not surprised at you getting fed up with IT, not just to fed up but tired of just staying at the back office and your mates will be there making the whole money. Good thinking, my advise to you is to divert into project management, it is the in thing now, take option of Information management, You can as well do ITIL (Information Technology Infrastructure Library), It is the way to top Technical manager,

Romance / Re: Should I Marry Her Without Courting Her? by AfricaFace(f): 3:34pm On May 09, 2007
You know what , people still culd understand what life is all about ,

Courtship or no courtship , a good woman will still be a good wife
and a bad woman will still be a bad wife,

From my view and experiences, Women's attitude and xter are situational. tehy react base on situations. If you study your woman , do those thinds she likes and i promise you will get the best off her.

My advise to all you guys out there that are looking for a life partner

any woman who is not  diabolic, doesn't have a wicked mind , who is a christain(muslim) and doesn't flirt, that Likes your family value, relates well with your family, she is the best woman you can ever have. forget all other things, all other charcter will be displayed according to your attitude towards her,

Career / Re: Which Of The Project Management Certification Is Useful In Nigeria by AfricaFace(f): 4:04pm On Apr 16, 2007
Hi Glory , the US project management is called PMI and that of the UK is called Prince 2.
PMI teaches the total concept of project management and some methodology while Prince2 only exposes you to the methodology of project management.
But i advise you to train on PMI and can later read up PRINCE2 do the exams. but i advice you pick up PMI for now, that will bring you into the world of project manangement

Career / Re: Which Nigerian Bank Pays Best? by AfricaFace(f): 5:54pm On Mar 20, 2007
I was about posting before i saw a post from Otuwe.
Otuwe is very very right.
Infact BANK PHB is topping the list
Entery level =2.2m
Second Level=2.7 m
etc,
my friend got his letter of appointment few days back and fainted,
2.2m is the grosss pay,
350k out of the 2.2 m is called PIP, performance induced pay, no matter how bad you are performing , you will surely get up to 120k per anum for entry ,
bros you are sure of at least 2m every year , and they have stopped paying upfront. they pay consolidated now. i mean 2m/12 months , you take 166k home every month. this is no rumour. this is realllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Aceenture Job! by AfricaFace(f): 9:26am On Feb 20, 2007
Accenture is a great consulting firm with good career developement,
You write their test once in Life,
If you made a second Class Upper just go to their office in Idejo and Drop the CV with the recepetionist
The test is serious GMAT, you will be required to write an essay on 1. Politics or 2. economic Reforms or any part of Life in Nigeria.
You have to be fast abd accurate,

When you finish the GMAT , they will go in to mark the test and then give you the essay to keep you you busy ,
The will announce the result 10 mins after the essay writing
so your success depends on how well you did in the GMAT.

Best of Luck
Romance / Re: Met A Girl For A Week And She Is Dead Now by AfricaFace(f): 2:36pm On Feb 15, 2007
@ topic, i can't control the tears in my eyes, I know so many things are going on in your mind,

1. You didn't get to tell her that you love her
2. You had the opportunity of stopping her from dieing , if you had made the move to stop her from attending the party.
3. sorry , just take heart and seek solace in God, He is the only comforter
Family / Re: Must I Marry Her Because Of Pregnancy? by AfricaFace(f): 1:52pm On Feb 15, 2007
@ vesta,

It's really a sympathetic siituation, But wait. you said you dated her for two years, you wanted to enter seminary, you didn't want to marry, even if you want not her, Now you had a set of twins from her, Now she returned her engagement ring after sleeping again in your house for the weekend, , Your Life is complex, i have just seen the kind of person you are,

1. You are so scared of making a decision because you don't want to take a risk
2. You don't know what you want in Life ( a seminarain, a husband)
3. You beleived she used the pregnancy to tire you die, but u were not thinking with your head when you inpregnanted her

Boy , search your mind and do the right thing before nemesis catches up with you, Those kids will never forgive you for allowing their mum to suffer that way.
Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Bank Phb Salaries And Welfare by AfricaFace(f): 8:13am On Feb 07, 2007
Entry level for bank PHB is 2m
out of the 2m . you are very sure of 1.65m
the remaining .35m is called PIP performance induced pay,
the percentage you got depends on your performance, some gets 80% of the .35m
while some gets 0% of it. it is paid monthly.
Aside the 2m, you are also entitled tp PS-PROFIT HSARING as an entry level also depending on the profit made by the bank
you may get up 90k or more, this is paid once in a yr around october ,

They are really paying well.
But the pressure to perform for marketers seems to be highest in the industry

Lets be sincere to our self, your field of study has little or no application in nigeria, if you eventually get a job in nigeria nobody will be ready to pay you 60% of what you are getting now 90k pounds is 22,500,000/, that is 22 million , 500 thousand, sister i don't think you can get such money in nigeria unless your work/values turns over 10 times of that cash, But if don't have an option kindly come home and cut your coat according to your size, it might be difficult

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Kpmg Vs Nnpc Vs Diamond Bank by AfricaFace(f): 9:28am On Jan 29, 2007
Boy, you are good, to have employment letter from this three company's shows the rate of your intelligence,

I QUITE AGREE WITH TONYBLU, BUT I WANT TO ADVICE YOU FURTHER,
1. iF YOU ARE REALLY INTERESTED IN FUTHERING YOUR CAREER IN MECH eNG, I WILL PREFER NNPC FOR YOU, BUT AS SOON AS YOU GET INTO NNPC , TAKE SOME PROFESSIONAL COURSES AND CERTFIFCATIONS LIKE ENGINEERING PROFECT MANAGEMENT, DEVELOPE YOURSELF FURTHER , MAKE THAT PLACE UNCOMFORTABLE FOR YOURSELF AND FIND YOUR WAY OUT TO CHEVRON /SHELL/LNG/MOBIL, NNPC IS POLITICAL AND THE CAN THROW YOU OUT ANY MOMENT, BE GUIDED

2. IF YOU ARE TIRED OF SEEING ALL THOSE MACHINES AS AN ENGINEER, I WILL ADVISE YOU GO TO KPMG, A GOOD PLACE TO START A CAREER, A GOOD PLACE TO GET EXPOSED AND DEVELOPE, BUT THEN YOU ARE LEFT WITH CAREER DEVELOPEMNT IN AUDITING, TAXATION AND CONSULTING, ARE YOU READY TO WRITE ICAN EXAMS AND GET CHAERTERED IN TWO YRS , THIS IS THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN ACTUALLY GROW FAST, I HAVE A FRIEND WHO STUDIED EEE IN UI, HE TOOK UP CAREER WITH KPMG, HE DROPPED EVERYTHING ABOUT ENGINEERING , HE IS CURRENTLY WORKING IN THEir UK OFFICE, THEY WILL EXPOSE YOU TO THE LAST , I ALso HAVE A FRIEND WHO WORKED WITH THEM FOR THREE YRS ,,, BUT NOW IN ONE OF THE OIL COMPANIES, SHE MADE HER CONTACT WHEN THEy WENT FOR AUDIT PRACTICE IN THE COMPANY, IT'S A GOOD PLACE, pay is not as good as bank and nnpc

3, BOY PLEASE FOR GOD DAMN SAKE , DON'T GO CLOSE TO THE BANK, BANK USE TO BE LAST OPTION FOR PEOPLE LIKE YOU, YOUR GROWTH IN THE BANK DEPENDS ON THE AMOUNT OF CASH YOU CAN TALK CUSTOMERS INTO BRINGING TO THE BANK, CAN YOU GROW YOUR CABAL TO 300M IN 6 MONTHS , CAN YOU MAINTAIN THE TREND?? DO YOU WANT TO SPEND 7HRS DAILY IN THE HOT SUN LOOKING FOR DEPOSITS, OR do u want to morgatge your life as an operation staff and afford to sit down in the office for 10 hrs a day, ? , If you are a lazy type that doesn't mind doing a routine job for 5yrs, just debiting and crediting people's account, no developement of career, i think Bnking would be good, Gone are the days when guys use to do some deals with forex to make extra money for their pocket, CBN is out on it, ,,,,

I have adviced you, the final decision is for you to make, go ahead and choose for yourself.
Jokes Etc / Greedy Father by AfricaFace(f): 4:43pm On Jan 04, 2007
1. My friend's father that just came to LAGOS to see his son was on his way to his son's house from mile 2 to alakija,
when he asked the conductor , how much the fair was to alakija, the conductor said 30 naira. when someone going to okokomiko asked for the fair the conductor still said 30 naira, my friends father was worried, he said okomiko is twice as far as alakija, why are you collecting the same fair , he asked the conductor, and the conductor answered " na so we dey collect am oga", You know what , my friends father said in his mind " in that case i will get to okomiko to exahasut my 30 naira". and what happened when he got to okoko, he trecked back to alakija since he didn't have extra money with him, What a greedy man

2. The next day his son sent him to Asuwani to buy some shoes. His shoe size is 43, so when hegot to the shoe shop and asked them how much for size 43 shoe, the seller said 5 thousand he asked for the cost of size 44 and the guy said the same 5 thousand, He got angry and went to another shop, he was told the same thing size 43 and 44 na 5 thousand Oga, he said ok, since 43 and 44 are the same price and size 44 is bigger than 43, in as much as my size is 43 . i will buy 44 and wear it with toilet tissue, When he got home , he couldn't wear the shoe cause it is over sized . his son was very angry with him,

His son got more angry when he even said he was having waist pain as a result of the trecking he did the other day

@okokobioko, your situation is not explicit enough for us to advise you. @koolman, you don't just jump inot conclusion with minimum information. @ okokobioko, i will give you a generic advise because, i would have been able to give an obtainable advise if you had
1. Given us the name of the company that is inviting you for test in Abuja, Like you said, the offer you have wiill be slightly above 50k after probation, i will advise you not to go for Abuja test if the comapny will be offering you anything less than 50k.
2. Where do you stay, If you stay in Abuja, i will advise you to go for the test no matter how much they will offer, But if you stay in Lagos. i must tell you not to go for the test if they will offer anything less than 50k, and if you stay in Lagos , i will advise you to go f ro the text ifo they will offer you 70k and above, Besides, if you stay anywhere in Lagos, you can still take the offer, pple come all the way from Akute--Ogun state to Island, so this no excuse,

Explore all the opportunity and maximise alll the resources available to you.
