I bought a thermocool generator from a major distributor of thermocool, they did an initial service using 20W50 oil manufactured by thermocool so I didn't think anything was wrong. Infact, I felt the engine must have been designed to use that oil considering it's the holy grail in Nigeria.

Got home, went through the owners manual only to see it boldly written that the gen should be serviced with 10W30 oil. So these guys manufactured an engine designed to use 10W30 oil and then went on to produce 20W50 oil for same gen. How do you explain this kind of fuckery?

Which of the Thermocool products is this? The TEC Optima series recommends 20W50.

It was handed over to the airline on the 15th of March. Hopefully,it should arrive your nearest PO before the 15th of April if cargo flights are allowed to enter Nigeria from China.

Looking at the dashboard of this car which someone was interested in getting from a car dealer, some warning lights could be seen.

He called me to inspect the car which came out clean in, out and under; autocheck VIN report also came out fine. But after scanning it, result showed;
1. Back left wheel abs sensor
2. TPMS fault
and these warning lights stayed on the dashboard of the car.

Should he pay for the car?
Will fixing the abs sensor and TPMS really remove all the warning lights from the dashboard of the car even after I cleared all DTCs?

P.S: I already told him my piece of advice but I want to confirm from the house if what I told him is good. Thanks in advance! !!

Replacing the abs sensor will clear 90% of the warning lights. What is the TPMS code? As long as the module is not fried, the fix can go from as cheap as inflating the tires to as expensive as replacing the TPMS sensor/s.

I followed instructions on their website and made payment for a renewal licence on the 30th of January (I didn't select data capture, thanks to the OP for the tip). I went to the FRSC FCT office three days later and the payment/acknowledgment slip was signed by the VIO officer on duty. I was told to come back in 2 weeks time whether I receive a SMS or not. I waited for a month and went back to check. Voila, the licence was ready!

Total amount spent = N10,450 for the 5 years DL

Mine is 40 days. I've informed the seller who has contacted the carrier about the delay. I really don't know why Singapore Post is having these issues. If you don't receive your item within the 60-day window, open a dispute and get a refund.

These are the dates of despatch for items ordered this year so far:
10th of January S05 - received in 16 days
13th of January S05 - still in transit
18th of January S06 - received in 20 days
20th of January S05 - received in 18 days
10th of February S05 - received in 16 days

Items I,II and V were bought from the same store. Items I and II are the same.

My CRV 08 showed check engine light and i noticed i have to top up the water virtually daily(not much though)

Did a scan and got a P2185 code (Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT)

I actually had a recent work done on it due to an impact. The fuel pump and crankshaft had to be replaced.

You need a competent mechanic to check for leakages (topping up with water everyday is a red flag). He/she should also confirm that the thermostat is working. If you have the funds, replace the water with the recommended coolant. The P2185 code signifies risk of overheating (low coolant levels, bad thermostat, bad ECT sensor) if the issue is not resolved.

The first picture must be outdated based on the API specs. The second picture is more recent and does not recommend the use of 20W-50 oil. Bottom line: manage your engine with what you believe in.
