No need to be worried bro, once they stamp her passport, it will be updated on her CiC account, mine was updated after I have received my passport. My kids passport still pending in vfs. Am beginning to be worried. Meanwhile, they did medical yesterday.

quote author=Ajayi4 post=70152187]

Hello Jimmy, pls was there an update on your online application stating you have submitted your passports after submission in VFS office? My wife submitted yesterday, and the online stuff is still reading "we have requested original passport". Then there was no message on my wife's email showing this as well. Any need to be worried?

I will encourage your also not to entertain fears. As soon as they receive their medical results, and they pass, they are good to go. I am very sure of that. It was the medical issue that caused the delay. Be sure of that.

My wife’s own is also in London. I confirmed that yesterday.

The tracking message on my wife's email from VFS shows our application is being treated in Lagos. It says your application.....has be forwarded to Canadian visa office, Lagos. I guess ours is being treated in Lagos. My thought though.

Which visa office treated your application?

I don't know the office that treated my family application yet. My wife has not got the stamped passports yet. She submitted yesterday. Until she gets the stamped passports back, we may not know the office that treated the applications.

I am not so sure, but I think biometric depends on the age too. maybe you should try and check CIC website to know the age group for Biometric. If we received your application before July 31
You need to give your biometrics if you’re between 14 and 79 years old, even if you gave them to us in the past in support of an application for a visitor visa, study or work permit.Goodluck

Thank you @wealth360. I am grateful. A friend of mine whose wife came to Canana with a son of ten year old said the son was asked to do biometrics before they collected his passport. Another colleague whose wife submitted passport about four months ago was asked to pay biometrics money for all of the children less than 13. I keep wondering o

Hello my people, I want to ask if children are doing biometrics now. I learnt that before passport can be submitted for children, they will ask them to undergo biometrics or pay the money. My wife is going to submit passports on Wednesday and I don't know if she will have to go with the children. Somebody pls help.

ENEMIESENEMY:
Hello everyone,

My processing time has not been exceeded, it would be by December 25th, and I am to resume January 9th, of course I have to have everything ready, like school fees and others on or before January 4th, to avoid late payment and all. Now, the thing is, I have passed my medicals for over five weeks now, and they haven't made final decision. Seriously, these five weeks of suspense has literally affected my health, I won't lie, these people will kill someone one day. At the point I am in now, I want to send them an email to put my application into considedation and make a decision so this killing suspense can be over. The thing is, is it reasonable? Has anyone here read on any parts or anywhere of someone doing such and it didn't infruitate the VO, since my processing time hasn't exceeded? What I want to know is, am I looking for trouble by sending this email, or it's fine?

My sis/bro, pls kindly endure the suspense and pray to God for positive outcome. Don't do anything that will paint a picture of desperation to the VOs. They have your admission, and quite aware of the date of resumption. So, I suggest you leave them to do their work, since you have passed medicals. I waited for 7 week plus 3 days after passing medicals. It indeed had a slight impact on my health, but I controlled myself. The suspense is very normal. Be preoccupied with something else while also checking and praying. It shall end well for you IJN.

If in desperate need of USD ... jus go to federal palace hotel cos the truth is that the currency is relatively 'scarce'.... you won't realise until you need it!
For flight... mail me when you are ready. Although the advise now is to make 'after xmas' travel plans to still get the fair/cheap deals.
Regards

Thank you my brother o, very grateful. Someone is working on the ticket for me now, but I still need your email in case I need help along the line. Anytime I want to change the dollar, I will go to the location you suggested, thanks

My dear, I'm filling IMM 1294. How much did you fill in the following..
Tuition, Room and Board, and others.

Sorry for replying a bit late, it depends on your school tuition, I think room and Board should be 10k, plus about 5k. Add these to your tuition and sum up.

1. I didn't use sponsor, I have a grant ($17500/yr) for 2yrs from my supervisor,
2. I didn't pay any fee, it wasn't required
3. I stood as my sponsor with a bank statement of 6M
4. Didn't add assets
5. 6M

Documents submitted
1. CIC documents
2. Admission letter
3. Letter of grants (obtained from my supervisor)
4. SOP
5. Marriage certificate
6. Age declaration
7. NYSC discharge cert
8. Police report cert
9. Employment letter
10. Reference letter from employee
11. Degree certificate
12. Official fee schedule(obtained from UofM)
13. CV
14. Academic transcripts

Those are the documents I submitted

Abestine, sorry to hear you were denied after seemingly long wait, and despite this attractive grant. However, I still feel that the VOs were skeptical you would use the 6m in your account for the study. By the way, was the money from your salary income, or did you receive frm someone whose source you did not clarify in your SOP? With your total fee schedule standing between $27 and 37, 000 dollars, they felt the 17,500 grant was probably an average of all you needed. So, adding a sponsor with running income would have seen you through. If after the grant, the total expenses do not exceed about $3 to 4k, then you can self-sponsor with just 1 to 2 million naira. But 6 million without continuous income would raise doubts as to veracity of your self-sponsor claim, especially given the fact that you did not add assets. Do not also forget that you are a family man as indicated by you marriage certificate. Therefore, you should at least let them know how your family would fare in your absence, either by including your child/ren birth certificate if any, and your wife employment letter to show she can take care of your family in your absence. The VOs think more that we do. My simple thoughts. Thanks.
