Facebook bought WhatsApp almost a decade now, and they have intentionally made zero dollar from it. If they start putting ads in WhatsApp next year, they will be on their way to making money from it. If they don't, they already have WhatsApp in the bag as portfolio.

Are you sure they intentionally dont what to monetize it, or they have not figured how? Just like Twitter that hasn't figured how to monetize its space very well. Or even Google with Youtube. I believe they are using whatsapp to harvest loads of data which they would sell. The amount of data on whatsapp is too juicy to look away from.

Honestly, for now no. But what's stopping them from improving? Look at what FB did with Reels when compared to TikTok. Even Slack acknowledged Microsoft as a competitor.

Microsoft purchased GitHub and then made it free. This na GitHub wey don they generate revenue tey tey. It might be a way for Microsoft to entice devs to develop more on the Windows platform but certainly not for any profit in the next 20 years.

More users on microsoft platform, more revenue. The same way Microsoft made their Microsoft Teams free to crush competition from Slack. But if you look at it in hindisght, by making Teams free, you actually draw more users to Office Suite

The link is though you are an employee it is always good to have investing/entrepreneurship acumen. A good percentage of Shell workers could not maintain their living standard within 2-5 years after collecting pay off because they did not develop these skills when working. The priviledges they enjoyed while working did not allow them plan for life after work. Many took consultancy jobs to survive. Only very few opened service companies after they left.

Btw, banking work is not the only job in the world. When i did my industrial attachment in Shell some years ago, working hours was 7:30am to 4:30pm.

Three scenarios now are
1. Does it bounce off it??
2. Does price wick below (to takeout liquidity) but come back to close the daily above it??
3. Does the daily price close below..

Scenario 1 and 2 are fine... Scenario 3 no go good oo.. will be watching for the daily close

The 2nd is the 4hr chart.. gives an idea of where liquidity zones are (mostly stop losses). As we know, price usually seeks liquidity in a ranging market..The closest liquidity zone is labelled 1 and is at 56.4k... If price goes below it and doesn't bounce quick then its very likely we'd continue to 2 and 3 at least..


My bias; Overall, the fundamentals of the market are still bullish. I think this should be the final retest of the 21d ema, if it holds for today and tomorrow, then price will go for 60k and I doubt it'd still hold as resistance again.. Eitherway, decision time is close.

I still think it would trend sideways for a lot longer. 6-day RSI is trading below 14 and 24 day RSI. 14 day is already below 24 day range. (Used one week chart)

Declining trading volume in the last 4-5 weeks.

Plus the bullish thesis and approval from JP morgan and Goldman, ans the adoption by paypal and Visa could not push it well above the 60k mark.
