We all want to hammer and be successful, there is nothing wrong with that.

You can mistakenly come across money, but you can't mistakenly build wealth.

Slow and steady wins the race

This your picture message describes my Baber, warned him against MMM, guy was adamant and he lost all. He somehow picked up again then I do warn him periodically about online ponzies because I will see him glued to his phone trying to cash out big, he neglected his barbing business so people hardly patronise him. If I ask him how is business , his responses are always I'm doing fine now, with my biitc and online tradings I have been able to get more than a thousand folds of what I lost in mmm, in my mind I will say but this guy keeps getting malnourished, at a time I avoided having my hair cut from him cos I thought he might have contracted some kind of STDs because the weight loss was so glaring.

Fast forward to today, he was barbing my hair when a woman (his neighbour) came in and was pleading with me to help him that to eat is a big problem for him n his family, I was Like jeez but I kept quiet, I rapport with him friendly to avoid getting him more depressed by rebuking him but didn't either ask why he kept lying or what Ponzi scheme took away his sweat this time, he showed me some loan shark trying to get Their money back from him. I gifted him some money and told him good bye.

Some people never learn from Thier past mistakes or learn from people that fail around them, they choose to use themselves as experiments to test the water and sometimes not lucky to come out from such grievous mistakes

It's not what you have that make you successful but what you keep adding to what you already possessed that makes you stand out

Got the same information from Stanbic IBTC Bank.

Lagos State bond is also on

Lagos state bond is a ten year tenure, I'm not cool with long times bonds for now. I've learnt and added three new businesses since rates nosedived, thanks to the FG for the eye openings, so the scheme for me is to keep funds in money market so as to be liquids, you invest 5% on a new business, you increase your stakes as you master the business terrain then eventually kiss fixed deposits good bye or retain little % in it, as nothing pay you as great as good businesses do

Hello house, what is your opinion on Dangote cement Commercial Paper offer below? It is something one can consider, any risk involved in CP. Thanks

Dear Valued Investor,

We are pleased to inform you that the Series 1, 2 and 3 Commercial Paper issuance (“CP or the “Issuance”), under the recently established Dangote Cement PLC (“Dangote Cement”) NGN150 billion CP Issuance Programme is now open and scheduled to close on Wednesday, 24 November 2021."

Good rates,I bought some last year and all went well. Would have loved to buy some now but I doubt if time is on my side, considering how long it could take for me to have my funds retrieved from stanbic money market, pretty bad the closing period is always short.

Yes, I use it too. The best way to redeem/withdraw money from them is by e-mailing. Once your KYC is verified, no Wahala. They will send the money to the account you gave them while opening the account on your request after their confirmation.

It's been three weeks now I sent my documents via the apps and email ( up to five emails) to united capital,no response nor acknowledgment. I wonder what will become of me if I need help redeeming my funds. Phone numbers not connecting, but managed to get ahold of them this Friday through WhatsApp, hope to get things sorted out soon but my trust with them kinda shaky

With your Eurobond funds and other mutual fund investments with United Capital, you can get loans up to a maximum of N100 million

Great, @ what percentage do they give the loan? I'm looking forward to getting a 10m facility from them. I will be switching my mutual funds account from stanbic to them as stanbic rates seems mockery these days

I had a smooth one with dangote cement last year, though at a poor rate (5%).

Can one buy into this with Fbnquest? Ps. I doubt I can even meet up with the closing day, repatriating funds from Stanbic money market could be time consuming.

Got that from investment house, its a commercial paper which is like Tbills but issued by cooperate organisation to raise fund just like govt do with Tbills. Always having tenor of less than 364 days and minimum of 5m, the rate here is 12.3% for 270 days which is awesome compared to recent history. Last week we had one for 11.56%. Basically commercial papers have been saving men since the slump of Tbills only problem it doesn't have a calendar so always keep cash in view for the kill. Apart from the gamble, I like this brand of investment. Company rating is very important though, I can't speak more on that as I lack basic authorization but I strongly believe that the authorities wouldn't let them float if not with potentials of paying back.

[quote author=emmanuelewumi post=103369732]I can say the percentage of good tenants after 2 years stay is less than 30%, the percentage reduces to 10% after 6 years. The will become the chief tenants that will lead Aluta and unionism in the house...

This could be very frustrating, I'm currently facing this issue in my house. The day I went there to serve one of them quit notice, they all ganged up and refused to open gate for me. The chief tenant there is a lawyer who has been in the house for 15 years now, he's the one giving the other tenants unsolicited advice on how to deal with me. I think he's having the feeling that he owns the house having stayed for a long period , being street wise has been helpful but it's damn stressful and doesn't worth it, I don't wish to get involved in real estate in the nearest future.

I guess you are suffering from anxiety, if after every checks are OK then be rest assured you are suffering from anxiety. The bad news you've been exposed to are actually playing games in your head, stop googling your symptoms if you don't have the heart, because one symptom can mimic multiple illness.

Now you will say it's not anxiety because all the pains you feel are real, yes anxiety can make them appears real and if not well addressed might comes to reality. The more you take your mind off from dying the more you enjoy good health. Eat well, don't eat like someone that's suffering from a terminal diseases, exercise well, then sleep well( 7/8 hrs daily, afternoon nap is good too). There is a drug for anxiety, I don't want to mention it here, meet with your doc.

Cut down your sugar intake and junk foods , check for ulcer and acid reflux. Pay attention but Stop checking your heart rate every now and then, you are accumulating fears that could ruin your health. You can't say because you are afraid of dying in your sleep then decide not to sleep, that even will bring death faster. Just free your mind, take new hobbies that will help you relax. If it persist, go for ecg/ eco test. You are young, go ahead and achieve your dreams and don't live in fear.

@emmanuelewumi. I like the picture quote: Strife to make money, live below your means, use extra money to make more money then repeat consistently. Prudent is the key and That brings me to my story.

I felt I needed to upgrade my car so I did. Anytime I'm driving it, I'm always super cautious in the hold ups because of the King of the roads, keke n the danfos, I don't behave edgy like this while driving my former car, I told my wife it seems I'm not financially fit to use this car because I'm overly careful while driving it, hate how I do scream don't hit me oo ,so I put it up for sale.

To my surprise it was sold withing two weeks with additional profit of 250k. Then I say to myself this seems like a business, I ordered for two more of the same brand ,park them in the compound then post the ads, boom barely three weeks both are sold with up to 650k profit, I've sold 12 in the course of eight months as I only do this with my spare time ,I never knew nigeria invest in automobile this much.

Note I only buy this same brand but the top notch n irresistible ones and someone somewhere is always willing to add 2/300k to get them back from me in no distant time. I bought dangote commercial paper some months back and it will take about 6 months to get 750k on that investments.

So if you can't afford or sustain a lifestyle discard it, also be open minded to possibilities around you.

If God give you a seed, don't share it as if it is harvest. Plant the seeds, so you can share harvest with your friends n family. Sharing seeds with your family is denying yourself and them from ever seeing the harvest. learn to distinguish what is in your hand if it is a seed to be invested or a harvest to be shared, Good evening fam

Piggyvest said they started operations as piggybank in 2016 but decided to change to the present name to give investors opportunity to do some themselves.

Their investments interests as was displayed there in their app is in Agriculture (Animal Husbandry; Cow and Chicken rearing, Cashew, rice and corn farms), Real Estates ( This one seem to be in the offing for now because nothing was displayed there, Transportation ( Packaged Okada like Play) etc.
All these investments are fully booked. I don't know if there are other areas they invest people's funds in. Anybody will be scared of non - registered "bank".

Personally after installing that app and trying to go through what they have to offer on other platforms, There have not satisfied my inquiries. They only thing I see people gunning after is high savings interest rates. So I will personally passover.

Like I see the house doing as usual. Trying to probe for truth to be revealed. It is a very good thing. Nobody is casting any aspersion on the fintech industry per say. Experienced people are just looking out for the newbie.

Some people have the financial muscle to loose ten million or even more and nothing will happen to them like Oga RayRay of MBA. That doesn't mean people should keep quiet and allow that man that made 2 million from block molding to venture into such business. It means the overall aim of this thread has been defeated.

Lol, I tell you o, that one nah suicide, if you carry blocks to gather funds only to be swept away by scammers. Our financial muscles diverse , eventhough I'm to invest the smallest fraction of my money , I will still ask questions and be super sure what I'm about to get myself involved. I hate that remorse feelings that comes after being played.

Nevertheless, when you are too afraid, you can't make headways. I would have made fortunes if I followed my wife advise as regards to B.itcoins, eventhough I saw the pictures I was too afraid to invest, but in all I'm content with what I have and that's all that matters. Being inquisitive should be encouraged here so as to help the novice.

Family / Re: 5 Nigerian Women Share Why They Regret Getting Married by Akin3891: 1:31pm On Feb 28, 2021
Klass99:

My classmate said something similar during a heart to heart conversation, where we were catching up after years of being out of touch and not seeing each other.

In her case, she said she hadn't even discovered herself nor really known herself when she got married, then the kids started coming and everything became about her hubby and kids, while her own wants, needs, aspirations and life pretty much faded into the background.

Another classmate said, she's tired of just being a mom and a wife, if she knew marriage was this way, she would have held off on it for some time and focused on herself, life and career before getting into it.

Amaka (the 2nd lady in the original post) wasn't off point when she said - you lose more than you benefit as a woman in marriage. I have seen this happen with my own cousin and another classmate who was such a bright and shining star in school. Nah 3 different classmates I dey reference here

I'm not against marriage but I think young girls/women should live a little, as in, live life by themselves, for themselves and on their terms for a while, before they venture into it.

I think when you do it too soon like right after college or during uni, it's as if your life gets taken over by hubby and kids, before you've actually had a chance to live and discover you a bit.

Then it also feels like you are mostly told what to do all your life and decisions are made for you by others, when you go straight from daddy's house to hubby's house.
There was no break and no chance at all, to do you and make independent decisions of your own without being overruled.

What I have learnt generally is that an early marriage does not guarantee happiness, neither does a late one. Just do you and do the things that bring joy and happiness into your heart.

How abou yours experience? Do you have any, are you married? Don't let their experience discourage you about marriage , to each his own.

While some ladies regret getting married early, some career ladies regret not getting married early because after acquiring wealth and fame, and because of age limits nobody is showing genuine interest in them anymore except to steal what they have gathered . You can't eat your cake and have it back

Your N10 million invested in a 30 years bond at 15%, will give you a steady coupon of N1.5 million for 30 years. Even when N1.5 million losses it's value due to inflation, unlike an investor who got an annual dividend of N1.5 million from Zenith bank about 12 years ago who is currently getting a dividend of N6 million.

Same with rental income, the rent can't remain at N1.5 million for 30 years

Fact, but you have to put to work interest generated from bond to keep the balance. If you were offered a 15% bond for 30 years, what % of your total funds will you lock in and what will be your exit plans should inflation keep bitting hard?

It will take a year or thereabout for Treasury Bills to get to 10% and above, my opinion though.

I think one should also be on the lookout for long term bonds that can pay 15% and above

Yes long time bond is the way to go but we won't have favorable bond rates untill tbs rate increase significantly, I'm hoping rate could get to 6/7 before year ends.

As soon as I can secure at least 13% in a long time bond, I will opt out of tbs then launch my net with bonds. With long time bond, you save yourself the headaches that comes with high n low rates during economic crisis

Betting is a menace attacking our youth, imagine after making small money through a hard means then end up in a betting shop at night staking away your sweat, that has been the tales of the car wash boys in my office, they will wash cars in the sun all through the day then visit the betting shop at night looking for a quick cash then eventually lose the meagre they earned, so gullible.

Betting/gambling will make you miserable n a shadow of yourself, it's a strong spirit that will eventually drives you nut.
