It's called passport migration. It can be done, just make enquiries at the immigration office. Phiyin: Good morning. Please how did you do this? My validity is also less than two years and my course is 2years but i was told i have to use it like that because its only until after 6months i can renew |

Thank you so much JustMellow: Hello AdoChel,
Since the renewed PP upon its issuance will carry the old PP number, you can go ahead to apply with it. You can even decide to send the biodata page of the renewed PP to IRCC by webform or email even before PPR once the renewed PP becomes available.
Best of Luck |

Please can anyone help answer this. Thank you AdoChel: Hi everyone.
My passport will expire in less than two years. I decided to apply for passport migration since the duration of my course is 2 years. My new passport is not ready yet and I still have my current one.
My question is:
Can I use the current one to apply for my study permit and then submit the new one for visa stamping? I believe that my new one would be ready by then. |

Thank you very much Royalty95: A letter of introduction is sent by IRCC telling you that your application have been approved. It also contains information regarding your travel.
You will get this letter after receiving PPR and your passport have been sent to IRCC for stamping |

Thank you very much TundeTheHunter: I do not know what Letter of Introduction is. BVL - Biometrics Verification Letter PPR- Original Passport Request
Receipt of BVL indicates that a decision has been made on your application and you should receive that decision soon (usually within 24 hours).
This is why most people who have posted their timelines show receipt of BVL & PPR on the same day. |

Thank you for sharing this information. Please if my siblings also have visas, do I have to include their visa pages? Rootiab: Good morning everyone. This advice is for those having document compression issues. What worked for me. I had to compress each separately before merging them together. Also for those just applying. Prayer and patience is key. My application just took 2 months at the dot. Although I feel everyone's application is different. Also if your parents have visa to other countries. Please attach them. Good luck to everyone. Also, the 3 days quarantine may be ending April 30th. So let's just keep an open mind to whether they'd extend it or not |
