A similar incident occurred when I went for my filing/confirmation/kids approval. A man was visibly venting at the NIS officer for frustrating his passport processing after paying above the official price for fast-track since 4months ago!!!

VIP 3 is strictly for kids or kids with Adults who came for capturing, the adult who came with the kids captures immediately after the kids...

3) Yes that is what I will be doing as it’s the same thing that will be done at Servicom even if you go there... I will check as from 2week to 3weeks from now...

Met a woman with her hubby who paid 200k for both of them with their kids since last year, they are yet to get their passport and the officer who they paid isn’t even around... Those who use agent are even in worst scenario, I saw a guy whose info was mis matched... NIN problem is the worst to get your sef into as many people had to go back due to it even though there is an NiN office there now but they charge exorbitant fees...

Some questions pls....
1) Where you directed to VIP3 for capturing from Servicom?
2) After picking your file at Servicom, did you write your name anywhere while wait for your turn to be captured?
3) Were you given an enrollment slip that has your collection date?

As per the deliberate delays, it's an extortion strategy to frustrate you and make you settle them since their "cut" has been bypassed by DIY method!

1) Yes I did my capturing in VIP 3 as that is the capturing room for kids ...
2) Servicom only helped with arrangement, I took my file everywhere it’s meant to go I.e confirmation and approval but I finally took it back to Servicom ... So I didn’t write any name down...
3) I was give enrollment slip with number but no collection date... not sure of any one getting collection date

Final Note: Except you have a sure link, don’t pay any officer for fast track because the system is now difficult to beat except for top ranking officers, I heard many officers whose client were on their neck for fast tracking discussing on how they have been ignoring their calls as they was nothing to do

Was asked for marriage certificate at my child approval section even though I will be debating it when I get back since am here with her mother and also can’t a divorced father get a passport for his daughter ? That is what am dragging with them as I didn’t come with any marriage certificate ....

Aplication letter is for those renewing while consent letter is for children below 18...

I have seen them accept both at Alausa but I can only speak of Alausa.

You will need the appointment slip especially if you’re doing DIY. The cafe people around the passport office may be able to help you get it.

Good day Lovely Sir(s) and Ma(s), I will be capturing (renewal) while my daughter of 2yrs (fresh) at ikoyi on the 31st Tuesday May , please kindly assist with documents I will need to take along, I want to compare with what I have based on info I got from the Immigration website.. am team DIY... advice on how to u go about the movement will be appreciated too plus if we have anyone scheduled for that date as Team DIY, I wouldn’t mind to connect... The NIMC app is not reliable for children. You can check the NIN status on quickverify.ng or go to the nearest Immigration office before the capturing date to confirm.

Please kindly advise, The capturing date for my child of two is 31st and we did an NIN for her about 2weeks ago but when I tried checking via the NIN App, it was showing “not found in database”, I sent a mail to NiN customer care via the post of someone who stated it here but it’s the 3rd day and I check again but it’s still saying “not found in database” what could be the cause and hope it won’t affect her capturing on Tuesday?? 1) Patience is an essential ingredient in this team! Absence of it exposes you to the Touts and Agents domiciled in their back office building opposite the Police Station

2) Read! Read!! Read!!! the instructions while filing the forms online. Read again at the Servicom Notice board

3) Some uniformed officers are friendly and Professional ooh! However, all na wash so that EGUNJE go drop!

4) DO NOT INDUCE /BRIBE ANYONE TO FASTRACK YOUR PASSPORT PROCESSING! FOLLOW DUE PROCESS


5) If you are processing your children's passports, ensure to BRING them with you for Verification/Approval BEFORE your capture date to avoid stories that touch.....

6) Always appreciate the nice/helpful officers verbally or with a TOKEN as the spirit leads you......when you have COLLECTED your passport intact!

For a woman who got her passport before marriage thereby having her father’s name on it but right now she is married even though she did a court affidavit and news paper publishing bearing her father’s name with her husband name included.. Now the question... is it compulsory for her to renew passport to change to her new name which has additional name of her husband or the affidavit and marriage is enough to cover her for travelling with her husband as a dependent?... This really confused me, cos I expected my car icon on the map to be going froward just like when you're using the G-map. I don't think I can use the bolt inbuilt map ooh.
