That is about 60 helicopters in NAF on SIPRI alone for purchases from year 2000 to 2013 only. I did not add 6 units new Mi-35M Hind E, squadron of Bell Rangers, squadron of R66 Robinsons, and the 40 new helicopters from USA/Russia arriving this month.

Nigerian air force (Not counting Navy helicpoters one squadron, not counting any NAF reserves two squadrons) will have about 120 helicopters rocking the skies....Biggest force in Sub-Saharan Africa !

kikuyu1: You sound like these Russians discussing our Havocs!
http://www.russiadefence.net/t2593-16-mi-28n-for-kenya
Its very easy, too easy to talk isht on the net. What will you do when photos are provided?
Take it easy. I spent an hour finding Kenyan Mi-28 Havoc attack helicopter, SIPRI does not report such a big deal of very lethal weapon. I looked for photos and found none except the ones with stationary rotor blades in flight, the Kenyan Air Force roundel looks photo shopped on the helos.

Can you post a Kenyan government source of this helicopter or a photo of the helos with Kenyan air force?

The deal looks like a red herring, need to clear it's genuineness.

MikeZA: 1. The Badger IFV has been delivered to the army for testing,if we at war it would be sent to front lines.
One Badger IFV ? Whom do you want to fight with that? Armed robbers on the streets ? grin

MikeZA: The Hawk LIFT and Gripen are/will be able to receive information from the ESR 220 Thultwa mobile radar and ISTAR component from project cytoon. This enhances the effectiveness of stand-off munitions like missiles and smart bombs.

And it will be the case with Skyshield radar and the newer experimental missile guidance radar for the Umkhonto. Under phase two of the GBADS project.
South Africa has NO air or land based stand off munitions like missiles and smart bombs.

All your missiles and smart bombs have maximum range 20 km and that is NOT stand-off or beyond visual range. Stop lying dude !

Henry120: We ordered 6 of them.

Let these south-africans show us news sources outside beegeagle's blog that have reported this deliveries.

Not SIPRI, not IHS janes, not one of them.

How many of them reported the deliveries of hundreds of MRAPs and Streit MK3's...... Again, not one of them.

Infact, Defence IQ's armoured vehicle's conference had to quote beegeagle.

Thiza: @AUGUSTUS ATLEAST THESE SANDF PHOTOS HAVE PROVOKED DISCUSSION REGARDING UNIFORM OR CAMOFLAGE WITHIN NIGERIAN MILITARY
MikeZA: Lmaoooooooooooooo cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy grin wink grin grin grin.

Looks like your army only considers camouflage when introducing new uniforms. But whatever that's typical of a rebel force to do. No studies whatsoever.
Nope and no ! New uniforms for Nigerian army was not provoked by any SANDF photomania, NA has different reason for changing uniform and may not tell you everything every reason why.

Nigerian army high command reads Beegeagles Blog, and we the approved members of Beegeagle compared Nigerian army uniforms with those of USA/NATO militaries that we train with....not your fvcking South African uniform that will expose your army to the enemy's easy view in a sandy desert like Sahara or Arabia.

SANDF uniform is bad outside your homeland territory, it will expose your position in an all-green swamp or rain forest and in a white sand desert....the whole South African army will get wiped out if you land from sea to white Sand beach....the enemy will see all of you from 3 km away looking like brown skin goats running around in brown uniforms that you think is a camouflage for all types of terrain... Mumus grin

patches689: Are you intentionally misunderstanding me?

I know you have it.

But show me where it says Nigerias has the specifications in the article.

South Africa has 4 of such planes - can we now say they all have those capabilities?
You first denied by saying we don't have it, until @iterator busted your lies by mentioning Nigerian coat of arms boldly displayed on the Beechcraft plane's tail.

South African Beechcraft is the ancient transport version that CANNOT do special mission, your own has NO radar and no data-links tongue tongue tongue

Nigerian Beechcrafts are the sophisticated new versions special mission ISR aircraft for Intelligence-Surveillance-Reconnaissance, our own has radar and data-links.

The radar dome is clearly visible underbelly of the Nigerian aircraft and I even put the labeled diagram of the aircraft there to prove everything.

If you are not satisfied with all that, you can leave this forum/thread in anger, we gain nothing from having you around....we miss @Andrewza.

Debating with @Patches is NEVER worth the waste of precious time, he is just the epitome of fraud, dishonesty, and insincerity combined together in one worthless man of zero value.

Nigeria`s ultra modern new surveillance aircraft with powerful Data-Link

Enter the secret Beechcraft King Air, sophisticated spy master of giant Nigeria

See the radar dome and data-link under the Nigerian SPECIAL MISSION aircraft

Flight range....about 5,000 km !!!

Long-range air to ground search radar with 80km range

12 hours flight non-stop

"King Airs are ideal surveillance aircraft. Each model features a large, pressurized, environmentally controlled cabin, high dash speed and extensive endurance. The King Air 350ER offers even more endurance, performing over-land surveillance with sufficient payload to operate a moving target indicator, synthetic aperture radar, EO/IR (FLIR), streaming video data-link, self-protection systems, The integrated sensor suite includes an MX-15 surveillance turret with long-range cameras and infrared to detect, track, classify and identify surface contacts. These capabilities can also be turned to limited maritime patrol, via long-range ship detection and imaging, and identification of small ocean targets in high sea states., and a wide variety of high-performance communications systems.

Imagery systems have been installed in virtually all models of the Beechcraft King Air. Today’s data link technology allows relatively simple transmission of real-time streaming video to fixed or vehicle-mounted ground receivers for timely dissemination to tactical units."

http://www.beechcraft.com/special_missions/surveillance.aspx

Notice the radar under the belly of the Nigerian aircraft....An all-weather sensor, provides photographic-quality images through clouds, rain, dust, smoke, and fog, in daylight or total darkness, detects time-sensitive targets and changes on the ground that may be undetectable by Electro-optical/Infrared (EO/IR) sensors.

Other aircraft have been received for world class surveillance capabilities by Nigeria, BUT IT IS HARD TO FIND MOST NIGERIAN EQUIPMENT AND WEAPONS ON INTERNET, we are more than what you see in photos or google, we are the armed forces of the Federal Republic Of Nigeria.

You said we have no new surveillance aircraft, I proved it now.....@Patches...you drop d.ead

MikeZA: Our military is led by people whom fought in Angola,Zimbabwe,Namibia,Tanzania,Mozambique,Lesotho. The leadership is experienced in conventional and COIN ops.

In the past 20 years Nigeria has never fought
Any full blown war.
In the past 20 years till today, Nigeria fought full blown wars against 50,000 Liberian fighters and 70,000 Sierra Leonean fighters...we deployed 20,000 soldiers in NE war today.

99% of South Africa's 30 years ago war that you NEVER won, are dead or run away to Australia.

Okay, maybe ghosts and vampires now lead your SANDF army of dead people.

Link should bring together or link the Air defence command post,"gunners" or battery commanders, command and control center, air force, ministry of defence, intergrated with civilian aviation radars, different systems(guns, missiles, radar) etc. Real time situational awareness.

And No. India didn't modernize anything.

If they did your air defence artillery unit wouldn't have had to refurbish it's twin barrel ADA guns last year.
Yes India did it, details classified. You cannot jam what you don't know technically, stop fooling yourself.

MikeZA: You think millions are just made available from nowhere?

Grinding down your equipment numbers add as an advantage to the enemy.

You're spending peanuts on defence loosing million dollar will grind down your capabilities and economy.

This logic is used by your generals whom don't care how many solduetsyr they lose during ops,all they care is meeting mission objectives. Poor command and control.
How do you know? South Africa has zero war experience in the past 20 years, your military only knows theory that is written in texbooks of modern warfare, zero practical.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 10:45pm On Jul 29, 2014
MikeZA: You wouldn't wanna be stuck with obsolete Vickers MBT when Uganda will soon be splashing more than $400 million on more than 70 T-90 tanks.

Sub-saharan countries are stuck with obsolete main battle tanks, the current ongoing campaigns shouldn't shift defence strategic planning and acquisitions.

Shifting future plans to suite COIN ops will come to sting someone in the as...... really. Cause the next war won't be COIN

Look around Nigeria right now
There are strange grey colored shiny new 4th Generation jet fighters flying around NAF base TAC Makurdi, seen several times...awaiting announcement from Nigerian air force of the new arrival. Chad is flying only 3 units of old MiG-29 jets flown by white-men mercenary pilots from Ukraine. LOL !
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 10:33pm On Jul 29, 2014
MikeZA: Your ground based units would use missiles which could millions of dollars to take down something that cost less than what that missile's worth.
Is it your daddy's money we are spending? Nigeria is an oil and gas rich country. Mind your own business.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 10:30pm On Jul 29, 2014
MikeZA: what Nigeria has ADS is advanced?

Nigeria Has twin barrel guns, old spaags MANPADS and Roland missiles plus some ineffective soviet guns.

All which aren't linked to the ADA command post and others with data links, any advanced air force can exhaust your missiles stocks and find your SAM positions by flying target drones like the Skua UAV over "protected" areas".
Nigerian ADS links to command and control with other modernization was done by India from 2012 for Nigerian army air defense corp. We have posted that source many times here since 2013.
Foreign AffairsRe: Who Has The Strongest Military In Africa? by agaugust: 10:22pm On Jul 29, 2014
MikeZA: You'll eat humble pie.

Here's what's "outside" the MRAPS. Just the peak. Nigeria has nothing at this level.
Dude I have posted similar equipment of Nigrian army both photos and SIPRI source, RASIT- ground search radars, Nigeria has them....and more than South Africa we have spy balloons confirmed again this month by Nigerian army, and Nigeria also has space spy satellites including new ones that see through clouds, means Nigeria now has radar eyes in space equipment integration.

South African army has NO spy balloons and NO spy satellites, that proves Nigeria is superior....FACT !!!

MikeZA: "Digitalised" main battle tanks hold an extreme advantage over tanks on the analog side. As it was proven in Iraq when Lion of Babylon(T-72) which are the commander had to crank a wheel to turn the turret, stood no chance against the Abrams.
Vickers Eagle MBT of both Nigeria and Kenyan armies are digitalized tanks, these are the only two countries that use Vickers Eagle of that version in this world, both countries got 1990s deliveries and had major digital upgrades confirmed with images and narrations from Beegeagle and Military Today website...it has video of the Vickers upgrades used by Nigeria and Kenya.

Both countries do NOT need new MBT now, they need COIN weapons and equipment of the best capability available at reasonable prices in the market.

Merkava main battle tanks won't stop Islamic terrorists b.ombing Kenyan shopping malls. There is a better way to spend $6 million x 40 tanks = $240 million. Kenya needs to buy Nigeria's type of new sophisticated COIN equipment.

Nigerian air force now has fresh delivery of the most sophisticated surveillance aircraft in all Africa , even Egypt is now envying us.
