Michky: Very true (50%). Yes, Akin (Nairabet) has his disadvantages, i believe he also has his advantages over many foreign bookies (especially as regards Nigerians). i.e non-verification, standard 11 markets for most matches etc. Many of those that go to foreign bookies still lose their cash. Infact, point me a bookie without a disadvantage and lets tackle it out. However, With a good system, one can make it anywhere, whether local/foreign bookies. Although, lets be frank with ourselves. Nairabet's markets aren't many enough. Also, its not only nairabet that does vfl. Even foreign bookies do. Presently, am still maintaining an active account with nairabet and my cash is growing day by day. Akin, keep the good job going. Just add more markets for the boys. Plus, most of your markets only give you the advantage over punters. I won't blame you sha. Everyone goes into business to make profit. It is well.

However, regarding the bolded part of your post, i said 50% because there are certain bookies that i'll advice you never to ever ever go near. They'll only finish your cash with their tricks. There's one common one that offers lay betting in Nigeria. Y'all should know who am talking about cos they're the only one doing lay betting presently in Nigeria. Mehn, with their tricks (when you win, they return your bet. They continue this till you lose concentration and start playing without caution). Many other bookies play unfair aswell. I have not however noticed any unfairness with Nairabet till date. I think its worth praising.
Very objective. Thanks.

abbeynism: That's good of you brother. I have spent years being a die hard fan of Oluyole Warriors. I have travelled with them for away matches when I was in Ibadan. Always a great team. These team can only get better by supporting them and watching their matches at the stadium.

Nigeria league is the future of Nigeria football if well managed. keep the ball rolling.
Absolutely.

Stephen Keshi proved to the whole world that there will always be good players in the local league.

samnazarit: True Talk! But Sir, I knew nothing about Motosport last year, we shouldn't just be lazy, Football Markets are so wide that you cannot xplore it all o. Go and ask Nairabet, nobody taught them before they dropped some markets on Motosport last year, 'I really chop my share there'.... They(Nbet) can't repeat such markets anymore....
When una wan kill us nko? On motorsport alone we were paying out about 10m daily. We wan die.

Trachea: Growing up in Ibadan in the nineties, you cannot but support the shooting stars. Anytime there is a match, the atmosphere in ibadan is always electric. especially around the stadium. Thanks to the op for this thread. Am going to follow this thread seriously. Pls do anybody know where i can get authentic 3sc jerseys to buy. Up Up Up ssssooooootiiiiiinnnng. Won ni were.
The nineties was fantastic. We won the maiden edition of CAF cup in 1992 in Felix Owolabi's last season. We were unfortunate not to win the Champions Cup in 1996 losing on penalties to our nemesis, Zamalek.

You are right about the atmosphere. You no go find bus for Saturday afternoon if sootin dey home.
SportsRe: Shooting Stars Of Ibadan (Oluyole Warriors) Fan Thread! by akinalabi(m): 8:28am On Mar 11, 2013
gbosaa: Pls why do people call them ..sooting..instead of shooting stars?.i saw sooting/sutin and thought it was mistakes till i noticed lot of people spelling same(sooting).
It has to do with the Ibadan accent. Core, uneducated people in Ibadan cannot pronounce "sh". If we want to say "shoe" we say "soo". If we want to say "shell" we say "sell".

So shooting becomes sooting. So even if you know the real pronunciation, you can't help but identify with the core fans of decades ago.
SportsRe: Shooting Stars Of Ibadan (Oluyole Warriors) Fan Thread! by akinalabi(m): 8:22am On Mar 11, 2013
Up sooting. I'm a lifelong fan.

BusinessRe: Is There Any Online Business I Can Do With My Phone? by akinalabi(m): 3:00pm On Jan 10, 2013
leverage12: bros I understand what you are saying, but it all depends on how you understand and see it. To me online info marketing is under internet marketing, I remembered very well when Just started my internet marketing business and all I did was to invite my facebook friends and use facebook group, I also invited people from other facebook group in same niche, and I did it all with my phone and cyber café. I was able to make some cash there because I had good info to market. Online trading or betting like betonmarket and football betting or other kind of betting are not businesses and thats why I call them trading. I know there are lots of people that lose from online trading, but there are still those that live by it. Those that bet are gamblers, while those that trade are called traders, because they have systems they follow and thats why I said with right knowledge and capital the guy can start small and build it to something reasonable. Cheers
You used a phone and a cyber cafe. What did you use at the cyber cafe? Wasnt it a computer? I didnt say he must buy one. I said he must use one.
BusinessRe: Is There Any Online Business I Can Do With My Phone? by akinalabi(m): 12:14am On Jan 09, 2013
maxibrainz: would you purchase the laptop for him, he has no money for that, that the reason he asked if he can use his mobile phone. Laptops are not as cheap as mobile phones with #3000 you can get a good browsing 2nd phone but you cant get even a 5th hand laptop for that price.
The price of a laptop is not the point. The fact is that he cannot do an Internet business with a phone. He has to find a way to get a computer or he looks for another kind of business.

Zither: Maxibrainz, so true. Mr Akinalabi made a good suggestion too but the fact is not all can afford a laptop for business purposes. One who cannot afford a computer should not wait in vain to acquire one before embarking on online business. Such person should begin wherever they are at the present moment and forge ahead step by step. Maxibrainz, I would much appreciate if you send the details of sport betting to my email - plutokite@gmail.com. thanks in advance.
Is sports betting a business? Its a business for the bookies and not for the punters.

leverage12: you are right bros. But the OP can still start with information marketing and online trading like betonmarket and football betting. I believe with the right knowledge and capital he can start earning some cash before he buy a laptop, but if the case may be that he can't do without a computer, he can start by using the cyber café. I believe that will be cheaper. God bless and help us all. Amen.
There is a difference between information marketing and an Internet business. If you are talking about running an information marketing business online, how will he set up his websites, ad campaigns etc. He should find a way to use a computer.

Betonmarket and sports betting are not businesses.

AdvertsRe: Football Betting: Nairabet Vfleague by akinalabi(m): 2:06pm On Jan 08, 2013
naijabet: VFLeague Virtual Football League (

The virtual football trading software is an organised software with most features of a normal football season. Taking Virtual football League as a point of reference, the VFLeague consists of 16 teams and 30 matchdays in which all teams play both home and away legs with each other. These teams are named after prominent places in europe, for example: VFL Amsterdam, VFL Berlin, VFL London, VFL Zagreb, VFL Madrid and so on.

Each match in the VFLeague lasts for 2 minutes which covers both the first and second half. The VFLeague has a window for match statistics, fixtures and analysis. the Statistics windows displays past meetings, tables, results, past league standings, etc. Nairabet VFLeague season lasts for two hours with eight matches on each matchday.

Placing Bets on Nairabet VFLeague

Bets can be placed on every single matchday on the VFLeague. However, sixty seconds is given before every matchday to place bets but bets must be placed in approximately 45 seconds before the start of a new match. The Prematch timer does the count down so punters must place their bets before the timer gets to 10 seconds.

Bet categories in the VFLeague include

1 x 2 (Home win 1, Draw X, Away win 2)

Handicap

Under/Over Goals

Which Team will score the first goal

Correct score

Contact me if u need an ebook that explains the VFLeague
You gave a decent summary of how the VFL works but you got the time wrong. You can place bets even 30 minutes before a game.

Select a future match day so you can give yourself ample time.

legalwealth: Thanks Mr Akin Alabi.

I'm not saying that they can't operate it with Nigeria IP or any other IP but what I'm talking about in here is the initial setup after which any IP can be used for it.

USA Clickbank even using CLICKBANK doesn't work for Nigerians anylonger as Tax ID will be requested for.

Ok?
My brother, you can open it with any IP. They dont care.
AdvertsRe: Discover What an Affiliate Marketing is with CLICKBANK taken as SAMPLE by akinalabi(m): 12:18am On Dec 07, 2012
You dont need to change your IP. All Clickbank needs is an address from an approved country they can send checks to. If you like browse from Nigeria or Combodia. E no consign dem.
WebmastersRe: Did Nairaland Just Dump Google Adsense? by akinalabi(m): 6:26pm On Sep 16, 2012
Maybe Seun dumped Adsense of Adsense dumped Seun. It does not matter.

What I know is that with smart marketing, this can turn out to be the best thing to happen in Seun's business career. He will make more money without adsense.

But I dont like the post saying you should send an email with your budget and so on. It sends a message that he is not sure how he will go about this.

State your fees and conditions. Better still, find a way to create your own pay per click business.

All the best.

We just saw Obasanjo in a boxing ring with Bovi.

I heard (cant confirm) that the late Yar Adua when he was Governor preferred to go and smoke at the aboki kiosk in front of the government house.

My friend, this is not what Nigerian leaders cant do. They do such all the time. Except you just enjoy bringing down anything Nigeria.

blink182: Oga Akin, please add more leagues to your site and more live matches, I am really proud of what you have done and giving foreign sites a run for their money. From the days where it was just 1X2 bets to what it is today, you can do better. Please add more leagues. Like today, I can't find a league in Germany, Sweden and some other countries. Just match bet3.65 in services.
Thanks a lot for being a loyal customer. I have contacted our support and they will get back to me. Once they do that, I will get back to you. Cheers.
