Nihilist: I think the lack of a left back in that team is a problem.
Bale and Henry would keep getting on each others way as the both like to drive into central positions from out wide.
I would play 442 with zidane left, Bale right, and Essien at Left back. Zidane at left midfield drifting into the midfield, Essien a right footer playing at left back also cutting inside? There would be no real width on the left, it wouldn't work that way. |

patrickmuf: Tahith Chong is the player I'm most optimistic about in our youth set up... There was a lot of hype about him coming over from Holland. He looks good and has the advantage with his height and speed that will possibly become more of an advantage as he gets older and bigger. This is in contrast to someone like DJ Buffonge who is smallish and already looks like he has maxed out his height. However it is just too early to know which of them will make good on the talent. Which of them comes from a dysfunctional background like Ravel Morrsion, or which one has an almost neurotic desire for success like Ronaldo......we just don't know. |

PietroRico: There is a lot of noise about our current u18 set up. Does anyone have actual insight on them? Should the noise be taken seriously?
Cc afrodoc2 kagawa10(cant remember your current moniker) One should not take noise about an under18 set up too seriously because not all of those players will progress as expected and also frustratingly it is difficult to predict which of them will progress. e.g Lingard and Michael Keane were probably 2 of the least talented of their group but apart from Pogba they are the ones making news professionally. Having said that Gomes, Buffonge, Tahith Chong and Boonen look quite talented. Buffonge and Gomes are quite quick and tricky though small sized and Boonen while not athletically gifted appears the most intelligent of the lot. Very early days though, you never know if you are watching the next Ravel Morrison or the next Ryan Giggs. |

A40: Its a little worse these days because the ojoro is so brazen and in your face. Three judges all scored the fight the exact same 114-113. I'm not sure I've seen anybody that gave that fight to Ward in the entire webspace.
When you watch am you go see I just watched it. Not as obvious a robbery as you said, so many close rounds. Kovalev won early rounds and Ward won the 2nd half of the fight.....maybe edge to Kovalev but you can't bet against the Son of God ! OK let me confess Kovalev edged it maybe 7 rounds to 5, plus the knockdown, plus being champion he should have had the decision go in his favor. Ward is no light heavy weight, he didn't even have real knockout power at supper middle weight. He needs to fight one more regular super middle weight guy maybe middle of next year then go down in weight and fight the winner of GGG vs Canelo.....but these promoters won't give the people what they want. |

I also heard it was robbery . i wanted Ward to win but fairly though. With the fact that Kovalev was the naturally bigger man and with Ward's inactivity for the last couple of years it was always going to be tough for Ward. You have to remember Kovalev knocks light heavy weights out for fun and has actually KILLED a man in the ring. |

raumdeuter: Roque Santa cruz is a player about to retire from football
He would be retiring from international football soon. This player would be remembered for scoring an average of 5 Bundesliga goals per season. His first season in premier league 19 goals
A player who scored 31 goals in 8seasons in the Bundesliga scored 19 goals in his first season of EPL
He would be wondering why he didnt discover the EPL quicker a league where a joke like SantaCruz can score 19 goals should be sent to LAWMA for proper disposal U got me there, he scored 31 goals in 155 burndisliga matches for an average of 0.2 goals per game and he scored 26 goals in 86 league goals in EPL for an average of 0.3 goals per game. But how many own goals must Anthony "2 left legs" Modeste score in order to match his EPL record of 0.0000 goals per game. The same Modeste who has scored 11 goals in only 9 matches this season. That league that should be flushed down one of Otunba Gadaffi's toilets is making Modeste look like C.ronaldo.....o ma se o |

That EPL na yeye league a league where Berbatov was top scorer Berbatov was top scorer in EPL we no go hear word. In the last 10 years in the Gbongbolosliga Alexander Meier, Stefan Kiesling, Edin Dzeko, and Grafite have been top scorers. Injuries didn't let him reach his potential at the other clubs.
I doubt people even know Ziege played for Bayern without the help of google. Overall he played better for country than club IMO Middlesborough player of the season? Wow what an achievement. He powered them to a bottom half finish. He was not a Bundesliga reject that dominated in the EPL, correct your junior broda dasall. And neither was Berbatov or Ballack a reject. Now if we are talking about people who came, saw and were conquered in the EPL Anthony Modeste and Claudio Pizarro will make the list. Pizarro a laughing stock among many Chelsea fans is the 5th highest goal scorer in the history of the Bonedisliga |

We all want the best for the club, we just have different views of how this can be achieved.
Personally i believe Mourinho could have done better this season especially with the expenditure and the players we have. However we have to support him as manager and see how things pan out. Sacking him now or even at the end of the season is unlikely to solve the problem UNLESS it is a 60yr old SAF who is getting the job next. |

Ziege struggled at Milan yet there was one maga in the EPL willing to pay for him, Everyone knew 998-2004 were the low level of German football just like Brazil since 2010 where failed footballers like Fred Jo and Hulk were wearing famous shirts
The truth is EPL is retirement ground for footballers when they come to collect maga money

I don't want to pile it on our dabbing player but his limitations which some of us knew about are just coming to the fore now. Pogba does not have the positional discipline or composure of a carrick or busquets to play the holding role He does not have trickery or inventiveness of mata, ozil, Silva or iniesta to play the 10 He lacks the work rate, team ethic and stamina of a Vidal or Essien to be truly box 2 box. Pogba is like Orogbo, what is his benefit? |
