patches689: Yes, because we are so heavily involved in AU deployments.

Also, those positions are political not operational

Your man will be flying a desk
Nigerian army is NOW fully in charge of OPERATIONS of the AU African force, you have shock and epilepsy already, so chew this... grin grin

Apostle1RSA: You ill-informed fellow Africans....dont ever fool yourselves into thinking that SANDF is inferior to Morocco or Nigerian Armies. Yoooo please dont come here and write jajaragh comments..... SANDF is ranked in the same league with US Army, Russia, etc......here in Africa we can whoop any one *ass* any time we feel like doing so. cheesy
Why did your South African military not whip Seleka rebels that drove your army away from their base in Bangui C.A.R.?

"What is certain, I personally, General Arda Hakouma Seleka Chief of Staff, Chief Of Operations, so I am the one who directed the battle, I saw 36 South African dead and 22 wounded. That’s for sure, and there were prisoners too, we handed them over to Fomac [The regional African peacekeeping force for CAR]," he said .

Thiza: For nearly 3 years Nairas have posted all the weapons they produces but nothing match what South Africa has and sell to the world. Stop being dilussional or memory lapses....this topic was exhausted and Naira were exposed to be a small ammunition producing, small arms producing and servicing of broken springs.....NO STORY TO WRITE ABOUT.

Here is the real and true story to write about : DESIGNED, PRODUCED, MANUFACTURED BY SOUTH AFRICA
[size=16pt]

G6 and G5 Artillery guns of South Africa were designed by Canada and Iraq.....

Now 'stolen' glory by DENEL....

South African second dullest brain CANNOT design artillery...

Glory stealing Soweto thief !

"Contrary to mythology, the G5 is not a South African design, but rather the work of one Gerald Vincent Bull (1928-1990), who based the barrel design on his earlier work for the Canadian and US governments. Input from Iraq, under the designation FF551, led to revisions of the design"

chris365: ode. combat experience in arranged photo op. @mikeza just proved that the ones with the combat experience are rolling on wheelchairs.

sandf is a photo military. that's why you will never be chosen to lead in any AU or UN combat mission. your photo army will soon be saying "yes sir" to a real military with proven modern combat experience in COIN and successful peace enforcement operations.

Nigerian general appointed as AU Standby Force Chief of Staff

Brig.-Gen. Tijjani Kangbap Golau has assumed duty as the new Chief of Staff of the African Standby
Force in the Peace Support Operations Division of the AU Commission.
The News Agency of Nigeria in Addis Ababa reports that prior to this appointment Golau was Director,
Nigerian Army Centre for Counter Terrorism and Counter Insurgency.
Golau was deployed by Defence Headquarters to represent Nigeria in continental peace support
operations at the AU Commission, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
He replaced late Gen. I. I. Hassan who died in 2007, while serving in the same capacity at the PSOD of
the AU commission.
NAN reports that the officer is expected to enhance the full operationalisation of the African Standby
Force base on recommendations of the report of Prof. Ibrahim Gambari-led technical committee.
The Gambari committee had reviewed the progress and the challenges in the effort for the
operationalisation of the force aimed to address the current regional and continental security
challenges.
The office of the Chief of Staff is expected to ensure the operationalisation of the African Standby
Force with full capability by the target of Dec. 31, 2015.
The African Standby Force was established following adoption of recommendations of the meeting of
Ministers of Defence held in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on January 20, 2004.
This was in accordance with the AU Policy Framework for peace and stability of the continent.

Bwahahaha grin grin

Now African Union has become the final judge on this forum grin grin

South African photo shooting army abandoned again by AU like UN did in Congo DRC grin grin

No world standard organization has any atom of respect of Hollywood army like SANDF grin grin

Brigadier-General Tijjani Golau of Nigerian army is now boss of African Union military force, so South African army officers and men are now under the command of a Nigerian soldier of an army that has real life combat experience of 2014, SANDF will bow down to Nigeria grin grin

Everybody wants Nigerian army to lead Africa into battle, yes will will do it, even Egypt will envy us cool cool

All world class organizations want a battle tested army that is ready to k.ill and be k.illed in combat like Nigerian army cool cool

The wise-men of planet earth want soldiers who have current year 2014 war experience and can handle a secret enemy that hides in forests like Boko Haram....like Nigerian army makes it impossible for Bokos to show their face and fight and stay, they always fight and run away across borders into Cameroon or Chad, and into secret forests. A true soldier stays to fight and win, Bokos are criminals and cowards who m.urder innocent and defenseless women and children...but Nigerian army is roasting the Bokos, UN and AU are impressed, they know SANDF will not survive a Boko Haram war, and luckily they have not been tested, but un-luckily they have not been rated too, so because they are unrated and cannot even be found on the rankings table, Nigeria becomes military boss over South Africa, we get the supreme job of leading Africa into battle from 2015 till the end of the world and kingdom come. cool cool

SANDF keep your soldiers alive, avoid war, avoid death, make more photos....your destiny is to sit down at the bottom of the ladder in current combat achievement by the judgement of international organizations grin grin

Sbura: Now would you look at that, the pot calling kettle black. I bet 100% black Nigerians discovered oil, 100% black Nigerians own all those oil and gas resources, those top companies. When it comes to slavery my friend, no African country is free. Neo-colonialists are the masters of all economies Africa has to offer. So before you call others slaves, check your country's status first. With South Africa being with Brics, means that we are Neo-colonailists to Nigeria. So, who's the slave now?

Thiza: A TRUE PROFESSIONAL ARMY NOT A RAG TAG ARMY OF HIGHLY OPINIONATED INDIVIDUALS WITHOUT A SHREWED OF EVIDENCE
When soldiers look too fine, fresh, and neat in fancy uniform, we should be asking if they are in battle field or enjoying life at home.
The best combat soldiers you ever had in South Africa was the SADF in apartheid era, and the one in real war zone look like the photo below.

New 2013 world navy/marine technology no longer used the obsolete magentron technology in your Valour frigates, the world has moved to coherent transmission technology and that means a new age of navy radar has emerged and Nigeria has arrived there already.

[citation needed]

Nigerian OPV radar has duty output of 10% while South African Valour frigate radar has duty of less than 0.05% and is a much weaker, obsolete and far inferior radar.

dont you have a country called Nigeria to be proud of?
We Nigerians are very proud of the fact that our nation is a 100% black nation built 100% black leadership.

South Africa's greatness was built by 100% Boer-White leadership of 5 million white-men apartheid wicked masters at the expense of a wasted black generation of 40 million mentally enslaved black people, most of whom will not achieve anything in their lives till they die.

See photos of those who enslaved you blacks to get a chance to build ALL the achievements you are foolishly 'proud of'....

PoliticsRe: Nigerian Army's Campaign In The North Eastern Theatre (Photos) by agaugust: 4:01am On Jul 21, 2014
In a war that is going bad and stalemated, a wise country will appoint new defence ministers that have proven real war winning experience as ex-military generals of the same generation as that war. Nigeria is putting round pegs in square holes in a war. An ex-ECOMOG army field commander that saw hell on Liberia/Sierra Leone battlefields should be defence minister and ex ECOMOG air force Alpha Jets squadron operations commander as deputy defense minister, but must be of same party as the president to avoid political sabotage.

Goodluck Jonathan is a Zoologist/Biologist, who will tell him the full detailed military technicalities of war? I don't think Nigerian military tells him everything, seems they capitalize on his weakness for their personal gain.

To defeat Boko Haram quickly in this war, I would not mind running a list of weapons for NA and NAF that we need and technical reasons why we need each of them, and also the tactics to kick Boko Haram forest bases out of Nigeria finally, just with the hope that someone in government will read and go tell our political leaders. This war can be won in about 6 months.

It's Just that I am worried that this thread is meant for photos and short short brief talks, but now the talk is more than the photos.

SiriusBlack: Noted sir...But I doubt that I have given out any classified info on army operations..The Bigfoot MRAP was first viewed by Nigerians on National TV and not even here...also we have defence blogs like Beegeagle. that also assess Military hardware and make recommendations for better equipment..all weapons specs I have given here are things you can get on Google...As for "classified" info...Nothing of that nature has been discussed here.
I have NOT read you giving out any classified information. Good job so far. Keep the flag flying.

We tolerate his ignorance and appreciate his patriotism. We all have different levels of military knowledge and so we speak differently here.

patches689: Yeah... that says nothing about how its better than the MRR-3D NG.

You also said:

So you also dont know anything about your OPV apart from what is said on the internet... because "The Chinese have NOT sent any detailed technical specifications to your personal email"

I guess you would like TV, since the TV doesnt make you look a fool... like i do cool
You are the fool dude, let me show you .....

In your country South Africa, your 15 year old technology out-dated Navy Vavour frigates have NO SINGLE solid state radar in this world, only Nigerian navy stealth OPVs have such radar in Africa, even Egypt does not have it.

The Nigerian F91 radar is called SharpEye™, the South African radar is "Dull.Eye"

New 2013 world navy/marine technology no longer used the obsolete magentron technology in your Valour frigates, the world has moved to coherent transmission technology and that means a new age of navy radar has emerged and Nigeria has arrived there already.

Nigerian OPV radar has duty output of 10% while South African Valour frigate radar has duty of less than 0.05% and is a much weaker, obsolete and far inferior radar.

The Nigerian warship will detect the smallest and fastest missile that is skimming/hugging sea water surface, and the CIWS is switched to automatic mode to defend the ship and des.troy the enemy missile.

"SharpEye™ is a radical and innovative departure from current marine navigation radar technology in that it has no magnetron and uses a coherent transmission, which means that SharpEye™ is able to separate targets from clutter due to their differing radial velocity components. This extra dimension gives a significant performance advantage in detecting small targets in clutter resulting in safer ship operations.

SharpEye™ uses a solid-state power amplifier has a peak output power of just 170W and a duty of 10%. This contrasts with conventional magnetron based marine navigation radar systems, which have a 30kW output and duty typically less than 0.05%.

SharpEye™ transmits relatively long pulses in order to illuminate targets with sufficient energy for detection.

The graphs in the weblink compare the performance of conventional magnetron radar with that of SharpEye™, the performance advantage can be clearly seen. With no magnetron problems and now exceptional performance, SharpEye™ has to be the world’s best radar."

Nigerian OPV has the best radar in the world, South African Valour warships are now obsolete...fool grin grin

EroZA: You don't need south African brains, that's your own personal poor minded statement, your minister of energy was seen on tv crying for south African energy companies to assist your country interms of electricity, where were you when pres Jonathan requested South African motor industry to help Nigerians set theirs...now your country is requesting SA to lobby for her so that she gets a seat on the G20 and brics countries .....did you know that your first democratic elections were ran by the South African IEC,?am told you have your own BRT buses, may I tell you that your minister of transport came to SA to see how the project is done before implementing it in your country.....there are more than 100 SA companies doing business in your country,am not talking about spaza shops or prostitution business,am talking about real companies..poor Nigerians like you have no choice but to accept that..we are showing you people how to do everything,of course except playing football.
The call, NOT cry of Nigeria for power supply investment NOT aasistance (It is not free gift or grant) was to the whole world including India, the biggest response is from Canada, Manitoba Hydro Power if building new electricity power transmission infrastructure for 170 million, Skypower Canada is building Solar Power plant worth $5 Bilion and one of the largest in the world, for Nigeria, that is the photo I posted on page 971 yesterday.

I don't see South Africa in the picture of in the news investing anything near the Canadians.

BRT buses, wow ! Who fooled you? I said some mofos in South Africa always deceive you guys that you are the best in Africa in everything (I agree you are the best R.ape masters and M.urder experts), they fool you with false information because you people don't read world news or travel out to learn wisdom and come back home improved.

BRT buses story and fact is the other way round, Nigeria started BRT transport system and South Africa begged to be allowe to come and copy us in Nigeria, your experts came here to learn.

Nigeria was the first in Africa http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_bus_rapid_transit_systems

Meanwhile, the advanced countries' keep flocking to Nigeria, Nissan came this June, Kia Motors coming September, Toyoto coming next July, TWELVE world class vehicle manufacturers are opening factory in Nigeria in the next 12 months...that is massive flocking into giant Naija !

EroZA: my country is harboring thousands and thousands of Nigerian refugees..many nigerian illegal immigrants are wandering on the streets of SA
The travel visa South Africa gave the Nigerian's says visiting, working, tourist, or immigrant, NO REFUGEE VISA IS BEING GRANTED BY YOU TO US.

I said the monthly Tax 250,000 Nigerians pay while working or trading is a big source of revenue for South African government. You black citizens of South Africa are too illiterate, too poorly skilled, and too lazy to work and pay Tax to help your own government, you eat from ANC cash gifts paid monthly to your wasted generation of men sitting at home 24 hours a day drinking Koeldrank.

Your country is nothing special, there are 1 million Nigerians in Britain and Ireland, and there are 10 million Nigerians all over the world in Europe and America, Asia, Africa, Australia. Nigeria has the second largest number of migrant doctors working overseas in this world after India. Many of us Nigerians now own businesses in America and Europe.

You can pretend you don't know thousands of South African students are studying medicine in tiny Cuba, is Cuba a paradise?

Don't think your country is our favourite destination, it is mostly the Nigerians who don't make it to America and Europe that come over to South Africa, you are NOT AND WILL NEVER BE our first choice of a place to live, we hear all your R.ape and M.urder stories in Nigerian newspapers, we will come to your crime paradise if USA/EU/UK does not give us visa, get it?

EroZA: You said white south Africans are flocking to foreign countries,is Nigeria one of those countries? That was my simple question
We don't need South African brains to run things in Nigeria, every business we give your people, has a Nigerian version available and stronger. MTN can go if they want, we have Globacom and Visafone, we are only doing you a favour, but if you think otherwise, pack your bags and go away, Glo will take over MTN customers. You are flocking to Nigeria to get a better market, MTN customers in Nigeria is almost equal in number to the whole national population of South Africa, you have an over-saturated stagnant consumer market for any product or service in this world. Reason why Nissan is slowly moving it's production from South Africa to Nigeria started this month in Lagos Badagry production plant.

CraigB: Nope!

It's a fact.

“Some oil and gas executives and their families do perceive frontier markets like Nigeria as riskier than other markets and the high country premium reflects that,” said Helen Di Mauro, a partner at The Curzon Partnership. “Oil and gas companies recognise that the incentives have to be high because life as an expat in Nigeria is so different from countries with broader industries and higher standards of living.”

*Valour Class has both
You have NO knowledge of all equipment the Nigerian OPV except what you read on internet. The Chinese have NOT sent any detailed technical specifications to your personal email. For your information, the radar on the Nigerian OPV is a 2013 new model Kelvin Hughes new technology radar SharpEye™ advanced solid state radar that only few countries in this world have it, the radar on the Valour frigate is a 1999 old and outdated British Thales radar according to SIPRI.

The onboard electronic equipment on the Nigerian OPV are latest new generation and far superior to the obsolescent 15 years old electronic equipment on all South African Valour frigates.

Nigerian OPV SharpEye™, the advanced solid state radar will detect the smallest and fasted speed sea surface machines in motion that other warships cannot detect.

I won't waste my happy Sunday debating with a retaard, experience has shown me that it pays to invest my hours on watching TV than arguing with you....Retaaard .

EroZA: Kwa kwa kwa kwa,am glad there are no insults in your comment, thanx 4 dat

am laughing @ you because you say things the opposite way, there was a thread on this forum talking about mr dangote selling over 50 per cent shares of his main cement company to a south African company, there is another thread here of mr dangote food company taken by nandos...
Dangote allowed the South African firm buy his flour mill by making the dull SA guys pay almost one billion Rands extra above the value of the company because he was the stronger negotiator and a smarter one, he used that as an inroad to invade South African business world from different directions in multiple areas of investment starting with cement, others will follow, Dangote is already teaching the d.ullard South African CEOs how to do business.

"Dangote becomes largest foreign direct investor in South Africa...

Dangote Industries Limited (DIL), has formally increased its stake in Sephaku Cement (Pty) Limited, which is based in South Africa, from 19.76 percent to 64 percent. The transaction, which comprises a R779 million investment into Sephaku Cement by Dangote, is the largest ever foreign direct investment (FDI) by an African company into South Africa."

"Nigerian businessman looks set to become a significant player in SA economy

Nigerian businessman Aliko Dangote may not be a household name in South Africa yet, but as Africa’s richest man and currently the 25th richest person on the Forbes list, he is ploughing money into the country.

Dangote, whose net worth is estimated at $16.1 billion (R163.7 billion) by Forbes, is set to become a significant player on the South African business landscape.

Last week, speaking in Soweto on the sidelines of the visit by US President Barack Obama, Dangote said that he had plans to invest
approximately R3 billion more in east and southern Africa."

EroZA: they found the cure ,am back...

with all your so called truth the fact remains, your countrymen and women are running to the very country you are demonizing,am I lying?
Chinese and Indians are emigrating to other countries of the world including Nigeria, we have a 50 year exisitng Indian, Pakistani, Lebanese, Chinese, Israeli, American, German, and British community in Nigeria many of whom have become Nigerian citizens. Does that mean their country is inferior to Nigeria? Go ask Julius Berger the German Civil Engineering Billionaire why his family has become Nigerian.

Smart people of the world travel out and emigrate, they spread their business overseas and add to their wisdom by learning from other countries.

However, 99% of African immigrants in South Africa moved there to work because most South African blacks are too lazy to work, live on government financial welfare support , most have zero education because the Boer-White man reduced their brains to sea level, and so your country is short of hard working men and educated men.

There are many Nigerians who have bought hundreds of millions of dollars worth of real estate in South Africa, or does your country give Nigerians free estates? All the Nigerians in your country paid visa application fees to South African embassy and your country is always ready to pocket the travelers' money, so why are you complaining? 250,000 Nigerians in South Africa means your country collected visa fees, travel payments by SA airlines, and monthly Tax from salaries amounting to Billions of dollars from the same Nigerians you are insulting, the tax Nigerians pay by working is part of the sources your goverment uses to pay jobless/lazyman welfare benefit to millions of South African citizens sitting down at home very day of their wasted lives collecting government cash welfare benefits.

Your dull b.rain cannot recognize the fact that those 250,000 Nigerians are actually feeding you indirectly in your own country and supporting your weak manpower economy from collapse of labour shortage.

Nigerian men are busy taking your women from you, and Nigerian Billionaires like Tinubu of Oando Oil and Aliko of Dangote Cement are busy buying up South African businesses by invasion, meanwhile Nigeria could k.ill many in your country by asking Nigerian doctors to inject you with overdose of tranquilizers...lazy and illiterate men of South Africa, na only mouth you get, no brain...second dullest in the human race as at today

Msauza: Where where the soldiers when the town was set ablaze and people killed? That's my question.
The inexperienced South African military has not seen war in 20 years, so all the photos they make for @THIZA shows fine painted weapons parading on open field with no houses there. When real war happens in real life where real human beings live, houses get burned...SANDF has glued all South African minds to photography wars against an absent enemy in barren empty uninhabited lands, like this...
