My take on this discussion is that Feminists tend to have logical points at the core of their arguments, but then they dial everything up to 11 and use their extremity to distort what should be a practical common sense position.

The simple truth is this - males and females attain their peaks inversely proportionally to their age.

This simple fact is what any aspiring feminist should bear in mind when making ANY feminist argument.

A 23-25 year old woman is at the peak of her physical beauty. From 26, its all downhill. When she hits 30, she only has a few child bearing years left. The pool of men she can typically attract from 30 is a lot smaller than it was 5 years prior, because guys younger than her are typically looking for their age mates, and guys older than her are either already married, or looking for girls younger than her.

A 23 year old man is probably at the peak of his broke stage - he just graduated from uni, maybe started his first job still living at home etc. He starts to get comfortable enough to get married around 27-28, and will typically begin to really begin to reap the financial fruit of his career labours around 33 years old.

A 33 year old mam with money to burn is typically not looking for his age mate. He is looking for the girls he could not afford to be with in his peak physical years in his early to mid twenties.

Another thing is that women really tend to date and marry up, rather than down. Most women who are doing well tend to get with a man who is doing better than them, rather than worse. This presents an interesting challenge for the career driven woman, who at age 30 and above, soon finds herself in a situation where all the available men who are doing better than her, are looking for young talent, forcing her to consider dating down.

It is only when a woman gets to this age, and continues to brag about being unable to cook, and is not Kim Kardashian, that I would be interested in listening to her argument.

The Irony of your argument is that women across the world, brought up in different cultures from hyper conservative to Uber liberal have been and still are being taught to cook.

The target market of designer cooking utensils and accessories are not men, they are women. The stars of the cooking threads in this platform are women and no one is bothered with it.

A woman who can cook is as important to a marriage as a man who can knack properly. Yes you can do without either, but a lifetime of this will be pretty grim.
