-I'm no fan of Assad, but it's obvious our governments needed an excuse to use Syria's strategic importance.
-Uganda, Congo, Rwanda, Darfur, Sudan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Armenia, and Bangladesh had way more innocents killed and the World stayed quiet because those places didn't have enough "resources" for our governments to care, Syria is strategic and has quite a few resources.
-What the government hasn't calculated is that those same rebels they support, love al-qaeda and I can pull up sources to show they are one in the same. Plus they've made it their mission to created an islamic emirate intolerant to the pro western NATO member of Turkey, they want to retake the Golan Heights, they want to fight Hezbollah and send their armies into Lebanon to send it into another Civil War, and the same as Iraq. They want the Jordanian monarchy overthrown.
-By the way, have we ever received back our weapon shipments we gave to jihadists in 1980's Afghanistan and 2011 Libya? What guarantee is it that our "freedom fighters" in Syria will give up Assad's chemical weapons and the anti-tank weapons we gave them if Assad is overthrown?
