Double DM pivot is the small problem. The major problem is that neither of them can receive the ball on the half turn or pass the ball.

There is no need to take back Dalot from AC Milan, rather we add €20m and get Kessie. Our Midfielders made him look like Seedof Yesterday, perhaps he's as good as he played last Night.

He's strong on the Ball, can shoot, energetic, skillful and can play both DM and CM comfortably. Kessie, Pogba and Bruno Combo won't be bad sha.

Franck Kessie has been good for a long time. I actually think his Milan move was a mistake as he somehow lost his way in the confusion that has plagued that club in recent years.

The problem is that he is African and has been playing for Cote d'Ivoire for 7 years and he is claiming 24. Considering African age he must be very close to 30 by now.

Finally any decent midfielder would look good against our midfielders. We are the only top club that plays 2 central midfielders that can't receive a pass on the half-turn (foundation of midfield play).

Good evening nairalanders.
Please I need advice/opinions on this issue at hand.

I have been taking care of my mother since before I got married, I have other brothers older and younger but they are not financially buoyant. (So they claimed) I did not mind this but kept on caring for her ( house rent, feeding, other bills).

Although it's a burden to me, but she is my mother. Now my wife suggest that any money I want to give to her should pass through her (I will send to my wife then she sends to my mother) or she does the sending and I later pay her back.

Her claim is my mother is fetish with my money. I'm confused can this be true? Sometimes my mother will make simple money request my wife would say I should ignore her. She says she is taking me for a fool. I am beginning to get tired of this whole thing. Please help with advice or opinions.

Thanks.
If mumu was a country you would be the life president. The wife that you just met yesterday is telling you that your mother who carried you for 9 months and cared for you all your life until you became a man is fetish and you are considering it?

She wants you to withhold money from and potentially starve your own mother and you are confused about what to do?

At best you are a Homo erectus cos Homo sapiens means wise man, and you are mos def not wise.

I think this might be a sign that there could be significant transfer activity over the summer.
The question of who is involved is another matter though.

I'm just wondering how Fletcher emerged as football director.

Possibly an overseer of the academy/youth team structure, maybe?.
Nicky Butt is already head of first team development and is job is to pave the way for youth team players to transition into the senior team.

Fletcher's appointment looks superfluous to me. I am not sure where he comes in when Murtough is Football Director and Woodward's old college roommate is still Head of Transfer Negotiations.

At least we will no longer have the situation whereby Woodward's old college roommate Matt Judge who has a degree in in economics and knows nothing about football in charge of our transfers and reporting to his old college roommate Ed Woodward who is a chartered accountant and also knows nothing about football.

But you could be right as well. Woodward might just have found the right sacrificial lamb to be a target of all the abuse from the fans. Time will tell.

Appointing a competent football director/technical director is the barest minimum expected from them. They get no brownie points for doing the barest minimum of their duty.

Pepe is old skool. One of the last defenders that made it purely on their ability to stop goals and not about passing ability, skill or technique on the ball.
Pepe had 18 clearances. Mad ting. I don’t blame you for making your statement.

But you need to watch 1994 World Cup Final, or pretty much any knockout game that Baresi played in.

It seems only private practice makes sense in Nigeria. But even for that you need the initial money
Yes there are a number of people making serious money in private practice. Of course we are talking about establishing your own practice not working for someone else.
A combination of initial financial outlay like you rightly stated, good connections, and good practice is needed to make it work in Nigeria.

Another path to success in Naija is the political route. Get an MPH and if you link up with the right clique you could be running one HMO or NGO, or even a state ministry.

There are definitely people making it big in healthcare in Nigeria, it’s just that your chance of being successful increases once you leave the country.

VVD got injured in October yet 2 months later in December they were still topping the league, until Gomez and then Matip joined VVD on the injury list. It is not the absence of only VVD but the absence of the entire senior CB corps that is affecting them. That is the point Jodera was making.

At the bolded, key passes and wayward can't be in the same sentence. For a pass to be a key pass, it can't be a wayward. I agree that he made a lot of wayward passes yesterday, but the key ones weren't wayward, it's just that the player it got to failed to utilize it.

I remember one very scintillating cross KdB whipped in towards the Sterling on a platter towards the end of the match, only for the lad to nod the ball like a fool away from the goal post when he had the chance to score with Lindelof already on the floor and Henderson rooted at the spot, much to my excitement.

That was a key pass wasted by Sterling. KdB had a poor game yesterday by his standards but his key passes not troubling us wasn't down to him but his team-mates squandering the chances.
He does not understand what key passes are. He said so himself but keeps attacking that stat. I wonder why you would be criticizing a stat that you don't understand.

First said Maguire dealt with the key passes. FALSE

Then claiming that the key passes were wayward. HOW?

All in order to rubbish KDB. O wrong nau!

One reason why City struggle against us is that their wingers find it difficult against our full backs. Once Shaw and AWB are on form and pocket their wingers it is usually easy easy for us to defend against them cos their underlapping FBs means everything is narrow and we can just choke the defense.

I have stated here time and time again that Bruno’s stats though important are not his main strengths. KDB that I saw yesterday is very poor and he had been for the most part of 2021. He can deliver 100 key passes i dont care.

Seasoned british tabloids pointed out he was poor, I saw it, many City and neutral fans saw it. KDB was poor yesterday.
His team was trailing yesterday, from the first minute, so its unsurprising, based on your definition of key passes, whenever a teammate fashion out an attempt from his pass, its a key pass, i am knowing that from today. However, I am telling you that a good number of those "key passes" were from Corner Kicks and freekicks and moreover he is City's attacking midfielder a team trailing and looking to score, he will most likely deliver such passes. That will not blind me from seeing that he was very poor yesterday as collaborated by Credible British tabloids
You are using tabloids to corroborate your analysis? LOL

You have dropped like 5 untrue statements today to support your anti-KDB agenda.

1) You said he was off color when he attempted almost 20 more passes than Bruno, created 7 more chances than him, and had a higher passing accuracy.

2) You first said Maguire dealt with his aimless key passes which by definition is untrue.

3) You said his passing was wayward when at 79.4% it was okay for an AM and better than Bruno's.

4) You suggested that Ruud and Rooney had won PFA by leading us to the title which is also not true.

Drop your anti-KDB propaganda. You don't need to pull him down in order to praise Bruno. I for one appreciate the two of them.

Doc KDB was poor yesterday, everybody saw it. He loss possession needlessly in dangerous positions, couldn't string passes together, his passes were wayward and he was lacking extra yard of pace, he can win second balls, infact for the Luke Shaw goal he was found wanting, Shaw outwitted him in midfield to breeze into City's half. Where ever whoscored or whatever statistics site come up with their metric i dont know. Everyone who watch the game saw Clearly that KDB was off colour, i dont need whoscored to tell me that.
You can't be using stats to defend Bruno all season and then abandon those stats when they don't favor you.

He was off color yet he created more goal scoring chances than the entire Man Utd squad put together. He was poor with his passing yet he had a higher passing accuracy than Bruno.

I am not saying he was perfect but this is the first time i am hearing that an AM with 8 key passes and almost 80% passing accuracy was terrible in a game. Bruno had 78% passing accuracy with 1 key pass for comparison.

And you still have not explained how Maguire easily dealt with KDB's 8 key passes.

All of us saw the way he was delivering wayward passes to no man's land, losing possession in dangerous areas.

His team is losing from the first minutes. He is the attcking midfielder, his team had the ball most of the match, what do you expect? Mind you half of those key passes were aimless crosses into the box that was easily dealt with by maguire. All credible football tabloids stated that KDB was poor and many City fans were even calling for him to be dropped to regain form. So I didn't just make the point on my own.
How can you saying the key passes were aimless crosses into the box that were dealt with by Maguire? Obviously you don't know what a key pass is.

Wetin concern Maguire or any other CB with key pass? A key pass is the final pass that leads to a shot on goal without the recipient scoring. Maguire could not have dealt with it if the recipients of the key passes all had attempts on our goal.

In terms of rating Whoscored which is more reliable than your tabloids gave him the 2nd highest rating for Man City after Rodri. KDB was not as bad as you are painting him. This is pure emotion from you.

Losing 6 consecutive home matches is worse than losing by 6/7 goals in a Match oo
They are without their 3 senior CBs though. It is not like VVD is the only person missing. Their record won't be as bad as this with Matip and Gomez fit.

Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams were not even that highly rated at reserve level and Kabak is inexperienced and coming from Schalke whose defense is one of the worst seen in recent Bundesliga history.

VVD got injured in mid-October. By mid-November Liverpool were still on top of the league then Joe Gomez got injured leaving Matip and Fabinho. Yet by mid-December Liverpool were still on top of the league A FULL 2 MONTHS after VVD's injury.

It was only after Matip joined Gomez and VVD in hospital late in December leaving Fabinho alone to partner midfielders and substandard youth players that Liverpool slid off the top and they have kept sliding since.
