United players also face open spaces a lot of times, especially Rashford and PocoLee.

90% of the time, they fail to do anything meaningful with that space. All they care about is to shoot, even when a teammate is in a tap-in position.

That is partly on the manager but the players are at fault too. Poco Lee in particular disgusts me with his one-track mind and his one-leggedness.

The most annoying part is the lackadaisical display.

Look at Everton midfielders and attackers putting in a shift and winning balls. Rashford will be walking around expecting the defenders and Casemiro to win the ball back so that he can lose chances.

EtH is not serious, walahi.

It is often easier to execute your ideas as a coach in a small team. For one the work ethic and ego of the players is different from that of big club players. Look at Iwobi and McNeil tracking back and playing like extra full backs. Doucore is running back and forth like a man possessed.
The other thing is that small teams often play in transition and face open spaces unlike big teams that face low blocks and packed boxes most of the time.

That is why a manager like Potter that everyone was hyping will go from playing good football at Brighton to looking as clueless as a volleyball coach that was drafted in to coach football for the first time at Chelsea. Even this De Zerbi if he goes to a big team next season and starts flopping you will now see people calling zebra and zebrudaya.

Football has changed. With teams playing just 1 striker, wingers are now inverted because they are a dual threat (creator and scorer). A traditional winger is limited to being mainly a creator and not a scorer, which is why it worked in the old 4-4-2 when there were 2 strikers waiting in the box.

This is rewriting of history. Ordinary benching that they benched Ronaldo you bought petrol and silk cloth and got ready to burn this place down.

The same people that hamstrung ETH in that transfer window by not providing proper support are doing the same for next season. We are in May and we don’t know who our owners will be next season, not to talk of knowing how much the manager will get to spend.

Club that they started selling in December o. May they have not finished selling it yet. By the time the new owners settle every obvious game changing player would have been bought and we will have to rely on our incompetent scouts to unearth a gem.

His playmaking is not good. He is actually quite unproductive with the ball. The only thing he has going for him is work rate.

Kvara was regarded as Napoli’s best player for most of the season.

He is a dribbling goal creator like Maradona and was nicknamed Kvaradonna by the Napoli fans.

He is the playmaking heir to Maradona so it is only natural that Maradona crowns him and not a No9.

Italy is a very racist country but there is a very logical non-racist explanation for that picture.

Some of the passes from the Brighton keeper made my heart skip a beat. I know my DDG could never complete such perfectly weighted and angled passes. DDG would have raised my blood pressure trying that.

There was a time it looked like were playing attack vs defence. Brighton attacks us with scintillating moves, our defence stops them only for DDG to kick the ball back to them, and they attack us again. This happened like 3-4 straight times without any attack from us. Which defence can withstand such pressure without pipe bursting?

DDG, Maguire, Fred, McTominay all should leave and if i had the power i would consider offloading AWB as well. He has his strong points but i don't think he suits a possession-based team. Weghorst needs to go back to sender while Sabitzer can be a squad player.

The point is the Lord and master of possession football Pep has been happy with Ederson who is an inferior shot stopper to both DDG and Allison, mainly because he is so good with his feet.

That is the point you guys are not getting. If you want possession Football you can’t have a keeper who can’t pass. If we signed Pep tomorrow the first person he would kick out of the club is DDG.

Nobody said DDG was the only problem. I thought we were talking about where we need to improve. If we keep DDG we will not be a possession dominating team. That does not mean we don’t have other places to improve in.

Also the bench mark for passing out from the back in the EPL is Ederson not Allison.

The pioneers of tiki-taka/possession-based football are not stupid for snubbing DDG.

You are very right. Trying to develop a play out from the back style with DDG is dead on arrival.

His accuracy is poor, his ball positioning is poor, the pace on his passes is often bad (too slow and the defender gets closed down or too fast and the defender struggles to control the ball).

Anytime he goes long we surrender possession.

It would be very difficult for any possession based team to thrive with DDG in goal.

I think ETH's reputation as a disciplinarian is just a fable. That is the only thing that explains the indiscipline in passing the ball. Nobody gets punished for laziness in possession.
