Accenture is a Big Consulting firm of the likes of KPMG and PWC. It is a multinational company that has branches in all the parts of the world. It's involved in IT , Accounting, Audting,Foresenic, etc Consultation for all the big companies in Nigeria including your NNPC. it was the consulting arm of AA--ANTO ANDERSON before they went down. Accenture will give you an exposure you will never get anywhere in this country even in NNPC. Within  your First 6 months in Accenture , you will be under training, , some where in UK, USA or at worst south africa. one of your welcome Package is A personal Laptop that will enhance your work, But my dear friend, are you ready to be working and studying at the same time, My friend calls his office (Accenture) a cooperate University. To whom more is given more is expected,  Fialure is not a choice, Your promotion is based on your Performamnce, you are not copying anybodies work, you have to read hard and go for trainings round the world,  You won't be surprise that after 8 months you will be sent to go and Audit GTB,
A good place to be,,,, Good pay indeed,  If i had the opportunity, Accenture would have been second to none in my choice,  remember you will leave accenture as a consultant, wheather you like it or not.

  NNPC----  this company we all know is dieing seriously ,  Thank God they haven't sold it to themselves,  Who knows. I don't know what their Salary is, But mind you, you can be in NNPC for 10 years without adding any value to your Life because there is no work to do there. , those greedy Oga's will set your office on fire after embezzling some funds and you will become jobless again, 

I would have had a second choice if we were comparing Accenture and Shell or Chevron, But not NNPC.

My dear, i had the same experience 3 yrs back, Though i had no one to advise me, i quickly made the choice myself, You know what , i rushed into the bank, For the first 6 Months , i had Fun, meeting people, and all that, after that i starting getting bored , i didn't like what i was doing anymore, i started making moves of getting into Full IT department of the bank (though i was doing some branch support ), didn't know i was stepping on some people's toes. At this juncture, i couldn't resign my job because i don't even have any to fall back to, I don't even have time to go for interviews,,, because weather you like it or not, once you enter Banking Industry , your Life will be Mortgaged to them. You Know what i did, I started developing myself, i started with Oracle 9i Database Administration, because of Time i finished the four Exams in 18 months. that amounted to my stay in the bank for 24 months(2 yrs). I started flying my CV as an IT SUPPORT/ ORACLE DBA. God so kind i was invited for some interviews which i postponed to weekeends, To cut the story Short, one of them Clicked, So i am fully in IT in a Multinational company doing what i like, had all the time to myself (8hrs daily minus 1hr full break ), reading and writing getting more exposed , infact i have been there for six months now, with my exposure , i am considering a secondary Career in Project Management which i have started studying for)

My dear, the issue is , what do u want. If you really want a career and to be happy , don't think of Banking, there is no career there, besides you can't join any other industry if you spend like 3 yrs in the bank,,,, Your Trend will be Bank ( frm zenith to oceanic to UBA. and may finally first bank---hahahaah). So if you need so much money immediately , to solve problems and raise your statues amongs your contemproray, go for the bank. But my Advise is that you should go for IT firm, take three---five yrs to develope yourself very welll, You know what/ you can cross to the Bank as an IT manager, Strategy Manager, Brand Manager, etc, Talking from Experience,

My Dear brother, Invetment in Nigeria with such amount is a waste of time and money, but if you try it then, don't excpect any income in less than 10yrs. Definetly , oracle said for you to have your OCP certificate sent to you, you must do a hands on , which would be done through the above Link, on the process you will be required to enter the name of a Licence Training center where you did your training( a must) and your registration number which the Licence organisation must have gotten for you from Oracle International, i will be so sorry if you did not take your OCP training from a licenece organistaion, i did my training for the 3 exams (sql, fundamentals 1&2 ) with a home teacher , i did my exam and passed , but after that i was told about the new rule of hands on, so i got myself registerd with a licence organisation (NIIT or APTECH or LEARNIT, ETC, ), not just anyone.

@bensimon, i really share your view, the issue is why does she want to sleep overnight, it really sounds so funny in this part of the world, we pursue shadow instead of substance, from my understanding , it takes  10hrs  to make a night  in Africa, and  the remaining 14 hrs for a day, so if your daughter can stay in her boyfriend's house for the 14 hours during the day , what stops her from staying the remaining 10hrs of the night ,Sex can still be done during the day not only at night, My people, my argument is for us to train our children, tell them what is right and wrong,  teach them the implication of frequent actions, am sure they will choose to do the most appropirate thing, if we inculcate the necessary values on our children, the issue of sleeping over in boyfriends house might not arise, they will do the right things at the right time

I JUST ADDED 4 WORSTATION TO THE DOMAIN/NETWORK , BUT I REALSIED THAT ONE OF THE WORSTATIONS TAKES AGES TO CONNECT TO THE SERVER, WHENEVER I WANT TO ACCESS ANY SHARED FOLDER ON THE ON THE SERVER, THE WORKSTATION TAKES A LONG TIME TO GET IT AND MIGHT FINALLY NOT, RECENTLY I WANTED TO INSTALL ADOBE ACROBAT ON THE SYSTEM BUT THE EXEC FILE IS IN THE SERVER , RUNNING THE APPS FROM THE SERVER WAS A NIGHTMARE, AFTERALL I COPIED THE EXEC FILE TO THE COMPUTER WT A PEN DRIVE TO RUN IT. @ fellybaby, you  have just taken a bold step into becoming an  Pi OCA/COP, any way i hade my OCA 2005 AUGUST and my OCP 2006 JUNE, but right now i am studying to do 10g upgrade . so i will advise you not to go into 9i certification, start with 10g OCA AND OCP. you can just read 9i for  knowledge compatability with 10g. Oracle is good , interesting and REWARDING.

I still wonder how somepeople see life. Why do u want to move, for cash or career advancement, if it's Money, Boy you have the whole world at your feet, move on , if it's career wise, you may have to consider your present job and the challeges in the new job, These you should have known/ask on the process of interview. But mind you 6 yrs exeperience in the same job and the same company is regarded as one yr experience by pschologist/hr. It's always good to move ahead, even if starcooms doesn't suite you at the end, try spending at least 6 months and look for another job, it will be in your CV that have a telecoom Experience, Open your Eyes boy, Those who are scared of making mistake/ taking Risk doesn't grow in Life. I had that same problem 6 months ago, i took up the decision of moving , Though i didn't get all expected , but i am working hard to exploit all the opportunities in my the company to my advantage , then i will move ahead.
