Exactly! We have seen this play out many times. Greenwood was just unlucky. I'm worried for Greenwood though. I have seen him many times try to force his way in the midst of many defenders inside the box when he should be looking up.

It has reduced recently. It is because he trusts that if he can get a shot off the keeper would be in trouble. He is now learning not to force things . He played very well in this last game. He, Shaw, Bruno, Maguire were our best players yesterday. He linked up the play very well against those giants in the crowded West Ham defense, created chances for others and was unlucky not to have scored hitting the post twice.
Imagine having a pass accuracy of 94.6% with 2 key passes as a striker in that crowded area..

You are right. He beat the keeper cleanly but was just unlucky to hit the post. If he had even passed to Rashford in that position he might have had to check back on his right to shoot and those desperado Wet Ham defenders might have crowded him out.

If a tap in is not available for a team mate Greenwood inside the box taking a clean shot on his left foot is almost always the best decision.

I don't think so, he does not have the talent that Shaw had when we first got him as an 18 years old. James cannot pass properly, cannot hold onto the ball properly, and is susceptible to making the wrong decision.

What do I know, if Harvey Barnes can show so much improvement; James has got some hope. Barnes went from a robust James to an excellent player in about a year.

You need to check their antecedents. Barnes was sitting players down in the youth team and in the championship which is why they kept playing him at the expense of other options. Dribbling and passing was not his problem but finishing. Finishing is the easiest of the 3 to improve in.
Dan James can do none of the 3 only running.

Yeah! You can't have both guys in the pivot moving too high, instead you push both fullbacks forward and the two wingers/wing forwards can tuck in and put more bodies in the opponent's penalty box.

He’s a fan of Fred. I understand how he feels. But then things will get to a point where you’ll have to look past your love-coated glasses and see the truth.

I think Fred misplaced his passes mostly when he’s in a hurry. And then there are other aspects of his game that I don’t want to talk about.

I for one have said Fred can pass but he often misplaces passes because he is careless with the ball. It is that inconsistency in passing especially with simple passes that frustrates.

This game no favour Dan James at all. No space to run into.

He’s been decent today. There have been some wayward passes but overall today’s Fred has been better than the former Fred.

This doesn’t absolve him of the hot shiit he’s served us in the past tho.

Allow the guy. When Fred starts misplacing passes now and people start complaining he will start complaining. One swallow does not a summer make. Lamela's rabona today doesn't suddenly make him a world beater.

It is not an outlandish statement. The guy should be careful cos body no be firewood. He is the only player that i frequently see limping off on Wednesday only to be fit again on Saturday. These things add up.

I remember Michael Owen always fighting his managers to play him even when he was injured or unfit, and by 25 he was finished. He later stated that it was one of the biggest mistakes he ever made in his career.

We have been rotating only 4 midfielders for weeks now, of which McTom just returned from injury and Matic is old. All our senior forwards are injured and Greenwood at 19 and Amad at 18 are expected to lead our attack today. Finally we are playing against an in form 5th placed team that has had extra days rest compared to us.

It's Match Day and there is no Excuse to drop any Points. Though seem we may unable to play any of Martial, Rashford and Cavani, but that shouldn't be an Excuse to drop any Points.

This may be Opportunity for Amad to start, along with Greenwood as CF and James on the left Wing. Top 4 is becoming a tight Race, we can't afford to drop Points any longer.

West Ham are 5th and are in good form while almost all our senior forwards and half of our midfielders are injured. It will be a very difficult match and the likelihood of dropping points is high.

Hmmmm, they should not and will not try it. It does not make any sense.

It makes complete sense when you realize that Woodward and the Glazers in the post-Fergie years have spent money mainly to maintain Champions League presence and the resulting commercial benefits. Winning the league is not their priority and most of their moves have been geared only towards qualifying for the champions league.

As much as i hated JM's style he realized this in his last transfer window when they refused to back him after coming 2nd the season before. They didn't back him not because they hated him or wanted him to fail BUT because they truly believed that a team that came 2nd the season before was still good enough to make top 4 (their secret goal) the next season.

Rather than push on from 2nd to 1st the next season they wanted to maintain Top 4 and when Top 4 was in jeopardy they sacked JM and appointed Amaka as a temp. Immediately Top 4 looked secure they appointed Amaka as the permanent manager. The fans are looking for ways to continue to spend and improve the squad until they win league titles but the board are looking for ways to spend to maintain Champions League Football.

Man City fans won't be afraid of height and Liverpool's forwards are not giants either. Instead of being concerned about height you should be concerned about quality of play and the creative structure of the team.

What I think happened ( which is a wild guess) is that they both owned the song i.e they co-wrote it while still together as a group and after the whole group thing wasn't working 2face looking for a hit song to put out there probably freestyle the song under his new management, they liked it and encouraged him to put the song out there.

Methinks blackface was pissed 2face did not only get credit for song they both came up with, but also made lots of money from performing it across the world while he (blackface)got nothing other than being called a frustrated igbo smoker who is jealous of his old friend's success.

I don't think 2face's version is a substandard copy of the song, rather it appears to me as a fine tuned R'N'B version of it.

You are probably right. Those 2 co-wrote several songs together and during the creative process it becomes difficult to calculate if a song is 50-50 or 60-40 or whatever.

Tuface could have avoided it from the start if he had given Blackface some credit and that is what got to Blackface. Faze is the only one that could have settled this (if he gave a truthful testimony)

Greenwood is Martial's height, and it is not just about height. Those same giant West Ham defenders won't find it easy against Pep's gang of dwarfs.

It is about team structure and creativity not height. It is football after all and not basketball.

Solskjaer has bought Maguire, AWB, VDB, James, Cavani and Bruno since he came and Greenwood was drafted in from youth team. Thats 7 players already. Out of the current regular starters only Fred, Mctominay, Martial, Rashford and Shaw that were there before he joined. Infact Rashford and Mctominay have both grown into proper professionals within these periods, and Shaw has massively improved. So this is clearly an Ole team. You cant sack the Glazerd or Woodward mow. Ole is the easiest problem to remove

I agree with you that the manager is the easiest problem to solve and should rightfully be the first to go. I have said it for a while now that he is not good enough to take us back to the top.

However you make it sound like if the manager changes everything would magically improve. I don’t want you or other people sharing that belief to be shocked if we still have some problems after changing manager.
Our contract and transfer negotiation teams are diabolical and keep wasting limited funds.
Our squad as constructed has several glaring deficiencies.
