By this time it should be clear that the problems are legion. Hopefully people here won't start witch hunting a single player like they used to witch hunt Rooney. Pogba is one of the problems but he can also be one of the solutions. Whether he is the former or the latter depends on the main problem.....Jose Mourinho. Zlatan is another major problem. If i am to list our problems in order of importance i would go with Mourinho, Zlatan and then Pogba.
But i still support the manager. If he can see the error of his ways and retrace his steps this season is not yet lost.

He does not seem to be the solution either. 100M spent on another helpless and hapless victim is a waste of money.

All these stem from a misguided off season where the management went after an over rated midfielder that we didn't need for a world record fee.
Like i said some weeks ago, Mourinho has to decide whether his loyalty is to Zlatan or to himself. If he does not make the obvious and necessary changes he will be performing career suicide.

I dunno if someone has responded to u yet but i can tell u abt Australia. there are 3 pathways with which u can get in the system: specialist, competent and standard pathway. specialist pathway is for consultants. dunno much abt it. competent pathway means that u are exempted from the AMC exam (mcq 2720 aus. dollars) and clinical (3150 aus. dollars. This is only for graduates of countries like U.S, newzealand, canada, UK...can't remember the rest. but another way u can go in thru this competent pathway is if u have worked for one yr in U.K i.e FY2, no matter the country u graduated from. Standard pathway means that u will have to write the exam. the only difference is that if u pass the mcq, u can start working before u do the clinicals. But the truth is getting a job there is VERYY DIFFICULT if u are coming in thru the standard pathway becos u are competing with people from competent pathway! I have a friend who has passed the mcq since 2014 but still no job. people these days prefer to do plab, work one yr in the U.k, get a job in australia and make the necessary moves there. The pay there is better, working hours more flexible.
Well said. It is difficult to get a job through the Standard Pathway (especially if you don't have the right connections). The best thing like you said if one really wants to work in Australia is to work in the U.K for a year and afterwards come into Aus via the Competent Pathway if still interested.
Pay potential is better IMO, racism is less obvious, and the weather is much better BUT it is FAR from home.

Kante actually switches the role with Matic.

They seem to work seamlessly. smiley
The point made was that no matter how good Lord Kante has been playing as a DM his skill set tells us that he would be even better as a B2B. Playing Kante just as a DM is a waste of resources and limits him on the field of play.

Hehehe. . . . nice one. Once you win, the rest na story.

I also wanted Kante as B2B and Matic sitting, and he's done just that.

Only thing I would recommend in addition is to recall Kenedy and Ake from loan. Kenedy to provide depth at LWB and Ake to provide depth at CM, LWB and LCB.

Oh. . . and tear up Mikels contract! grin
So Conte is now playing Kante as B2B? I remember when we said Kante's qualities were better utilized as just that rather than as a holding midfielder.

I saw it in the news today and couldnt stop laughing. German Goalkeepers are naturally mad anyway. Ollie Kahn and Jens Lehmann would have been naturals in the WWE.

Oh what I wouldn't give for a Kahn, Lehmann, Schumacher hell-in-a-cell match...
Funnily enough though i suspect Kahn is the strongest of the 3 i think he would lose. Lehman and Schumacher were all kinds of crazy.

He might not have the talent of the others but he is more intelligent than Depay, gives the team more balance and is a better team player.
If Martial is injured and Mikki is still not fit i will play Lingard ahead of Depay or Young.

Sunderland has made the worst start after 10 matches in the HISTORY of the EPL.
Moyes took champions and made them worse, he took relegation battlers and made them worse. He is suitable only for mid-table average teams, indeed he is the poster child for mediocrity.

He is crap in FIFA 17 though.

His balance stats are low enough to effectively render his strength attributes almost worthless. Any lightweight clown can bodycheck Pogba in game, and true to life, he would keel over like Bambi on ice.

The bolded is what is my problem with having a midfield three of Yaya, Pogba and Herrera. You expect Herrera to shoulder the burden of the midfield defense and protection of the back four alone, while those two dogonyaros walk around the field lazily, refusing to help out in defense?

We all know Yaya Toure and Pogba are lazy players defensively and with egos, and that's not what we need right now. We're still trying to fit in Pogba and you're suggesting Yaya Toure?

Nigga, please.

talking about Schneiderlin what do you tho is the problem? I used to swear down he's a Mourinho type of player. I haven't seen a game where he featured this season but I'm really wondering if he's really that bad.
Schneiderlin is not that terrible a player, just that he lacks discipline. Not tactical discipline as such but knowing when to tackle and when to shield, when to slide in and went to hold off. Then also he is way too limited in his passing.
Having said all that i would have him ahead of Fellaini in the team. Herrera has impressed of late but he is not the long term solution.

When we said Pogba for 100m was wasteful people did not understand. Imagine spending 100m on midfield and the midfield is still our problem.

WHat do you think of this

"He's a top player and I think he could be a phenomenal central defender," Mourinho told Sky Sports. "With the quality of his pass, with his aerial game, with his agility in such a big body, for his defensive side of the game, coming from the back with the ball, he would be a phenomenal central defender, too."

http://www.squawka.com/news/paul-pogba-could-play-at-centre-back-says-jose-mourinho/809249
The question has never been Pogba's skill set but his application and mentality. Pogba would be a great PS4 player cos if u listed Pogba's talents in a vacuum it would be quite impressive i.e height, body balance, shot power e.t.c The boy is lazy and after spending years in the citadel of tactics serie A he is still tactically naive. Xavi, Pirlo, Scholes et al should sit down together and write a book and teach some of these rudderless midfielders.

But wait o , is Mourinho saying he thinks Pogba would be the first 100m defender? lol
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 12:48pm On Oct 26, 2016
Yaya Toure would be another waste of money and space. There are too many old or slow or just purely lazy players in the team already, there is no need adding another one who is old, slow AND lazy.
If you want Pogba to succeed you need him to play with midfielders who work hard with and without the ball and play in midfield orchestrating play.
Yaya Toure is none of these at this stage in his career and so is not what we need. Matuidi in January would make more sense and give us better balance than Toure, Strootman if he maintains fitness also makes more sense in terms of balance and being an upgrade on Fellaini and Schneiderlin( who is obviously out of favour).
Then next season we buy actual midfielders who love to make interceptions, pass the ball and run the game e.g Kroos, Verrati, Alcantara
But knowing JM and his ultradefensive mindset i suspect this is not happening.

However the major problem right now is not the quality of the players but the mindset of the manager.
Playing Fellaini repeatedly in big games shows JM currently has a problem with his faculties.
Completely sidelining potential solutions like Carrick, Schneiderlin and even Schweinsteiger while giving us this Fellaini rubbish is inexplicable.
Parking the bus against Liverpool and turning our best young finisher Rashford into a wingback was disgraceful and made even more disgraceful by fans applauding his "tactics".

If the only way he can avoid 4-0 defeats against big teams is to park the bus MAYBE he is not the right man for the job, just saying.
