Pedagogue: @ Op, I just watched that video. Nothing in the video suggests that they were dancing "after the defeat of boko haram". In fact, from their body language, it looks more like they were being 'prepped' and 'motivated' for a battle ahead.
........... May I crave the indulgence of everyone to pour out my mind on what has been boggling me. For you to understand me, I will use a numbered list.
1. I am a Nigerian. I am a Christian. The nature of my work makes it impossible for me to have 'enough time' for social media.
2. I have been following GEJ and Buhari's campaign.
3. I have never, and i beg to repeat, NEVER been this interested in Nigeria's politics, like I am now.
4. The reasons why I'm now keenly interested in the political future of this country is because i believed some of the campaign promises of GEJ. To tell you that I am disappointed is an understatement. Below are some of the reasons why I'm disappointed:
a) I'm tired of a govt that plays politics with everything. Or how can you rationalise the govt's last minute war on boko haram? Where was GEJ when thousands were killed? b)I'm tired of a govt that cited security concerns for not visiting Borno BUT was able to hold a rally in the same Borno that was declared 'unsafe'. c)Power generation is at its lowest ebb. It is as if I live in a different country when i see adverts praising GEJ for bettering power supply. d) Corruption nko? Don't go there...The President is arguably the only President that has not hidden his love for corruption. He surrounds himsef with corrupt people and promotes corrupt people. You doubt me? Alams, Bode George, FFK, Oduah etc all come to mind. e) Education? ASUU was on strike for 6 months. ASUP was on strike for 11 months. Colleges of education were locked for several months...Oh, he established new universities...Does it even make sense? The existing ones are crying for attention and all our President could do was to establish new universities...Ive you been to the Federal University in Oye, Ekiti. You will weep for Nigeria. g) Hospitals....Too bad. Do you know the number of lives that were lost to the incessant strikes of the Health workers... i) No government has polarised Nigeria along ethnic and religious lines like this man...He thinks we can just gloat over his INCOMPETENCE because he's a Xtian and from the South...No way!!!I can go on and on
5. Forget GEJ's pious posture. He's very desperate. He's ready to do anything to win the elections. 6. They think Nigerians are simpletons. They think by paying some youths to write pro- GEJ comments on social media and furthering their propaganda on AIT and co will win them the elections...THEY ARE WRONG. 7. My daily interaction with Nigerians show that MANY cannot wait for MARCH 28... 8. The Presidential election is not about Buhari v GEJ 9. It's about RIGHT v WRONG. 10. Lets face it.The First Term performance of GEJ is his best.No politician has ever performed better in it's Second term.
I cannot wait to vote for Buhari/Osinbajo go and die. |

Babaneh: A BOMBSHELL!! – ANOTHER HORROR STORY FROM THE INTELLIGENCE FILES!!
The story below reached us this morning (23/02/2015). It came from one of our reliable sources in Nigeria. It is one of the most disturbing stories that we have yet received. Read it and make your own judgement!
“I have it on a strong ground that there is a plan to capture a Shekau before the week to elections. And the captured Shekau who is currently undergoing training on what to say and do will mention Buhari as one of their core sponsors. The target according to the source is to discourage Southern voters and the Northern Christians (from liking Buhari). The confession is alleged to be so perfectly planned that Buhari may even be arrested and even those who love him may think twice (about his sincerity). The sum of 4.5 billion Naira is purportedly budgeted. The purpose of this budget I am told is for bribing some Northern clerics so when the time comes, they will pacify their followers (to reject Buhari as he is BoKo Haram sponsor). There will purportedly be audio of phone calls (between Buhari and the Boko Haram leaders). Buhari will not be able to sue the government since it will be an arranged confession of a captured terrorist. Now, I am not saying this (leak) is true. But knowing how desperate these PDP people are, they can do just anything to get Buhari out of the way. Honestly, I am deeply, deeply, deeply, worried. In fact, I am troubled. Kindly share this and let the world know about this evil machination of the PDP before it is too late. Kindly do it. The person who gave me this information is an Intelligence officer with the Army. He looks worried too.”
May God save Nigeria and Nigerians. Amen.

Politics › Re: APC To Jonathan -Yoruba Monarchs Can't Save You From Defeat by ahaz: 7:48pm On Feb 23, 2015 |
ShehuAba: The All Progressives Congress ( APC) in Southwest on Monday confronted President Goodluck Jonathan with stark analysis of his last minutes move to court Yoruba monarchs ahead of the election , saying it will not secure him victory in the March 28 presidential election .
In a statement issued by the Director of Media and Publicity in the zone , Mr. Ayo Afolabi , the party explained why Jonathan will lose in Southwest .
According to the APC, Yoruba voted massively for him n 2011 based on their conviction that he was a better candidate but that they have been disappointed by his poor performance in governance .
The statement reads : “The latest move by President Goodluck Jonathan to court Southwest monarchs ahead of 2015 general election has no redemptive electoral value in Southwest because it is devoid of strategic assessment .
“ The strategic question the President and his campaign managers should have tried to answer before engaging on the rash moves is: how many of such desperate and impromptu meetings were needed before Yoruba people voted for him in 2011 ? How much did President Jonathan spend to get Yoruba votes in 2011 and why should he think money will save him now ?
“ All other regions extracted several promises from President Jonathan in the race to 2011 elections except the Southwest , which voted based on their firm convictions and commitment to justice and good governance .
“ However , despite getting Yoruba votes effortlessly , what did the region get in return ?
In the last five years , Jonathan ’ s administration has shown unbearable contempt for the region and its people and their values, especially in the attempt to adulterate their leadership values.
“ For instance , many top Yoruba people in the civil service have been the victim of Jonathan administration ’ s nepotism . Under no compulsion , no Yoruba person will be proud of those President Jonathan has imposed as leaders representing Yoruba people in different capacities whether as governor, minister , or party leaders .
“ From all intent and purposes, governance has stopped in Ekiti State as the governor has been functioning more as a campaign manager with the resources of Ekiti people than as a governor. Ekiti people deserve better than they currently get.
“ The Southwest APC is confident that Yoruba monarchs and voters are conscious of the implications of a Greek Gift and as the bastion of democratic justice and good governance , they will vote true to their cultural identity that loathes tyranny , corruption , and nepotism .
In fact , activities in the Presidency in the last few weeks have confirmed that Jonathan did not realise the need for governance until it is evident that Nigerians have already embraced the opportunity of change offered by the APC .
“ Nigerians deserve better than such a President and they will use their ballot to pass a vote of no confidence on the clueless and wasteful Jonathan administration on March 28 . ”

Politics › Re: Governor Kwankwaso Says Buhari Is Healthier Than Jonathan by ahaz: 4:32pm On Feb 23, 2015 |
kay29000: The Governor of Kano State, Rabiu Kwankwaso, has stated that the Presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Muhammadu Buhari is in a better health condition than President Goodluck Jonathan and is therefore, fit to rule Nigeria.
Mr. Buhari, a former Head of State and Retired General of the Nigerian Army, is presently on a working visit to the United Kingdom.
His campaign office had issued a statement Thursday saying in the course of the visit, Mr. Buhari will hold meetings with key members of the British political establishment and interact with some global institutions with interest in the affairs of Nigeria.
“General Buhari would hopefully give a talk at the prestigious foreign policy hub, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatam House in London, the spokesperson for his campaign, Garba Shehu, said.
However, there has been wide speculation by supporters of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, that Mr. Buhari was actually ferried out to receive medical attention because his health was failing.
The Kano governor who had a chat with newsmen in Kano on Sunday said Mr. Buhari has no health challenges.
“By my judgement, since we finished our party primary elections, he is sound, hale and fit to rule this country. “In fact I feel he is healthier than the incumbent occupier of the seat because he went to all the states on campaigns in addition to other engagements that come in between,” he said.
Mr. Kwankwaso also accused the Federal government and the ruling PDP of sharing money to win the presidential election fixed for March 28.
He said money alone cannot give success in the forthcoming elections.
“The Federal Government and the PDP can use all the money in the treasury to bribe whoever they want, but God, the Almighty, has his own way of doing things.
“Power belongs to Him not to those with money or who control security agencies. Nigerians are wiser,” he said. On his stewardship as governor, Mr. Kwankwaso said every state governor can work to develop their states unless if they chose to steal instead.
“People are surprised and many are asking questions that where did we get the money to do these projects we are doing in Kano. But the truth of the matter is that – you cannot steal and perform. It is the money for projects that people steal that is why they are not performing. In Kano we don’t steal,” he said.
He enumerated some of the landmark projects he undertook in the state to include the award of an Independent Power Project at Tiga and Challawa-Gorge Dam at the cost of N14.2BN, establishment of one garment factory in each of the 44 local governments in the state and the establishment of a Micro Finance bank also in each of the 44 local governments.
Mr. Kwankwaso also said 44 Schools for Islamic Studies and 44 Technical Schools were built in the state. “These were with a view to ensure that all our children that finished primary school get space to proceed to have post-primary education
“I feel so fulfilled that our governments as been able to encourage Kano people to accord education the priority it deserves,” he said.
