Ibime: Many gurus say that walking puts your body in a state of relying on fat for energy as opposed to running which targets blood glucose. What's your take on that? They are right. It is easier to burn glucose than fat. While running your body can’t wait for the fat to be burnt into your energy so it takes the glucose. The other issue though is that running makes you lose more total calories. So you lose more fat proportionately by walking. You lose more total calories by running. |

Weight loss comes from net calorie deficit.
The more you eat, the more calories you gain.
The more you exercise (plus your basal metabolism) the more calories you lose.
The amount of weight you can lose comes from subtracting the latter from the former.
It works like a profit and loss table. Every bit of physical activity counts as calories and adds up in the loss column. Every bit of food you eat counts as calories adds up in the profit column.
The difference is that the food adds up easily to plenty calories and while the exercise does not add up to plenty calories easily.
Diet is more important in weight loss but exercise is not useless. Exercise also has other health benefits beyond weight loss. |

TemporaryHansel: In the US, if you go out, there's literally no guarantee you'll make it back home. What an unsafe country.
If Trump is serious, they need to start arresting Democrat leaders, their constant violent rhetorics is stoking flames in the country. Civil war might be inevitable for them once more with the way they're going. In politics, you either lose or win, when you lose relax, and strategize to win, but the Democrats don't want to accept that. They praise, and glorify violence against people who share contrary views. The Republicans are equally as culpable. They are the ones who invaded Washington DC and their parliamentary building when their guy lost, holding elected officials hostage at gun point. There are no saints in this situation, only sinners on both sides. |

Kimbeast: Thank you for this. Exercising does little for weight lose. Infact it's a waste of time. Changing your diet is the sure thing or taking Ozempic. It is not a waste of time. Diet is key but exercise plays a role. Not just in weight loss but general health (cardiovascular and musculoskeletal). |

As for the tests, I think a lot of people are scared of taking the tests because they're scared of finding out the results. Them no wan see result wey go put them for overthinking mode. Yeah. Try get a small gym installed. Even if na treadmill, cycle, and a few weights. Yeah those tests can be scary but it is probably better to know early when something can still be done about it than to find out when it’s too late. |

TemporaryHansel: I checked my BP two days ago. I have the machine in my house so I check it regularly. I have never really been used to walking long distance. Anything more than a 7 - 10 minutes walk is stress to me. I remember one time when I was still in school, I saw some of my friends trekking, and decided to trek with them, I couldn't sit nor stand properly when I got home that day lol.
I used to be a gym enthusiast briefly, but that was in the past, you know as time goes on priorities change due to responsibilities, and other stuffs. It’s good that you check your BP regularly. Many people don’t. You however have to take the exercise thing regularly. Your health should be your main priority because without it you will not be able to carry out those responsibilities. A guy came to my practice recently for a check and the result came back that he was diabetic. I chased him with phone calls for days for him to either come back to start management or present at the nearest hospital. He missed appointment for days because of his job and other responsibilities. It was after I begged him that if anything happens to him someone else will be appointed to take over those responsibilities, that was when he promised to show up. The day he was meant to show up we didn’t see him again. We called him only to find out he had been rushed to the hospital the day before. |

Diouf kor, Djemba Djemba ni. Those of us that watched the mega way Diouf flopped at Liverpool can't be deceived. In his 2nd and final season, he played 33 games and scored ZERO goal. Goalkeeper stats.

timbros: That your bolded is exactly what you guys use to rate Diouf lower in club level and it's funny. Lol
Bruh, Diouf played for Bolton and Rangers, Adebayor played for Arsenal and Real Madrid. Real Madrid is significantly a better team than Bolton.
Do you get the twist now? LOL you are comparing apples and car mirror. Adebayor was born in Togo and Diouf was born in Senegal. Neither of them was born in Bolton, Madrid, London so there must be a reason big clubs kept signing one of them while the other was touring yeye clubs. |

timbros: That 2 years made him better than Adebayor.
I still haven't seen anything that you guys mention Adebayor did aside playing for bigger teams. I'm sure if the table was turned and Adebayor had the kind of performance Diouf had in 2002 World Cup, this place will be flooded on why Adebayor is better.
You commented on Owen few days ago. How many years did Owen had before the injury that derailed his career? But history will never forget Owen because of those 2 to 3 years. You haven’t seen because you don’t want to see. Diouf has those 2 years and nothing else. Outside that nothing. Outside those 2 years he was playing for otu oshi clubs and dropping otu oshi stats. Adebayor had his 1st year when he carried Togo to the World Cup in 2006. He had his 2nd year in 2007 when he won BBC African player of the year. He had his 3rd year in 2008 when he won CAF player of the year AND PFA Team of the Year. You see that PFA Team of the year. Dem no born anybody in Diouf village well to try to enter that kain team. Outside these 3 years Adebayor had 2009-2010 when he scored 14 EPL goals. He had 2010-2012 when he scored 17 EPL goals. |

Kimbeast: England would have been better if all the great Britain nation play under one national team. They have lost out on some great players. I can think of 3 solid examples. in the late 70s/ early 80s when peak Dalglish could have joined peak Keegan in attack for possibly the best partnership in Europe. And in the late 90s/early 2000s when England had no LW and would have benefitted from Ryan Giggs skills. Then Gareth Bale. Nuff said. |

The truth is that the Owen that won the Ballon d’Or at 22 was already a shell of the player he could have been. I remember the time a player like Henry was rated below Owen. |

Naaa..If they have any shame, they would whoop SA on Tuesday. When I say whoop I mean, serve dem 3-0 for their home. Why should we be struggling to beat Rwanda at home? I went through their starting lineup. They all play in 2nd rate leagues in Africa. The only person playing in Europe is their striker, who plays as a LEFTBACK in the French 4th division. They also someone in Azerbaijan league and another player in the 2nd tier league in the US. |

Rapmoney: I just stumbled on the Super Mario Bros game that was first released in 1985. Fond memories. I used my saved pocket money to buy the Terminator Game Console that we used in playing Super Mario and other games like Contra, Duck Hunt and Mortal Kombat.
I literally trekked to school for a long time just to save N850 which I used to purchase the game. This was in 1996. My house became a theatre, always filled with friends until Popsy seized the game and asked me to concentrate on my books. If you get this game console that year, you be sabi pikin.
How many of you saw the princess at the end in Super Mario? Ibi yi lo ma ku si. |
