Katsina state governor has shed more light on the reason why the north was united against the candidacy of former President Goodluck Jonathan in the 2015 Presidential elections.
Masari, a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, said that northern Nigeria would have been in misery had Jonathan won the 2015 presidential election.
He further described the situation the north found itself as precarious in which the region fall short in every aspect of human development.
Governor Masari disclosed this at the 33rd annual symposium in memory of late Malam Aminu Kano held at the Centre for Democratic Research and Training, AKCDRT, Mambayya House, Kano.
According to him, the emergence of President Muhammadu Buhari has brought a glimmer of hope to the north and anticipation of the return of socio-economic prosperity.
They have been fears that Jonathan was going to implement the report of the National Political Conference with far-reaching implications for the existing skewed federal system if he had won re-election.
Meanwhile, northern elders under the umbrella of Northern Elders Forum, NEF, has written to President Muhammadu Buhari, alleging that the region has been shortchanged through the instrumentality of the 2016 Budget, which it said lacked equity.
The northern elders in the letter claimed that that the North was being marginalised under the current government, stressing that Buhari needed to allocate massive projects to the North in the next three years to ensure that the economy of the area is enhanced.

But to an average Southern idiot, Jonathan's 5 year rule is the reason we have no fuel, no light, no good educational system, no nothing! Jonathan is the worst thief in Nigeria history. IBB, Abdulsalam and even Buhari who was accused of stealing billions of dollars as PTF boss were all saints. Why? Because they are Northerners.
Was it not a southern he goat named Obasanjo who publicly accused Jonathan of training snipers in Pyongyang (North Korea) ahead of last year's election?? He made the unfounded allegation just to please his masters upnorth. Now that we have the highest figure of senseless death of civilian in the hands of both state and non state actors under a Northern president Buhari, have you read any letter from the daughter-in-law fucking pastor OBJ??

Now I know why Jonathan appeared weak as president and spent his 5 year term trying to please the North.

I don't have any trauma... We are all suffering the outcome of the change in government...If anyone should have trauma, it should be the supporters of Buhari if they are really sincere with themselves. I don't expect them to acknowledge their frustration in public though. I am like a spectator in a match where my team have nothing to prove. The burden is on your team and like I always said, I want Buhari to succeed. Reason is we are all living in this country.

The only benefit I get from this situation is getting to exchange at a beautiful rate, and that will only be useful if Buhari will make the dollar=one naira within the next 9 months( 18 months after his election)
