We all agree that majority of our leaders are greedy, self-centered, amoral, unethical and unpatriotic individuals. But they were once a mere followers like you and i. We can write all the criticism of the world often based on tribal, religious and political biases, but our leaders are a reflection of us. If we are really serious on turning the page in our beloved country and usher in change, here is a humble request to every Nigerian. 1. Don't throw garbage on the roads/streets 2. Don't spit or urinate on roads and walls 3. Don't write on walls and currency notes 4. Don't abuse and insult others, rather, be patient, tolerant and controlled 5. Save water and electricity 6. Plant a tree 7. Obey traffic rules 8. Honour and take care of your parents and grandparents , take their blessings and always respect them 9. Respect women 10. Give way to ambulances 11. Treat your neighbour in the way you would want to be treated (with respect) 12. Do not seek for corners to cut in anything you do 13. Be intentional in honesty and integrity 14. Fear God in a way that is demonstrated in your lifestyle 15. Respect every individual, regardless of race, religion, tribe or status, we are all God's creations 16. Always seek to be part of the solution and not the problem 17. Grab every opportunity to be kind and helpful, do it other will follow suit. 18. Be conscious of setting a good example for younger ones 19. Be content and grateful for what you have more than lamenting over what you lack 20. Be proud of being a Nigerian by focusing on the positives and acknowledging that God does not make mistakes 21. Stop justifying corrupt, amoral and unethical behaviors, irrespective of your political identity or affiliation. 22. Stop believing everything you read online. Apply logic and reconfirm stories before sharing them. 23. Condemn corruption in all ramification even if it involves your interest. 24. Stop the tribal and religious bigotry, you have nothing to gain from it. We are only predisposed to them because we were raised in such tribe and religious faith. 25. Stop senseless sentiments, bias and prejudice. (How has your kinsman in government affected your life positively. Greed and corruption is indiscriminate of tribe or religion) 26. Stop deifying religious leaders, you can worship God without them. They are controlling your mind with threats and promise of good life only if you deify them. Apply logic to whatever they tell you. 27. Stop being verbally abusive online or in political discourse. It's a sign of immaturity and low emotional intelligence. Respect alternative perspective to issues, you may disagree respectively without malice. 28. Resist negative energies, it only attract negativity to you. Be happy for others' success. 29. Remember that celebrities are always promoting themselves in a positive light to be in the news. Stop trying to be them. Cast a niche for yourself too. 30. Be truly patriotic about your country, stop disparaging your country, you've got no other one. *We need to change ourselves and not the country. Once we change ourselves the country will automatically change* If we want our children to live in a clean, safe and prosperous environment, then pledge to follow these pointers in your everyday life. No one person or leader can change the country alone; it's you and I who can change our beloved nation, by changing ourselves! Kindly forward this important message to every single friend or group so that it reaches every citizen of Nigeria . Thanks and God bless. COPIED |
Majority of Nigerians are liars, the ruled and the rulers. Bogus allegations without proof. |
baliyubla:No he didn't. That is what you were told. It doesn't make it true. |
jojo1415:....yet you still can't spell "Right" correctly! |
How did you come into the mix? What is your own and who are you to tell me what to boycott? |
Did they adjourn the day's pay too? Imagine your colleague dies at work and your office closes because of that. This is a huge joke! Bunch of lazy kleptomaniacs! |
CilicMarin:Kingsley Moghalu is not Igbo enough for them, so they have lined up behind Atiku the more Igbo man. Politically irrelevant bunch. Their block votes cannot make or mar any candidate. Children of hate! Mtchew! |
Nigeriaaaans! Why apply to a school when there is no means of paying? How is he going to pay for subsequent semesters? Keep doing social media begging? |
Teargas are made to disperse public nuisances. I hope the teargas pepper their eyes well. Imagine PDP protesting rigging. Awon babnla riggers! |
Awon weere! |
Yet, you all come here to criticize corrupt politicians! No wonder, majority of Nigerian youths cannot spell or construct simple sentence. They even lack mental faculty to make logical reasoning! Nigeria is finished, the present youths are dummies that cheat their way to the silly paper they carry about as certificates. They only understand Religious and tribal bigotry. Awon "olodo rabata". |
IPOB, PDP....this is uppercut for una! We're smarter than that in the SW. Yoruba nation, indivisible, united and progressive minded. |
When is the swearing in ceremony? |
Kido Melaye just have a awful fashion sense! Meanwhile, e no get ticket to contest anywhere! |
OLEdepo! IROdepo!!...abegi! make we hear word. Una don beat this prediction fraud to stupor, we don't believe your lying a$$ again. Mention names and dates if you are indeed truthful. |
KanwuliaExtra:We go soon deport you to your underdeveloped village in the east. Dey there dey run your mouth! |
Ambode rode on this Tinubu's back to the Lagos state government house, the back is not just available to him any longer. If Ambode has indeed done really well for the people, i am sure they will be with him and fight to rescue him from Tinubu. It's the PEOPLE that voted not Tinubu. Fashola also had issues with Tinubu but the people were solidly behind him. |
IPOB wailers are like rats jumping around putting their mouth in everybody's business. What is their business in Ekiti, Osun, and Lagos issues? They followed Fayose, FFK, Ajobiewe to grave...they are for anything detrimental to any other part of Nigeria. They hate Hausas but can support Saraki, Atiku, Tambuwal etc because they are anti-Buhari. Meanwhile, none of them have questioned why there isn't one single Igbo man contesting in PDP? They can't even collectively back Kingsley Moghalu. If Ambode gets booted out tomorrow, go adopt him as your president in Biafra land. Ndigbo look beyond hatred of other tribes. You are the most backward politically in this country. |
....and you will expect such politician to embark on developmental project? of course he will loot to recover his money when in power. The people are their own worst enemy. By the way the party LG chairmen are so cheap...aren't those 1996 Camry? |
At least folks should eschew sentiment and bias, and apply common sense before giving any credence to stories like this? Even if the white handkerchief screening report is true, will the thugs follow them to the polling booth? Did the picture prove anything? just some guy on bike and another one holding stuffs. TheCable, Sahara Reporter, Premium Times are all making a mockery of journalism. |
Well, i wouldn't expect "Ajobiewe" that was graded F9 in English language to know the meaning of "coup"! Next? |
Why do people just make up story and post? |
He shouldn't be too lazy to go read the electoral rule that warranted the inconclusive declaration. Willful ignorance is no excuse. |
Maybe internet shouldn't have been made available to Nigerians. They abuse everything they lay their hands on. The rate at which fake news is being peddled is unbelievable. The gullible consumers too can't think logically, they just jump to their keyboards and start responding with emotion. |
KO baba! you av yamutu Oluya andalatenuje Dele Momodu. ![]() |
He'll be better off if you hire him as one of your dancers. it's his natural skill. |
Praise the loooordd! Dr Doyin "Bastard" Okupe finally finds a job! He don shout taya for twitter! |
I went through the comments after this story, it's clear that majority didn't finish reading the story or understand the context of what our erudite VP is saying. All they can offer is childish verbal abuse. It saddens me that this generation of young Nigerians have willfully kept themselves uninformed and largely ignorant. |
That is why there is an election. The electorate will decide. Case closed! |
Continue to abuse-away your life without doing something active & productive. You guys will be making senseless noise on social media while the politicians continue to recycle themselves and their family into leadership positions to loot away your life and that of your living and unborn children. The outlier in them (Buhari), a man with rare integrity that is not avaricious like the others is who you choose to be your enemy. Keep acting your stupidity. |
Don't believe everything you see in the movies, there is a reason it is called "make-believe". You dey there dey form "Tom Cruise". You don know how far now! |
Nothing your hate can do, Buhari will be your president until 2023. Ipobians should continue their woes and cries, they are in for a long thing. Cry me a River ![]() |
