We love being sensational without asking questions. Maybe they are running ads. My FB ad budget is $100 a day. Roughly 6 million a year. |
There is no straight answer to this. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. The main advantage of building is you can do it at your pace financially. You can do it in 5 years if that is what is convinient. To buy, most likely you have to out together a lump sum. But there is a problem with building especially if you live in Lagos. Your contractors and builders will rob you blind. There is no other way around this. If you like go to the market yourself or put a mai guard on your site. You will spend about double the amount. Its that bad. Buying too can be a problem expecially of the developer is shady. Some developers will use sub standard material and your house will start falling apart as soon as you move in. For those talking about taste, I dont know the kind of taste you have but with good money, you will certainly find your taste. When you see some houses that is when your taste will improve. ![]() My submission is if money is not a problem, buy a house but you have to consider the following. - The track record of the developer - Take an independent builder and maybe a quantity surveyor to give you their assesments |
Get a GTB VISA card (denominated in dollars) or a Zenith Web surfer mastercard. Amazon will ship your books to Nigeria |
medjai:He should be ashamed of himself for scoring the penalty duties assigned to him? ![]() |
omo9ja1:You spoke my mind. I read it over and over again (went to the link) and still cant make head or tail what this is about. I'm actually trying to decode the meaning through replies here. |
1. Register a company. A business name is ok. 2. Go to the National Library. If you are in Lagos, it is in Yaba. Go there to submit your desired name. You will be called after about 2 weeks to let you know if your name is good to go. 3. Go ahead and print the maiden edition. Vol 1 No 1. 4. Take 3 copies to the National Library with your application for ISSN and your money. It costs less that N10,000. You will be told to come back for your ISSN. 5. Get on with your business. When the ISSN is ready, you can put it on your paper. Now that is the legal aspect. Contents, production, distribution and marketing na anoda ball game. Good luck. |
WAVixen:Did you say fatal? |
Advertising over and over and over again. Never base the success of your company on a search engine. 100 years ago, it was advertising Today it is advertising In 100 years, it will be advertising |
I buy books from Amazon regularly. They ship books to Naija |
24volts:My Cerato is perfect. Two years next month. Over 35,000 km. |
Hey mancs. Great start to the season. I loved the pace, fluency and rythm of our boys in the second 45 yesterday. I wonder why Obertan didnt cut it at OT. I believe he's got the ability. Maybe confidence. . . Dunno |
Too much storm in a tea cup. The law requires him to declare and that is what he has done. The law does not require him (kindly correct me if am wrong) to say in 1999 I bought so so shares etc. If anyone or any body or agency feels he has lied about the declaration they are free to take him up. Also, if anyone or any agency feels his wealth was ill gotten, he can be taken up on it. |
They should finish the road for me first |
Personally, I thought he was worth more than this. . . ![]() I once met someone (close to him) who talked about the huge money he made with Network Pet Now, I dont know if the business deals were illegal or not but the chap has made good money over the years. 292 million is chicken feed jare. Then I need to ask this question. . . Does decalration of asset entail explaining how you got the assets? I thought it was about revealing ALL you've got without adding or removing. |
What about those of us that did not attend a university at all? |
All of them (apart from Abacha) are better than GEJ ![]() Seriously, Was on 3rd mainland bridge today. A Babangida regime project. If GEJ can do things the man on the street can feel. Like Lagos Ibadan road etc |
targus:Sure as hell |
jumobi1:Yes he can. |
An advice to all those interested. Deal with Lawyer with peace of mind. You're in safe hands. |
I've thought long and hard about how we can stop Barca but I'm yet to come out with a way. What keeps coming to my mind however is do we have the players and ability to trouble them at the back? While I'm not suggesting we shouldnt do anything to contain them, I suggest we should look at how we can trouble them at the other end. We can have a high score game and who knows who will come out tops? It shouldnt be all about how to stop them. They must worry about how to stop us as well. I know to a lot of people, this sounds naive but we have seen over and over again teams who all they do is try to contain Barca. They got beat at the end of the day. I hail all man o. |
If your stuffs are not duty free, you will pay for them. Thats normal to me. |
@ beaf, Why the sudden courting of Fashola? Isnt this the same man you categoricaly stated that YOU HAVE LOST ALL RESPECT FOR? That you called an ID!OT? |
jason123:Nothing will happen my friend. Nothing. NADA. |
The PDP crises has really helped ACN. The PDP votes were split into two |
Making things look like ACN is getting popular because of Fashola is totally wrong. When PDP was rolling over the south west in 2003, Tinubu stayed strong and could not be eroded. Was it because of Fashola. When ACN was formed and he left office and he imposed Fashola, there was a lot of noise and critics like you had a field day. Fashola defeated Koro, how did it happen? Did Fashola have any sort of popularity then? It was all Tinubu. Aregbesola taking over in Osun (through the courts) was it because of Fashola's popularity as well? We can see Tinubu's hand all over the place. Now the incumbency has heped in Osun. My friend, we love Fashola but Tinubu is the grand master. |
When are they going public? I need their shares badly. |
stagger:Whaow! What a mindset. |
Dont lets get this twisted. . . Not all of these shows are expensive. The ones hosted at the new expo hall are the expensive ones. You dont have to go. We've seen 7up host Akon, TUFACE etc for FREE. We've seen other comedy and musical shows at cheaper venues for N1,000 to N3,000 Because the most poular ones held at the expo hall et all are expensive does not mean whe should start castigating these people. It costs a lot to put together these shows. |
fstranger1:I agree. Just wasted precious time. |
I dont know how those links will change what my eyes saw ![]() People outside the Southwest tying the struggle to ethnic agenda? How did that change the PERSONAL experience I had? Were those articles talking about ALL the demonstrations and fights at ALL places? Did it mention the one we matched to at the 2nd mech Div in Ibadan and got beat by soldiers? This is a futile excercise. Enjoy yourself. Onward. . . |
Not sure why I will be needing google to look for what I witnessed. Not sure I need some links to remember battles with the police and army. Some of those battles, some folks didnt return home after being killed by the police. |
