TrebleChamp: Same thing Captain Bruno is trying to do, but a stupid player called Sancho told him to stop Moaning. Ronaldo complained about the indiscipline in the team last season, but he was already some people's enemy for not pressing brea.st well so his complain didn't count.. I like Bruno but maybe if he reduced the frequency of his falling to the ground clutching face, leg, and balls, his teammates would listen more. Comparing Bruno to Roy Keane is almost sacrilegious. There is only one Keano! |

Theflint1: True sha, just that the football looked truly atrocious, maybe na cause na their mate dem dey follow play, and not women. A match might not look appealing stylistically if 2 evenly matched teams are playing, especially if they are either defensive or physical, however the speed, acceleration, power, co-ordination edge that boys obtain once they are a couple of years into puberty makes it a very uneven field vs women. A good senior women's team could probably beat 13yr old boys who are just entering puberty, but once the boys hit 14-15 na sai gobe. |

Theflint1: 2-1, they scored two first, then Nigeria pulled one back. They were more skillful than our guys, though from when I started watching we were dominating, probably cause we were the ones chasing the game.
True u-17 football isn't very different from senior team female football, I'd say it's on the same level of quality. Under-17 has more quality. If a top-quality Under-17 team handles a top-level senior women's team you will shed tears for the women. |

BlueRayDick: Two disturbig things about this news:
1. The news piece gave a vivid description of the identity of the informant thereby putting his life at serious risk. It's more like the author of the news article wants the criminals behind the bunkering know with certainty the person who ratted them out.
2. The army has added to the problem of environmental degradation by setting fire to the facility. Like is there no other way to stop the operation of the illegal facility other thansetting fire to the place and releasing dangerous chemicals into the atmosphere? That informant is one man that must japa by force. That journalist just marked him for death. |

BlueRayDick: The judge saw it as a case of two arms of the executive fighting without involving their boss ( Buhari ) and somehow they want the judiciary arm of government to take sides.
The apparent danger in it for the judge is that he doesn’t know who Buhari will be backing between DSS and CBN. The Judge still remembered how Onnoghen left unceremoniously, how apartments of justices were raided by same DSS.
So I’m thinking the judge just needed to play that card to let both parties and their boss know he’s not taking any sides for now. If u ask me , I think he made the right decision cos days after Emefiele was seen going around with army convoy to ward off any planned DSS arrest .
Nigerian judges are not independent . Your last statement settles it. They are not independent and their rulings are based either on the highest power or the highest bidder. Their decisions are political decisions not legal decisions and they hand down phantom justice. For clarification, does that No3 point make sense to you? A judge criticising the EFCC for not arresting the respondent FIRST, and applying for warrant later. LMAO. The only good points he made (in a sane society) were that the EFCC did not show him enough reason to believe their case had merit, and to a lesser extent that they didn’t give enough identification to specify the Godwin Emefiele they wanted. Although one can then ask if he wasn’t sure of the Emefiele involved why then was he referencing seeing him on TV with the President, but that would be petty. Lol That judge was focused more on staying out of trouble than delivering justice. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: EPL Chatroom - All Discussions by afrodoc2: 4:08pm On May 11, 2023 |
BlueRayDick: That’s because the DSS was fooolish and incompetent in the process of applying for the arrest warrant . The judge explained his reason for denying Emefiele’s arrest warrant below The judge made a good point in his No1 point abd the first part of the No2 point, however the second point of the No2 point and the no3 point do not seem reasonable. So the court wants the EFCC to arrest Emefiele BEFORE applying for arrest warrant. Miracle no dey tire Jesus. Imagine the EFCC that used to carry out illegal and irregular arrests now decided to be law-abiding and get a warrant first, and the judge is castigating them for it. And what concerns the boss of the respondent with the application for the arrest warrant? So if the boss of the respondent I.e the President does not approve the application the judge can’t follow the law? I thought the judges were meant to be independent and there was meant to be a separation of powers? This is just a case of a “shaky shaky daddy” judge who believes there are sacred cows and who didn’t want to step on toes. That No3 point in particular is quite ridiculous. |

Instead of signing Bellingham, I'd rather we develop Mainoo who is more technically gifted.

I agree with his position. It is like asking JAMB to refund your JAMB fee if you do not pass the exam. The standard practice worldwide is that visa application fees are not refundable. A better move would be to ask for the application fees to better reflect the local environment in terms of cost. |

ChristineC: I hope his body balance has improved though because despite his obvious talent, balance has been the major impinge. I think he'd return alongside Alvaro Fernandez and Hannibal. they have had successful loan spells. The guy is much stronger now. Championship is a rugged league and he is holding his own. He has actually impressed me on this loan because i had some doubts about him just like you with regards to his physical limitations. I am still not sure about his speed/acceleration though. Alvaro's loan was also very good as you noted but i am not sure he has the speed to keep up with premier league wingers. The guy is a LB playmaker of real quality though. Hannibal's loan was iffy. Birmingham play the worst brand of football in the league. I nearly developed "Apollo" watching them play. |
