martyns303: 1. She's just over reacting.
2. She's below 23
3. You guys don't have a really close family relationship.

I once went to visit my grandmom, she's ill so there were 5 of my relatives, all females in the house. I was the only guy. They all usually dress up in front of each other, don't know if they forgot a guy is now in the house. They still walk around the house nude. In a day I could be called to scrub 3 of their backs while they are having a shower. Funny thing is, it didn't even feel awkward, strange or weird cos of the close family relationship.
No be lie. I lived with some of my cousins some years ago. They will dress in my presence and only jokingly tell me to close my eyes o.

Jobs/VacanciesRe: The Over-hyping Of First Class Honours In Nigeria by akinladejo: 2:52am On Sep 02, 2014
SamSara01: Friday 5th of September will make it exactly 3 months I passed out of service. I'm a 1st class holder and the best graduating student of my department and faculty in a reputable public university in the south-west but I'm currently unemployed. Of course, my cause of worry does not major on being currently unemployed, but majors on how the hope of getting a job soon seems so deem. More worrying is how professionals, lecturers, friends, family and everyone else alike kept and keep singing to my hear how so easy it will be for people like me to secure not just a job but a very good job. As it is, I don't seem better off than someone who spent every single night at a night club while I was burying my head in books during my school days. How do I motivate an aspiring student who thinks what I'm carrying is the gateway to success? If this has been the tale of people like me, then 1st class honour has truly been over-hyped in Nigeria.

SirShymex: Honestly, I don't mind if my chic has a flat batty but looks like the chic in the picture below. As a guy, when you make up your mind to settle down with a chic, you need to always go after chics you're physically attracted to - that's how you can kill the spirit of cheating and being disloyal.

Basically, that's how I always play my game.

PoliticsRe: Could This Be What The Former Libya Really Looks Like? by akinladejo: 7:29am On Aug 13, 2014
acts about Libya under Muammar
Gaddafi
• There was no electricity bills in Libya;
electricity is free … for all its citizens.

• There was no interest on loans, banks
in Libya are state-owned and loans given
to all its citizens at 0% interest by law.

• If a Libyan is unable to find
employment after graduation, the state
would pay the average salary of the
profession as if he or she is employed
until employment is found.

• Should Libyans want to take up a
farming career, they receive farm land, a
house, equipment, seed and livestock to
kick start their farms –this was all for
free.

• Gaddafi carried out the world’s largest
irrigation project, known as the Great
Man-Made River project, to make water
readily available throughout the desert
country.

• A home was considered a human right
in Libya. (In Qaddafi’s Green Book it
states: “The house is a basic need of both
the individual and the family, therefore
it should not be owned by others.”)

• All newlyweds in Libya would receive
60,000 Dinar (US$ 50,000 ) by the
government to buy their first apartment
so to help start a family.

• A portion of Libyan oil sales is or was
credited directly to the bank accounts of
all Libyan citizens.

• A mother who gives birth to a child
would receive US $5,000.

• When a Libyan buys a car, the
government would subsidizes 50% of
the price.

• The price of petrol in Libya was $0.14
per liter.

• For $ 0.15, a Libyan local could
purchase 40 loaves of bread.

• Education and medical treatments was
all free in Libya. Libya can boast one of
the finest health care systems in the Arab
and African World. All people have
access to doctors, hospitals, clinics and
medicines, completely free of charge.

• If Libyans cannot find the education or
medical facilities they need in Libya, the
government would fund them to go
abroad for it – not only free but they get
US $2,300/month accommodation and car
allowance.

• 25% of Libyans have a university
degree. Before Gaddafi only 25% of
Libyans were literate. Today the figure is
87%.

• Libya had no external debt and its
reserves amount to $150 billion – though
much of this is now frozen globally.

PoliticsMy Life Is Now In Danger For Refusing To Perform For PDP – Lagbaja by akinladejo(op): 8:44pm On Aug 09, 2014
Recently, Lagbaja rejected the offer to perform at the grand finale of the Osun PDP Governorship election campaign which held at Osogbo and which was also used to host the President, Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, the musician has cried out that his musical shrine, “The Wonderland” has received too many august visitors in the last one week from the Department of State Security Service (SSS) and Armed Mobile Policemen on the instructions from order from above
They have continuously lay siege for Lagbaja and after a futile attempt to get him, has resorted to harassment and molestation of staff members of his company. Lagbaja, who spoke from the UK, said he has been away from Nigeria in the last 41days owing to performance he had in London and Canada.

He also claimed to have received threats to his life to either debunk the story published by some major newspapers in the country or face the music.

After conversation with his friend of over 15years who also happens to be a close ally of the President, the PDP National Secretariat promised to double his remuneration if he decided to return home from UK to perform and honour Mr. President in Osun State.

That his performance will further weaken the notion and belief in the residents of Osun that Omisore killed Bola Ige.

He however appealed to Nigerians to keep praying for him as he stands for Justice.

Christianity EtcRe: Does God Speak To You? How? by akinladejo: 4:57am On Aug 01, 2014
DrummaBoy: T-Mama, pls forgive my pasting this without much scriptural quotes. My bible softwares packed up and I am yet to download a new one.

When I became a Christian, I was continually intrigued by the "God told me" talk all around me. I begged God to speak to me too but... no show. One day I read a book by one practically unknown Anglican priest and after he explained how God speaks, I realized I had been hearing him all along and I didn't know it!

Hebrew1:1-2 - God had spoken to us through the prophets but today he speaks through his Son (paraphrase).

God speaks primarily through the bible. Christians are encouraged to read the bible and read it voraciously, as you do the capacity to hear God increases. Example: I marvel at how my baby can tell my voice or his mother's in a crowded room even after being away from him all day. He had spent time with us and could discern our voice.

Now practically. When the Christian knows the bible and has learnt to commit his ways to God, he begins to learn to make decision from a sanctified mind set, that is God leading him. Example: there is the option to begin an office romance or to work on an ailing marriage. Of course God is speaking to him to work on his marriage. Then comes the very rare one: the believer in prayer, in meditation, in reading the Word or by observing life events, a thought drops in his heart and he is certain it was not from his mind. He ruminates on the thought. He finds it deeply scriptural. He takes steps in that direction, it yields divine results: he realizes God had spoken to him. Example: God told Jeremiah to buy land in Israel that had gone to captivity, saying his nephew will come to offer it to him. When it happened, Jeremiah said now he knew God has spoken to him (Jeremiah 32:8b).

Hearing God is mostly By faith. The Christian will just believe that this is God speaking. Unfortunately, sometimes we make mistakes and that is why we should never say "God told me" it rather safe to say "I felt an impression". This is necessary so that what we claim to hear from God is not equated to the bible. What we hear is fallible. The bible is infallible. Whatever any man said God said, the bible has higher authority than it.

Recently a brother taught us the meaning of the words RHEMA and LOGOS. Many consider rhema as God speaking to us through scripture in the now. while logos is just the letter. In that study, we discovered this is untrue. Rhema and logos are synonyms and are used interchangeably for "word" in Greek (link to my thread in this: discovered its lost to Seun data loss). The implication is that God is not saying anything outside what he has said in the bible. When Christians read scripture and develop sanctified mindsets, the decisions they make in life will be by Gods leading. It will be as if God is speaking to them literally, everyday.

Finally, there is a great abuse of this concept of God speaking especially in charismatic circle. Even though God speaks, God is not talkative. So all this "God said..."; "Daddy said..." things are mostly errors and crafted to deceive the simple mind.

Get into the bible and hear God speak loudly to you. A brother will say to us "if you want to hear God speak, read the bible. If you want to hear God speak loudly to you, read the bible out loud"!

God bless you all.
Holy spirit of the living God speaks through u.Gbam!!!
