I took heavy loss in March on the US stock and now trying to recover. The loss was part of initial gain thou. We shall return to the US stock platform in due course. Hope Biden infrastructure speech will help us stabilize the market.

The market shake everybody. I just adjusted to add some infrastuture stocks b4 Biden's announcement. I beleive there are better days ahead. Biden's bill may not be approved soon because republicans have already voiced their opposition. However, na rising interest rates be the koko. Provided it keeps rising tech stocks would be selling off.But once it gets to 2% and the Fed steps in, hopefully everyine would be smiling.

Guys let me share my small story about crypto.

First, let us forget about years past and how one could not properly invest or manage BTC as of then.

In the new era, I joined Binance in Nov. 2020.

I deposited NGN 50,000 on 22/11/2020. Bought: BTC, BNB

On the 20/12/2020 I deposited another N100,000 on Binance. Bought: BTC, ETH.

On the 06/1/2021 I deposited another N100,000 on Binance. Bought: ETH, BUSD.

In total I invested N250,000.

BTC Price at my first purchase: 22/11/2020 => 18,688.97 (Highest for the day)
BTC Price at my second purchase: 20/12/2020 => 23,147.17 (Highest for the day)
BTC Price at my third purchase: 06/01/2021 => 33,514.04 (Highest for the day)

I sold all today at $60,000/BTC. do the maths. In anticipation to reload in the coming pull-back.


BNB Price at my first purchase: 22/11/2020 => 31.07 (Highest for the day)
BNB Price at my second purchase: 20/12/2020 => 35.54 (Highest for the day)
BNB Price at my third purchase: 06/01/2021 => 42.19 (Highest for the day)

I sold all today at $356/BNB.

ETH Price at my First purchase: 20/12/2020 => 659.92 (Highest for the day)
ETH Price at my second purchase: 06/01/2021 => 1,209.43 (Highest for the day)

ETH as of the post is $2,008.752. Not selling yet as the rally just begin... to the moon at $3,000+


I believe I could have made more money assuming am trading like the expats here. I also regretted not putting huge amount. Anyway, I only put in the amount I can afford to lose.

Having come this far, I know better.

Guys, am here now to learn the trading path for better returns and to increase my small TKH.

This na common sense though. Anyone that bought USD few months ago and did nothing, is already on 22% profits now if they exchange back to naira

At this rate, it would be better to just lock your money in dollar bond fund cos even a TB rate @ 15% would not make sense

For a bank like Stanbic that has very few branches and even when you enter the banking hall, you see few customers, this is really impressive.

I tbink they make more money from asset managment and investment banking. I may be wrong though

Likewise the entry barrier for a club is capital intensive. Thats why most footballers don't own clubs.

Footballers are employees of the clubs they sign the contracts with. Similar to a regular employee that signs a contract with his employer.

Thats why i outlined their achievements. They also play the same position. Using your line of argument, i guess a filling station should pay a pump attendant who adds value more money than other attendants right?

Sergio Ramos and Varane are teammates at Real Madrid. They are both central defenders. They are both World cup winners. They are both multiple champions league winners. Yet Sergio ramos earns twice as much as Varane. Why didnt they peg their salaries to their positions as you see corporations do? Can a bank pay two tellers doing the same job different diffrent salaries?

Financial literacy, financial independence, diversification and multiple streams of income is what we should be preaching and not which is better betweens paid employment or self employment

If the entry barrier for owning football clubs was low, i'm very sure footballers would own clubs. Musicians form their own lables. Actors direct their movies. Why didnt they stay with the label or production outfit that signed them even after they amassed wealth?

A footballer negotiates how much you would pay him and the period of years he would play. He even add clauses and can request for transfer if he wants to leave. If he is a free agent he pockets all transfer fees for himself. This is aside other endorsements. Does that look like the workings of an employee?

Ronaldo makes almost a $1m per tweet. He has hotels and investments. Gerrad Pique has a football club in 3rd division.

Unless it is passion or you dont know what to do with your time, there is no reason why you should be working for salary when you have N8bn worth of shares. Time is money. When you have money use it to buy yourself time.

Oga stop been an alarmist.

Nasdaq has finished the 4 out of the last 5 months in positive. S&P is very close to a new all time high. Dow had its best month since November. Yesterday was the end of a quarter, PMs are adjusting portfolios. Besides a major policy announcement was about to take place.

If indexes are touching all-time highs it is normal to see a retreat. When PMs are adjusting portfolios, you can exoect some selling. The same thing too with when a major policy is to be announced by govt.

Inflation rate would continue rise that's for sure. That would trigger more sell-off. But eventually the Fed would have to step in (at 2% according to Powell) and stocks would rally again.

The biggest issue still remains rising inflation rates. Not the mistake of one family office that overleveraged on its debts. Morgan stanley, Goldman and Deutshe Bank did not make losses on the margin calls

the market is not yet matured enough. look at the volume of trades in NSE alone. Not to talk of people trading on inside information.

Even other imvestment vehicles such as ETFs are illiquid. This is in addition to the financial illiteracy. Less than 500k people operating TBs yet 171bn was lost to MBA forex.

How would they fare with something as complex as derivatives. But if i get bar, na one finance investment vehicle i go like to sell to Nigerians. So much money to be made.

Nothing big is happening. Its an isolated event which normally occures. The difference this time is the magnitude of funds involved ($20bn)
