Hopefully in the next 15 years, they might captured 5 percent of the market. Even Huawei won't be using their own OS on Huawei phones. |

She didn't want to litter the streets, I do something similar too. She could have stuffed the groundnut inside the empty bottle of water. That way it would be easier for the driver to dispose. Sometimes it's a wrap of sweet, n I keep it in my pocket instead of throwing around. Sometimes it could be a peel of banana, I keep it in my hands until I can find where to dispose it. She is a very clean person compared to most people who will just keep throwing it out d window. 38 Likes |

beardedboy: You are just as bad as him. You also haven't provided any proof to support even an inconsequential evidence that the Army unit who shut the cops were "mixed" from different tribes. The government hasn't done much to stop d killings and kidnappings. it is even safer to be a cow than be a human in Nigeria. So yes, it looks like a propaganda at the onset, but when we have a government who don't act and who don't even react and all they do is deny; then the propaganda begins to looks like the truth. 4 Likes |

ogbonti: 1. Stop confusing yourself. You can't just jump on a plane to anywhere, u need a Visa. This is not the same as taking a bus to Ghana. 2. Trump has made at least two new tweaks to the immigration law. If he didn't make new regulations, why then did the court threw out his case? https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2019/jul/24/trump-asylum-migrants-judge-california-blocks-rule 3. The issue of staying in the next safest country has been thrown out. Read the first paragraph in the link above. Don't quote me again except u want to apologise for your ignorance. Maybe u used to work at some immigration but u need to update your knowledge. Argue with facts or web links next time, I am sick of your clouded judgement and old knowledge. |

ogbonti: If I went to school in the US and there was war in my country before I graduated? Surely I can seek asylum. If I hold a valid US visiting, business and just about any other Visa and I am persecuted in my country, surely I can get on d plane n seek asylum. There is no one way to this thing n that's why we have immigration lawyers. So quoting me, telling me that I am wrong is a myopic thing to do. And whatever immigration policy or policies regarding asylum in the US that Trump brought in is as at today all thrown out by the courts. And what's my with a bloody safe zone, do u expect that girl to have trekked to Cameroon or Niger republic enroute US? She obviously flew into America on a valid Visa. If she wants to claim persecution, so be it. What's her business with a damn safe zone, we r not talking about refugees here. |

Celebrities / Re: Oluwatunmise Oluyede Fled To America After COZA Rape Allegation - Kemi Olunloyo by AgreatMan: 8:47pm On Aug 05, 2019 |
Mk12: If I am already in the US, shall I now leave to a bordering country like Canada to apply for asylum? Certainly this argument doesn't apply to this. There are two scenarios here: firstly, I am persecuted in my country n go to US embassy to seek asylum. If your case is not Rock solid, forget it, they will turn u down with or without Trump's rule. Sowore or Nnamdi Kanu can scale this. Asylum thing is more of a United Nations thing for it's member countries. The other case is if u can somehow smuggle yourself to America on just about any Visa, then u can seek asylum. And can we stop talking about Trump's "safe country rule?" Because that thing has been ruled out by the courts. |
Celebrities / Re: Oluwatunmise Oluyede Fled To America After COZA Rape Allegation - Kemi Olunloyo by AgreatMan: 7:49pm On Aug 05, 2019 |
ogbonti: U need some education bro. Asylum is tied to persecution from your home country. The reason you have been (or will be) persecuted is connected to one of five things: your race, religion, nationality, membership in a particular social group, or your political opinion. Clearly, this babe is persecuted based on RELIGION. Interrupt me next time with facts please. |

Sterope: What baseless court cases? The same cases that were not enough to stop him from running as President? I beg leave matter, all na noise. And no, I don't follow Trump in the news but somehow, d dude has infiltrated every news site I am usually interested in. Poor people go to the bank to save money n go home to think about what they will use the money for. A rich man comes to the bank to collect their money and run his biz. Trump has no business skills but somehow the American economy has being at his best ever. His juju must be very strong. Tax is meant for the poor n not for the rich, the rich folks know how to push their tax due date ahead. Sad reality that u should let sink in. Don't let your hate become an obsession. And let's reduce this "if" statement. If Trump hadn't won the election. If I hadn't graduated with third class. If I hadn't had this misfortune. All na story 1 Like |

WaywardSon: I was respecting this country before I later realized that their "war" with the West has already brought the country to it's knees n no shot has been fired yet. U can't keep claiming "strong head" when your people starve while spending $13B on military research yearly just so u can build a gun with enough range to drop an American drone. It's madness. Those people are hungry, what you see on TV are paid supporters extracted from nearbye Iranian villages to the city on free transportation n food. Much like what Yaya Bello will do when his campaign starts. |

Sterope:These are the biggest companies in the world, yes, they empower more people than other companies, even Governments. Trump didn't do money ritual, there is no corruption case hanging on his head, the US government didn't give him some special favours. So yes, he deserves some respect from his billions. Have you ever done any business (not salaried work), that made u 200k before? If u truly have, u will salute a fellow businessman. No, I am not an asslicker, but I definitely respect him for his business and negotiation skills. Even his strongest critics shut their mouth when it comes to these two things. Where exactly in the report was it stated that those US companies don't pay tax abroad? Every single business in the world ( French or US) WILL do anything legal to pay a lower tax. Don't let anyone fool u. If US exports $36B worth of goods to France, and France exports $52B, who has really need the other? If u are in a position of power, u can never allow anyone to bully u, well, except maybe if your name is Nigeria. The US legislature is already tinkering with their law to allow them impose tarriffs on $52B worth of French imports. Watch the space in the next 3 months. Don't worry, this not our nigerian legislature, it will come to pass. 1 Like |

I think Iranians should be protesting to their leadership about their dead economy instead of Shittes. 1 USD = 360 Nigerian naira 1 USD = 42, 000 Iranian Rial This country is about to become the next Venezuela n all they think of some senseless religious issue. 8 Likes 1 Share |

onegig: Na so. In on paragraph you compared Trump with a kid, next you went ahead to call other nairalanders stupid n "dolts." You were pained that Trump called France's €500M tax on American companies foolish, yet you ended up do out worse insults. Next you went ahead to give a one sided argument and ignorantly brought in Twitter, Uber n IG into the argument when they were not even affected by the tax. But let's even stick to your one sided Uber argument. Do u know the amount of drivers n their families Uber feeds? How about the car dealers? How about the customs duty paid to Nigerian government as a result of increased demands for certain car brands? What about drivers licences n vehicle papers paid for? What about the vehicle insurance fees even if it is usually 5k? What about car mechanics that theoretically have more cars to fix? What about the family of those mechanics? What about the spare parts seller? We have not even talked about how it affects crime rate. .these are all monies brought into the nigerian economy because of Uber n Taxify alone. I know a car dealer who has sold 13 Toyotas n lexus in the last 4 months. If u want to tax, tax but Don't just target 4 US companies. Trump is not a politician, he is a businessman n he will definitely find it harder to swallow. 1 Like |

robinsonmfon: Perhaps u can share a few things about what's happening in the USA to enlighten us all. I had found it absurd that France will target ONLY apple, Google, Amazon n FB for tax. Are they they only tech companies in France? France is taxing them a combined €500M, other countries will get emboldened too n no sensible President wants that. No businessman enjoys paying tax and you should have expected Trump to take it a lot more personal. 1 Like |

NavalBoy: I have seen this before, but in a real life recreated as a movie. Movie title is "Flash of genius." Long before now, about 30 years or so, a car's wiper had only one setting. The wiper keeps sweeping d water left n right at d same speed regardless of whether d rain was heavy or light. This meant that on light showers the wiper will still work at the same speed therebye making uncomfortable noise. Dude invented a variable speed wiper which we now hv on every single car today. Now u can adjust the speed of the wiper based on how much it rains. Problem started when Ford (I believe) said they wanted to buy his invention but he said he wanted to produce it himself n sell to auto industries. They stole his invention n left him. It took him 28 years, I believe, to get a settlement. But he lost every single person close to him. He lived a sad life n really couldn't mk anything of d money when he was awarded cos of age. His case is even a lot more understandable than your dad. They had tricked him to obtain a bank loan n start setting up the factory before they absconded. But remember, US is not Nigeria. Humans will still cheat u regardless of whether white or black but he was lucky this whole thing happened in a society that works. US is not Nigeria. Play d movie for him. It might strengthen his resolve but that's not a new thing, his resolve is already strengthened. But it might make him see things differently. Perhaps, if he can sue the Rivers Government instead of individuals, he might have a better case. The persons who shared his money are either dead or retired. |

manny4u:Vision2045 Na so. Keep searching for pity and being the victim that everyone says sorry to. Keep being the one that everyone buys a white hankie to wipe your tears. The man has lost his wife, his kids and everything that matters to him because of some money they dashed him. That money was never meant to define his life. That was never meant to be his life's story but somehow he has made it the centre of his entire being. There is no where I mentioned that he should let the money go. By all means, try to get it especially in d court which according to d story, he didn't do. but that shouldn't define your life. Everybody who shared that money 28 years ago is either dead or retired. Funny enough, he doesn't even know how much d money was. I know for certain that whatever they gave was not meant to suddenly make him Rich. So if u want to cry about all those who wronged u; I will buy you a pack of hankerchief. We all get Fu**Ed. NavalBoy Tell your dad to move along. He was not born with the Money. How much is even the money involved? What if he had received the money and got robbed before he got home? What if he never got any scholarships? What if he was never educated like most of his peers and was only a farmer? If he didn't make anything with his life even with his education, it cannot be blamed on free money that was dashed to him. The biggest money the Swiss gave him was that scholarship to make something for himself |
