Making a sub that comes in and scores within minutes is different from just making anyhow sub. He could’ve brought on Matic - I was expecting him to yank off either of Fred or McTom, but he didn’t. And Pogba came in basically to play Rashfoed’s role.

Again today. He brought in Pogba. Same effect. Instant impact.

I think Henderson is a better fit for the way we want to play than David de Gea.

DDG may be the better keeper (currently) but Dean's box command and aerial prowess is a much better fit for the premier league where you have brutes like Wood and Vokes to contend with on matchdays.

Unless we're ready to put everyone on same or similar salary. Martial can't be collecting that amount and others will be doing the work. It's only a matter of time before they start to protest

I just tire, tomorrow they'll be complaining of lack of depth...The only downside is the amount of money Martial earns and that's why I want our players to be put on modest wages but if they must earn as high as top players elsewhere, they've got to earn the pay.

in my own opinion, Fred should have more passes the mctominay, not because he hides from difficult passes as u say, but because the holding midfielder has just one or no player pressing him in the game.
The opposing midfielders are busy closing all channels to Bruno, it is the function of the CM to keep constant movement to at least free up space for Bruno, that allows Fred to almost always be on the ball and make more passes.
The most passes per game for man city is Rodri, same as Chelsea Jorginho. It's no surprise Fred has the higher volume of passes, if you think am lying, switch both of them with Matic and Pogba and you will find the same thing; Matic with the higher volume

I don't see many teams out there if they even exist at all who don't have this same set up. Even the Partey/Ndidi don't sit alone without a second midfielder that must drop back to assist in the defensive duties.

I’m not asking him to worship anybody. But pointing towards the guy who has been tirelessly trying to assist you all game after you got a second goal (to make it 3-0), or some other form of recog, will increase your standing in the team.

The team should be above every individual player. Did you see how Jamie was happy he got the goals? The last goal, an own goal, was another effort at an assist from J. Vardy.

Looking at EPL site, I see a difference of 300+ passes.

Scoring goals does not make up for anything if we claim they both have defensive duties of a CDM and our defense still find it difficult to handle some basic pressure or beat the press. Maybe Tom isn't on defensive duties as we think since his goals is what we have to point to every time

The gap is just too much. Almost 30 passes more. Even Bruno had more than him

To beat the press and pass from back, the team needs as many players as possible coming deep to receive the ball. Probably why we are struggling with that
