Dadehmola: Per adventure Ronnie decides to leave Madrid today. If you were to replace Him with a winger who would it be? Oh it could be Hazard, although i heard Real are sniffing around Sterling. I agree no one looks likely to replace Ronaldo or Messi like for like cos what they are both doing is unheard off in the modern era. I just meant Hazard is not top 10 in the world right now. |

Dadehmola: Lool.
You are funny oo. Do you think the world will see players like Ronaldo or messi in the next 5 years atleast? The replacement of such players can never be like-for-like nau. I mentioned hazard because he is good enough to play for a team like Real Madrid .
If I may ask, your list of top five wingers in world football today - what does it look like? LOL. The last time people were scoring like those two football was played with brown balls. The last player i can recall that scored goals at such a rate was Gerd Muller and he retired before most of us here were born.........apart from alagba Elampiro |

coogar: no chelsea fan can even argue it that di maria dey top 10. i even forgot cesc, aguero, zlatan, vidal, and another dozen players somewhere.
hazard won't get into top 30.
jokes! when hazard wins a golden boot in a world cup with an average side like columbia, you should submit hazard's name then. Reus definitely.....and possibly the other 2. Lahm most definitely. if u add goal keepers then Neuer will be there. Hazard has lots of potential but he is at present a top 30 player at best. He has to improve his overall play especially in midfield and depend less on running 1 v 1 situations |

coogar: who? hazard? he won't even be in the top 10 in europe. was this not the same hazard that looked outta sorts during the world cup? the potential is there but that's where it ends. Fabregas and Costa in his team. Di Maria at United Silva and Aguero at City Neymar,Messi and Suarez at Barca......and Iniesta Bale,Ronaldo and James Rodriguez at Real Zlatan Robben Ribery Vidal. Hazard is not in the top 10 or top 15, might sneak into top 20....... |

elampiro: Lol. He is actually BinghiNya's man. I like him but I have no favourite among Val, Nani and Young. Some how, I think Young is a bit the odd man out because he has not done even half of what Val or Nani has done for us. In my opinion. I only was coming to defend Val when I felt he was unjustly the scapegoat.
I suggested we used Val in the midfield but someone (I think Dadehmola shouted me down) and Starboard was applauding him. Then Afrodoc also picked Val afterwards before Coogar surprisingly selected him too.
Let's hope we keep getting results and get a stable back four most importantly. Actually anyone who watches Ecuador would not have been surprised with his performance today. Both Valencia and Young can do a decent job if the are not playing as WINGERS OR WING FORWARDS. My problem with them is when the play up front and have to beat full backs and whip in accurate crosses......that is when they become clueless. The problem is many fans here because of their personal animosity towards certain players do not want those players to succeed no matter what. For me i want Anderson and Young to prove me wrong.....as long as they are wearing United jerseys i will root for them. |

Dadehmola: ......Rooney/Rvp...falcao
........Herrera.......

Honestly, I won't mind this setup especially away against the top sides It is a more solid line-up defensively so it could work against the big teams. But long term i believe we need an upgrade on Blind |

chrisley024: Pls don't even go near Herrera. He should take that hole position. With his tackling our defending will become better. Another good option. We have options in midfield, we just lack that world class talent in central/defensive midfield to truly boss proceedings |

StarBoard: I think youre going in hard on Carrick and to me there's no need for that. Carrick has been instrumental in our recent success. We started winning league titles and getting far in Eurooe with him in our midfield. you once praised him for being intelligent enough to not be throwing himself into tackles like other midfielders. it's actually strange that you eoukd criticize him that way. Let's talk selection/tactics. With the way Valencia went about his midfield duty today, it would appear as if injured Herrera might not get back into the starting side if Valencia replicates this performance. how would you go about selection snd formation sfter seeing his performance today? by the way Valencia iş still a donkey despite his good performance today. His needless tackle on Lukaku led to Everton's equalizer even if his departure led to a huge hole in our middle. LVG can switch Herrera to the left side of the diamond and retain Valencia on the right side of the diamond. This frees Di Maria to play behind the 2 strikers. Just an option if Mata/Rooney are not available OR if Van Gaal needs more energy in midfield. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 2:29pm On Oct 05, 2014 |
StarBoard: Mata didn't have the best of games but he did claim a perfect assist. He wasnt spectacular. I think him being deployed in a 4-2-3-1 and partnered with two other pacy players behind the main striker will being out the best in him akin to how he was deployed in the Benitez and AVB eras. Problem is thst its not likely to happen with LvG. Actually what he needs are 2 physical and dynamic players BEHIND HIM in the 4-2-3-1 formation you mentioned. This is because he is too lazy when we do not have the ball and is basically a short one. Also he is not pacy enough to beat markers,he cant shrug off physical challenges.....all meaning he over-depends on the pass since the run or the dribble are both beyond him. |
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) › Re: Official Manchester United Fan Thread:''20 Times EPL Champion by afrodoc2: 2:19pm On Oct 05, 2014 |
Blind is very good when we have the ball but close to useless when we do not have it. He is intelligent and has good technique but he lacks both PACE AND PAWA. Man City and Chelsea have Fernando and Matic playing that position for a reason. |

Dadehmola: We should be looking to sign Isco next season jare!! Like the commentator said.. With Mata's performance today, Rooney won't look worried! LOL. U peeps will soon realise why Rooney has appeared undroppable. Mata is one player i do not rate as highly as others do because of his utter lack of physicality. No player will sit and watch you showcase all your skills without roughing you up, Mata has to borrow a leaf from Silva's book |

RuuDie: Here is where the bench have to help... Instruct 'em as game progresses.
I feel you... Its not like he 'damned' welbeck; but IMO he was fairly correct in his assessment. Fair enough. Let us see what happens with him at Arsenal, i wish him well. I remember very well that in the 90s people used to criticize Andy Cole to for missing too many chances.........he only ended up being the EPL's 2nd top scorer all-time. I am not saying Danny is going to be Andy Cole but his poor goals to games ratio is misleading because he has been played most times in midfield and the wings. Also despite the perception here and in other places his chance conversion rate was better than most of the top strikers in the EPL over the last couple of seasons. |
