Johnycastro18: The bad side of God-fatherism
Its does not benefit the state in anyway, rather than some arrogant ex-governor trying to control and have access to the state finances whenever he wants That is what the current SGC and former governor of Benue state, George Akume, wanted doing same to current governor,Fr Hyacinth Aliya, but the reverend refused his nominations and is making positive strides without the interference of political godfatherism |

9japride: The government did well, I don't see anything bad in it. After all , down south especially the oil producing states they the government there waste a lot of money on irrelevant things that don't have any direct impact on the masses. Go to those oil states, their government officials all drive the latest SUV and lavish money on unnecessary parties. Why can't the government create a good environment for business? Tourism is another gold mine. But, the issue of security needs to be solved. I doubt if security issues will be sincerely be solved? A situation they use idle men to carry out election mago mago matters. Having mass wedding and providing beds with which the illiterate that has nothing doing to go fvck and make more babies in a state that has way over 10 million citizens, is an achievement? Nigeria is indeed a failed nation. Why not Channel the money used for a more productive venture . Who do us this thing abeg |

BoldBrainz: I find it really awkward when even Nigerians consistently equate "Calabar" to be a state.
You cannot list States and be mentioning Calabar as one of them, for whatever intents. Calabar is the capital of Cross River State. The state has a litany of other ethnicities. Even the Calabar itself is not dominated by the Efiks. Most of the people claiming indigenous roots in Calabar are originally from Odukpani, Akamkpa and Akpabuyo. Same way they constantly call Jos and not plateau. |

Because Nollywood is very big across Africa and the world, our movies has been a great influence to many African English countries and most of them now understand and copy to speak our version of pidgin English.
The closest country to Nigeria in terms of similarities in pidgin English is Liberia, Sierra Leone then Ghana. Even Cameroon. The English speaking side. There numbers aren't as much as the french speakers sha |

Politics › Re: Tinubu Withdraws Maryam Shetty's Nomination, Nominates Festus Keyamo As Minister by Agent17th: 4:10pm On Aug 04, 2023 |
Throwback: Kano people rubbished their own young and woman candidate, while Keyamo was assisted by the Igbos poking fun at him but ended up helping his ministry.
The lessons learnt here are,
1. To be contented with a bird at hand than 2 in the bush. That is for the critics from Kano.
2. Never claim victory until the battle is truly over. That is for the Obidients and Igbos mocking Keyamo.
Keyamo now becomes the only Minister from the Buhari regime that will remain a Minister into the Tinubu regime.
While Maryam would be later compensated with a non-ministerial role.
This life na real waaa. Now seriously. How is nominating Keyamo of any added significance in your life. And how does it affect Obidients and igbos positively. How much has been credited to you and how much have you bought fuel, since Keyamo was nominated. I believe you are a young man, how is playing politics at this stage been of any help to you and your loved ones. Politicians will keep riding on us and making a mockery of it's citizens because of your kind. Sad, so sad |
