ogugua88: We'll see after his album. No one knew of him after the Endowed remix and (those that heard) said "wtf" after his Scapegoat remix. Again, we'll see.
What do you want to see?. At least dbanj used his mother tongue in his verse, so the song is not totally westernised. You and i know americans cant buy what they cant relate with.Don't expect his failure, wish him well.

jennykadry: It is. Smart girl with brains, a registered nurse and a PR @19 a citizen at 20?? She's gat to be careful ooo, so many boys will be eyeing her either for her to secure their stay with her citizenship or make life easier for them with the money she makes from being a nurse.

Wahala dey cheesy
I assure you, i am not like those boys. Right now, i am already loving her,. It's true love and it will last forever. God bless you as you hook us. I am a footballer and having a nurse as a wife is not a bad idea. Thanks

ogugua88: Some Nigerians and their money-driven mentalities. I guess some people can't criticize without being called a poor hater. Truth be told, the title says D'Banj but I don't know who that D'Banj is anymore.

It's a terrible shame. Westerners bring their western music to us. We accommodate and enjoy it. D'Banj is going to westerners and has sounded less African/Nigerian with every step forward. Like someone rightly said, if we wanted this genre of music, we know who to search and where to look for it. I'm not impressed one bit.
You don't need to be impressed. Could n't you wonder why oliver twist was n't a hit in US as compared to what it did in europe? This is a kind of song americans dig, not most trashes that come from Nigeria. If western world is only after afro music, flavor is supposed to be a billionaire by now. Dbanj is gradually getting there.

Policewoman: Just drove past Apo Mechanic village in Abuja where the APO 6 were trading before the were killed. Seems the Apo spare parts dealers are complying half way. Some are open, others are not. I will urge all to be law abiding while observing this sit at home. It's a matter of choice and nobody should be forced. Ndigbo ekenee m unu.
As a 'biafran policewoman'that you are, why did nt u arrest those who opened their spare parts shops at apo as against massob directive. All of u are traitors. No wonder ojukwu left u for abidjan.

texaco1: my guy leave bad belle the song is rubbish.dbanj did his best but only God knows why this ppl cant get good songwriters like those that write for psquare.dbanji lyrics were good and the voice is still there but just like someone said earlier he needs to stay in naija more.i regret donloading this song i dont think i will download anysong again from nl here even if they michael jackson dey inside
You are neither here or there. Are you a flip flop? If you are after lyrical content you know where to go. Most Club bangers are lyrically wack. The psquare u mentioned if I analyse some of the flaws in their lyrics, you will know they are lyrically average. Cut us some slack , just enjoy the vibe.

I like Don jazzy but it seems he is losing it without dbanj. Mavin's show at the BBA could attest to this. They were a shadow of themselves, especially Dprince's stage performance was so below average. I pity my guy WC. Dbanj towers above them all.

Afam4eva: At least you can agree with me that that "Top of the World" is not a popular song, so the point you were making with it still doesn't hold water. Since after "Oliver Twist", every other song he has released has been average in terms of response from Music lovers. Even Tongolo, Fall in Love and other songs he did in time past thumps his new songs in terms of popularity.
Keep shifting goal post to score cheap points. Yet you keep missing the targets and displaying your ignorance. Oliver twist is a club banger, Top of the world is for an occasion like nation's cup, inspirational song sort of.
Music/Radio › Re: Dbanj's 'Oliver Twist' Has 20Million Youtube Views by airmark(mod): 6:28pm On May 31, 2013
Afam4eva: You're re-enforcing my point. he couldn't have sand "Oliver twist" there. He sang a song that was more commensurate with the occasion but he wasn't necessarily invited because of this relatively unknown song. He was invited because he was D'banj.
Aint re-inforcing any point of yours. He was called in order to sing that TOP OF THE WORLD song. His performance with the choreographers confirmed this. Yes, he has the name, but the 'Top of the world' song was a theme song for the competition. If it was all about name, why did n't they call Tuface or Psquare?

Afam4eva: Are you sure you're a NIgerian or an Israelite. That's beside the point anyways.

Wande Cole and Da Prince also sang their Mumu songs at the Big Brother opening. D'Banj was invited to perform at the Nations cup because he's an already established musician, so whatever song he decided to sing didn't matter. I want this "Top of the World" of a song or any of his new songs to make it big just like "Oliver Twist" then I will shut my mouth as it relates to D'Banj's new found love. He can live in the glory of "Oliver Twist" forever.
It did matter, the song was suitable for the occasion. You would nt expect the organisers to ask him to sing 'TONGOLO' on that day. Wande coal needs just don jazzy's beat, he needs to be under a better management. He is lagging behind.

Mark, proudly Nigerian, always in support of any Nigerian making my country proud. Dbanj sang his new tune ''TOP OF THE WORLD'' at the Nations cup final and it was a great performance.

Afam4eva: It still doesn't change the fact that this was his last song with Mo'Hits. I want to hear about the exploits D'banj is doing with his new songs and not Oliver Twist.

Sports › Why I Don't Play For Nigeria - David Alaba by airmark(op): 12:09am On May 26, 2013
BAYERN Munich youngster, David Alaba, says he should have been playing representative football for Nigeria but was denied by stringent eligibility rule by football officials in the country.

Alaba, whose father is Nigerian and of Filipino mother, plays for Austrian national team but only after he has been turned down by Nigeria.

The defender said he actually planned to join Nigeria's cadet team which won the 2007 FIFA World Youth Championship at South Korea but words reached him of his ineligibilty

''I wanted to play for Nigeria but I must confess that there was no formal approach for me. A scout actually discussed that with me. I was excited because of my dad, he was a fan of Sunday Oliseh when Oliseh played for FC Koln. As a kid, I loved to watch Victor Agali in the jersey of Hansa Rostock,'' he told an Austrian news medium.

However, Alaba was shocked when told by the scout that Nigeria had plans mainly for its home-grown talents.

'' I got the information that Nigeria will only consider those who were in the country perhaps because of travelling logistics and that is the end of that."
