The construction processes of a warehouse. I will be sharing two different warehouses construction processes here. The first was a new work and the other a renovation/ rehabilitation work. New warehouse construction This is a composite structure. It comprises of the structural steel ( the portal frame) and the reinforced concrete members of various sizes that were partitioned into various spaces. These are the offices, large open storage spaces, cloakrooms and toilets. This project has been completed and delivered. We started the construction works in July 2021 and delivered / handed-over in March 2022. Pinettum : 08028136294

No man wants to marry a liability and no woman should be a liability to anyone. I detest seeing mothers become helpless because they are foolish enough to marry without a source of livelihood. No matter how small do something. The husband might tell you he's capable of taking care of you but what happens when you start having children? You still expect only him to carry all the load when you can assist? Marrying without any source of income is FOOLISHNESS |
Some people lay nylon before placing the paving stones to prevent plants/ weeds from growing between the space. See here. Whichever method you choose, make sure the slope/ gradient is such that allow water to flow out of your property with ease and quickly too.

R.A the best boss. He's not just a boss but a teacher. He's an engineer extraordinary. Unlike other bosses, he will give you a project to handle and teach you how to succeed on the project.. He encourages and equip you as well. He was my very first boss. I learnt so much from him... |
There’s not a Friend like the lowly Jesus: No, not one! no, not one! None else could heal all our souls’ diseases: No, not one! no, not one! Jesus knows all about our struggles; He will guide ’til the day is done: There’s not a Friend like the lowly Jesus: No, not one! no, not one! He's the only true friend I have, others will leave. Only him will be there for me.. |
This gragra is unnecessary. Let them show her the cctv footage if truly the daughter stole then she should be ashamed of herself but if not shoprite should be sued for false accusation. |
Before working on any crack it is important to observe the pattern and progress of the fault lines. Is the crack getting longer and wider ? You can measure the length and width of the crack to know if it is progressing over a particular time. It is not advisable to work on a progressing crack because it will keep reoccurring unless you resolve the main cause of the crack. |

I wish every woman will know her worth. We are worth more than money could buy. And marriage is good if you marry the right person for the right reason. My type is LIMITED EDITION. We are scarce and not just for any man. I AM A GOOD WOMAN, AN ASSET TO ANY MAN |
Does crack means the building isn't fit? The presence of cracks in a building can be worrisome especially if the crack continue to spead and gets wider. It can result in tilting, deflection, partial or total collapse of the member. But the major concern will be whether the cracks are structural or non structural. Non structural ( hairline) cracks are cracks on partition blocks , plaster or screeds .They pose no structural problems to the building and can be easily repaired. Structural cracks are those ones on the structural members such as beams, columns and slab which could be as a result of poor structural design/ construction , change in the use of the structure, settlement and more. Shearing of the structural members is a sign of failure and requires immediate attention to prevent further shearing and eventually fall or collapse of the structure. The building can be fit or unfit depending on the severity of the cracks. It is advisable to engage the services of a structural engineer to determine this. Non destructive testing should be carried out on the structural members of abandoned and distressed buildings before renovating them. If you observe a structural crack on your building. Get a professional involved. Pinettum.....08028136294 |
Isn't there a better way to correct that daughter of yours instead of dipping her hand in hot water. Gosh! Woman thou art wicked and you should be punished for this. |

2. Moisture movement is another cause of Cracks in building. Water removes air/ voids from the soil and compacts the soil during the process. If the subsoil was not well compacted this could result to differential settlement of the foundation. Once the building begins to settle differently, it will cause a pull effect on the structure and cracks begin to appear. 3. Temperature change causes expansion and contraction of the structure too. In extreme cases this can also result in cracking of portion of the structure. 4.The design and construction method could also result in cracks if not done properly, such as poor mix ratio, improper mixing, under or over reinforcements of stuctural members, foundation not well compacted, honey combing in concrete etc. 5. Other times the soil condition can cause cracks if the the overburden load of the building cannot be adequately supported by the subsoil. This can cause settlement and results in crack around the foundation which could easily spread to other parts of the building and begins to open , If not addressed quickly.. |
Causes of cracks in building 1. Vibration: Crack occurs due to stress from vibration, temperature change, water movement, settlement, poor design and construction techniques and more. During the construction process alot of vibratory activities happen on the site. Chiseling, pulling and dragging of materials, breaking of portion of wall, dropping of heavy materials on the floor. These are some of the activities that can cause movement within and around the building resulting in cracks. |
It is important to know the cause of the crack(s) before any remedial measure is taken to avoid it re appearance, loss of money and waste of time. |
Here are some cracks in pictures.

The appearance of crack on a building, whether newly constructed, on- going construction or an old construction is a sign of weakness and shouldn't be overlooked. Cracks are signs that something is happening within and around your build. They are fault lines that distorts the aesthetic of your building Pinettum.....08028136294 |
What a shame. He should be made to drink water from that well. |
It's sad that you are going through so much but you need to get yourself really occupied and kill the dejected spirit. |
This war should end already. Enough of killings to prove a point. These are human beings not animals being killed. #Notowar |
Interesting facts about a working country. |
External works continue. Paving stones are used as pavement for external works. They are the most suitable pavement in water logged areas. The space between the stones allows water to seep through it and ensure that water retention is reduced to minimum.. They are easy to install , maintain and repair. They can be reused. They come in various shapes, sizes and colours. They are referred to as interlocking paving stones because each piece of the paving stone is interlocked with the other piece to prevent movement of one part from the other. They come mostly in 6mm and 8mm thickness. The 6mm thick is used for walk ways and light vehicular loads while the 8mm are for normal to heavy vehicular loads.

The essence of the Damp proof membrane (nylon) is to prevent rising dampness of the building. It is a very good practice. This is placed on the ground before casting the ground floor slab (German floor) A building is built in such a way that it's siting/ resting on the foundation. The foundation blocks are not expected to continue beyond the ground instead they are meant to support the blocks that will be placed on them at the superstructure works. These blocks are laid on the the concrete floor ( german) with motar bed not on the nylon please. So building is not "gummed" to the foundation but rather sits on the foundation. oolusola2:

I am worried too. It's possible to have such but this here does not have a column directly underneath the chain lintel. Also hope the supporting cantileved beam is reinforced adequately to support the weight of the other beam resting on it since there is no column support. Do extend the column to the end of the wall so that the lintel can properly rest on it. ( the column within your blue circle). Blessedpikin: |
