Yes but he has said himself that he would prefer not to play 2 left footed players in central defence.
Man Utd has never had this number of left footers it is unusual. We can field 8 lefties this weekend comfortably

Van Gaal is enamored with balance. He wont want 4 lefties at the same time playing in midfield.
Ando to replace Di Maria, Adnan to replace Mata and Valencia to replace someone on the right side i.e Rafael or Fletcher......but do not be surprised if Perreira gets minutes

I like Perreira very much but i think things are not stable enough to introduce yet another teenager into the set up.
With Herrera out i believe the next options should be Valencia,Fletcher and Perreira in that order. I want a right footed player on the right side of that diamond that is why i rule out Anderson for that particular position.

What i and others have said is that Rooney's tackle betrayed his lack of control and intelligence. They were several ways to stop that counter without risking a red card, but Rooney choose the most idi.otic option..............That is what i am saying.
This is compounded by the fact that as captain he should show better leadership and judgement especially now that we are short of about 10 senior players

We need to offload RVP,Mata and Rooney as soon as possible.
Start with Mata maybe in January and those 2 hyenas at the end of the season. Build our team going forward on Di Maria,Adnan and younger,more athletic and agile strikers to come in.

Then we can't afford to have sicklers in defense week in,week out. We need to offload at least 2 out of Evans,Jones and Smalling and get 2 solid CBs in who can stay fit for long periods.

Then we have to pension Fletch off, he has been a faithful servant. Blind,Herrera and 2 more physical and combative midfielders are needed.
No more weakling no 10s like Kagawa and Mata EPL is not for their type.
