bidding urself at close to stop rate might possible fail and u hav to wait till next primary auction, its better to let them bid for u using their bank rate
Bidding close to the stop rate can not fail, except he bids above.

Greetings to all financial gurus in the house. I have over 10m in five different tenures in treasury bills, allowing bank to bid on my behalf in primary market. I don't know if it would be better for me to sum or add all my money together, raising over 50m, and bid directly in the primary market. Please, which is a better idea?

Thanks to all for educating us so far.
I will advise you to put your 50m in a bank account and bid directly in the primary market instead of going for the bank rate. Even some of us with almost half of that amount in Tbills wish we can also bid by ourselves.

Oga freeman as your name implies,There are exemptions to some political posts.....What @ Zamirikpo posted is an issue we all need to analyse and deliberate on...Because whether we like it or not,it has an effect on our investments....Just take it real slow brother.
Nigeria is probably headed to anarchy.
God bless our investments.
In fairness to freeman, we shouldn't allow this thread to be politicised. We should leave all political statements to the politics section. Once we allow political debate, I can assure you that we will digress into the murky water of politics and this thread will lose its purpose. Some of us are PDP members and some are APC and other political parties. We should see ourselves as one here. We are here to save our investments and make some coins at the same time. The only language we understand here is how to make money while our capital is intact.

Have you not heared of oriojori or idi igi method of inheritance sharing.
Yorubas DO NOT follow the only male has inheritance principle. Heck they do not even place the first son above his elder sister.

Abeg ooo

grin grin Sorry I had to repeat it, repitition is for emphasis.
That is how some non-Yorubas go around rewriting Yoruba history.

@OP what is the level of education of this your brother ? And what is the level of education of you the other girls ?
Does he have a job ?

It seems he was not properly brought up and from the way you have narrated this, he doesnt even seem to have a job.

It looks like the adminstration of your parents marriage was not totally adequate and your brother is behaving just in the manner he has been brought up, in a family without love I suppose otherwise, how can a man and the wife build two separate uncompleted houses ?

Why will a man borrow money from the wife when he has more than 4 times that amount in savings and not pay back ?

Have you girls done anything to give your only brother an impression that he is alone ? You need to understand that culturally in Yoruba land the man child is the only person that can inherit a parent, the other ladies are expected to inherit from the inheritance of their husbands family so in a situation where there is no love ab initio your brother will see you guys as enemies .

Lastly, it seems your mom has a weakness with money , dashing fake pastors money and all, are there cases when her son needed money in the past and she did not give him but rather donated generously to pastors as you alluded to ?

For your brother to have turned around like this shows that there is a deep seated fundamental issue that needs to be addressed and you have to be really objective and ready to shift a lot of grounds if you dont want that family to fall apart.

I wish you goodluck.
Where in Yoruba land? Check what you wrote up there. There is no where in Yoruba land where that culture is practiced.
Female and male children share inheritance in Yoruba land.

Can you explain why one should not use current account to purchase treasury bills?
Bank charges on current account is almost twice that of savings account. One of the reasons I stopped using current account for TBills investment.

She claims she was Davido's baby sitter and she was with Davido's mum in the labour room when she was giving birth to him, yet she is trying everything to bring him down. Isn't that shameless, bitterness and betrayal. She is betraying Davido' mum who she indirectly claim they were friends. Oh I see perhaps she is bitter because her daughter who is David's birthday mate have not achieved a quarter of wat David achieved in life..
Perhaps she was expecting David to date her daughter instead of Chioma.
That woman is a demented Idiot.
I am happy Davido hasn't dignified her with any response.
Useless woman!

You are very apt based on my own experience with my pretty daughter.
I am even tired of her greetings now.
She wants to know what happens to me every minute.
Daddy, i hope you enjoy your meal?
Daddy, hope you are doing great?
Something is wrong, my daddy is still in the room alone.
Daddy, come out, they have started WWE.

iMed, just be calmed and make yourself available at home. Na you go tire of her greetings as time passes by.

A friend of mine who is introducing me to TBs told me he made an investment of 7M for 280days via access bank and the bank charges were about 21,000. Isn't that rather too much? My question is who knows how bank charges are calculated?
Maybe he used current account for the TBill. It is not advisable to use current account.

That's what u think. It doesn't make u right. U can dictate what u want even if u have less than 50m. They have relaxed a bit on that policy. Some banks dont accept primary bidding less than 50m from customers again. While some still accept and still allow u bid. Didnt u read the part where I said the banker asked me if I wanted to go with my own bidding? Or is he ignorant of the 50millon naira mark?
I deliberately put the fact that I have been investing for close to 5 Years now to give the impression that am not new in this matter. I have been investing before they brought this #50m policy. Am encountering something new and I only wanted to know if its what others have been encountering as well
Please, can you mention any bank?
