🤷🏽‍♂️

Maybe I put it the wrong way.

All things being equal he should’ve been a City player. At 12 he was already in their academy and was on course to sign a professional contract with them

SAF scouted and signed him 2 years later. Kinda like the Obi situation.
Yeah, it was definitely not a case of us buying him from City. I don't think we even had to pay a compensation unlike Obi's case.
Giggs own is a bit different to Obi’s and not that uncommon. Giggs moved at 14 at which point loads of players change academies or join academies for the first time. Beckham joined us at 14 as well even though his parents were diehard United supporters.

Chido Obi joined us just before he turned 17 and was months away from his first professional contract when he joined us. He actually joined Arsenal at 14 which was the age Giggs joined us. Giggs Man City to Man Utd case is more like Obi's KB to Arsenal case.

Just learning now that Man Utd bought Ryan Giggs from Manchester City. 😮
No.

He signed for our academy at 14 after previously being at the Man City academy.

Yes sir if we win 1-0, we'll have 12 GA as them but H2H will nick it for us, we scored 1 in their home while they didn't score in Nigeria. That's what I understand from the rule. The away goal we scored in Benin will put us through
I didn’t know about the away goals rule.

Semid4lyfe just mentioned it in the other thread.

The group stands as

Benin, 17 points, +5 GD
South Africa, 15 points +3 GD
Nigeria, 14 points +3 GD

Benin vs Nigeria ended 2 - 1 in Ivory Coast.

A 1 - 0 scoreline for us in Uyo pegs Benin GD to +4, and increases ours to +4 as well., and will see us go through provided SA doesn't win against Rwanda.

The tie between Nigeria and Benin will then be decided based on away goals scored in the matches between both teams. Nigeria scored 1 goal away, and Benin did not score any at Uyo so we go through.

In case of a 2 - 1 victory, Nigeria & Benin will be tied on GD and goals scored away, and the disciplinary record of the two teams (team with less cards) will then be used as the tie breaker to decide the group topper, and qualifying team

Currently Benin republic has amassed 11 yellow cards, 0 red card.

Nigeria has 13 yellow cards, 0 red cards.

So we have to win by a 2 goals margin or 1 nil on Tuesday, and also ensure Benin accumulates more cards while we don't get any bookings.

Of course. our victory will be moot and useless if S/Africa defeats Rwanda on Tuesday. So, its still advantage SA because whats the probability of lightning striking twice in the same place?

By 6.45pm on Tuesday, we go know if we dey go world cup or not.
Lol. You are waiting for 6.45 pm on Tuesday.

What we are doing here on this thread is what Gen Z call catching cruise. LOL.

We are not qualifying and we truly do not deserve to qualify.

I didn’t know about the away goals rule. I just checked now and it says it is away goals scored in all the group games not in just the H2H games. Can you clarify from your sources.

Goal difference between Benin and Nigeria is 2

We just need to beat Benin by 3 goals and we are through. Whatever SA and Rwanda play is really not a factor, if we can beat Benin well well.

In all, it's a shame. This has been one of the easiest groups we have had in a while
If SA wins Rwanda they get 18 points. If we beat Benin by 1000 goals we only get 17 points.

We need to beat Benin by 2 goals and hope for a SA loss or draw in order to win the group.
If we beat them by 2 goals are GD improves from 3 to 5 while theirs drops from 5 to 3.
I agree that it’s a shame sha.

No. CAF uses H2H. If we win 1-0 and SA fails to win, we qualify direct ahead of Benin.
My first 3 points are H2H criteria.

Didn’t Benin beat us 2-1 in the first leg?

We win 1-0 we have better head to head
We win 2-1 its tied and they might start checking goals scored which should favor us
We win 3-2 means Benin wins the head to head
No.

The order is this;

Points scored in the games between both teams.
GD in games between both teams.
Goals scored in games between both teams.

Then
GD in the whole group games
Goals scored in the group.

If we beat Benin 1-0 or any single goal victory we will be even in all those parameters and FIFA will use fair play rating.

We need to beat them by 2 goals and hope SA draws or loses.

Unless Vitinha writes his will before he enters that pitch. With BlackTominay the midfield hyena next to him ( but really not next to him) and my boy Palmer also in midfield, Vitinha will need lucozade drip by 30 mins.

Then you have other moral support workers like Haaland, Salah, and Trent in Team B.

The gap in quality of true central midfielders is too much. Team A wins.

Even primary school student for Lagos back then don hear about Oluwole. Experts in forging. People with artistic talent wey don get template of almost every document known to man.

The difficulty is not in the forging process. The difficulty is in escaping detection. In a pre-computer world it was quite easy to escape detection by human eyes.

You are supposed to advise the Egbon bros about prostate cancer
Yeah, men of African descent are a high risk group.

There are no formal screening guidelines but I would recommend yearly blood tests (to check PSA) from the age of 40.

Colorectal cancer is also rising in the 3rd world as diets and lifestyle more closely mirror the Western world, so colorectal cancer screening from 50yrs (or even earlier) is recommended. Stool tests every 1-2 years if no added family risk. Colonoscopy if there is a strong family history. It is more expensive, more invasive but overall the better test.

Cancer is responsible for so many deaths all over the world. Cancer Research and the equivalent of this in other countries, have been in operation for many years and have been given billions of pounds, dollars euro’s. Why have they not found a cure, or at least a way to stop growth. Or do they have a cure, but it is much too expensive for a layman to afford ??

@Afrodoc, @Unlimited22 and other doctors in the thread.
Firstly, cancer is not a single disease but a very diverse group of diseases with very different causes and risk factors, very different genetic behaviour, and as a result, very different treatment modalities.

For example your race and exposure to sunlight is a major risk factor for skin cancer, HPV infection is a major risk factor for cervical cancer, smoking is a major risk factor for lung cancer etc

Some cancers have very effective cures while others do not, depending on the genetic behaviour of the particular cancer and its tendency to spread quickly. Cancers that change their genetic makeup rapidly ie mutate, and cancers that spread to other parts of the body quickly or quietly ie metastasise are often difficult to treat.

This is because if it changes its makeup often it is difficult to develop a medication that will effectively kill those cells consistently. Also, if it spreads quietly or quickly the person might not find out he/she has cancer until it is too late.

Melanoma and Merkel cell carcinoma spread quickly and mutate quickly as well so they are harder to treat compared to other skin cancers like squamous cell carcinoma of the skin or basal cell carcinoma of the skin. All are however curable if diagnosed early.

Pancreatic cancer can spread quietly and mutates frequently so it is often a death sentence as people find out when it’s too late.

Prostate cancer, Breast cancer, Thyroid cancer, non-Melanoma and non-Merkel skin cancers tend to have good survival rates because they often don’t change quickly and do not spread early.

As you can see, the picture is a very complex one.
I believe the keys to good outcomes are to address the preventable risk factors, screen for the cancers that have reliable screening tests, and seek medical review if one has any health issues. It is also important to go for regular medical check ups.

The cancers that one can readily screen for are Colorectal cancer, Prostate cancer, Breast cancer, Cervical cancer. Skin cancer can also be screened but is less relevant in our environment. Lung and Liver cancer screening has started emerging as well.

Braithwaite was also in GDM. I believe he lost the primaries to MD Yusuf. They were the only ones along with Etiebet who were willing to campaign against Abacha but when Abacha tabled their matter, Etiebet and MD Yusuf too finally folded.

Yes he has lost yards of pace , just like many brazilians at Similar age, Amorim needs to talk to him seriously, he cant be giving away cards like that. Although apart from reading the game and positioning, his passing and influence in game is far better than everyone in that CM position. If you watch our game closely, you will see that he is really a big influence and he has huge attacking threats even from deep. The issue we have in midfield is not really because of Casemiro, it is due to Bruno playing in the CM position, Bruno positional awareness and discipline is lacking, so our midfield is not thick enough. Its early days though, but I think we should have signed a competent CM this season instead of Cunha, to pair Casemiro in the pivot, then move Bruno to his proper AM position. Mount is even looking more suited to this system than Cunha. With just 1 game a week Casemiro is ok for this season, but we need to offload him and Ugarte next season, and get 2 proper CMs for the pivot.

Its early days, but Sesko seems to be a better footballer than Hojlund, and our new Gk seems not to be a panic shearer.
People for riot if we no buy Cunha. Many people here rated him far ahead of Mbeumo. I remember larride wanted to stab people here when he heard we were going for Mbeumo. 😀
It is good we bought both cos na safety measure in case one struggles. It is still early days sha, I think Cunha will come good.

What we could have done, if money was tight, was to get a competent CM on loan or on a free. All we needed was someone with decent mobility and technique, WHO IS SUITED TO THE POSITION. Then next season we make the big money moves in CM.

Starting this season with no competent central midfield addition is an indictment on both Amorim and Wilcox.

Normally people supposed identify the family of some of these shameless people in the video and remind them of how shameless their fathers and mothers were. History no supposed kind to them..
Uche Chukwumerije, Titilayo Ajanaku, Vivian Anazodo, ati bee bee lo.

Organizer: infamous Daniel Kanu.

All 5 political parties had jointly requested that Abacha be the unanimous presidential candidate.

UNCP which was the biggest party had Bode Olajumoke, Ibrahim Mantu, Ali Modu Sheriff, Iwuanyanwu etc

NCPN had Don Etiebet and a few others.

GDM had MD Yusuf.

MD Yusuf and Etiebet initially declared they would run against Abacha but under pressure and threats (Etiebet was actually arrested) they both folded and declared for him.

IMO, this joint declaration by all the political parties in favour of Abacha was a factor in Obj’s emergence the next year (after Abacha’s death) as the PDP candidate.

Although the team is always better with him. He is actually better than all our DMs. Shows how useless Ugarte is. Next season we need to cut our losses on Ugarte and sell him.
He is the only DM we have. He reads the game better, anticipates danger earlier and his positioning is better.
He however has no pace anymore, can’t dictate play, and is a loose cannon in terms of discipline.

It has gotten to the point that we need to take him off once he gets a yellow card cos he seems to get more reckless whenever he gets the first one.

I knew this midfield would be a problem and I mentioned several times during the transfer window. You are playing a system which you don’t have even a single midfielder that is suited to. Amorim and Wilcox both need to be drawn and quartered.

The point is Buhari didn't do anything significantly better than Jonathan to justify how Jonathan's administration has been chastised as it was uo till date. Remember Buhari was elected to make things better but that never happened considering the data. We shouldn't forget there was censorship of media at some point under Buhari.

That being said, I completely agree that it's a shame we are comparing worse president's when we should be comparing the best. It's unfortunate the situation we found ourselves.
See how we are comparing thousands killed violently yearly like we are talking about fish.

I think Buhari’s government has been chastised as well. One should not use one as justification to defend the other.

They all deserve to be criticised. They all failed the people and failed in their duty.
