Mr. President sir, my advise is that you prove your critique wrong and use this case to purge the police of bad elements. Time to act is now. |
N50m for a man that was allowed to escape through carelessness. Is it the IGP that will pay the money or the hapless taxpayer? I belive the police needs a major restructuring. |
God bless Fashola. I support his call for withdrawal of soldiers 100%. |
Good ridance. |
Larmode should just face his job and avoid this distraction. This idea of using lie detector would fail the same electronic voting cannot work in Nigeria |
Osanobua! Is it the same Alams the ex-convict and international fugitive that we are talking about here and President Jonathan is not even ashamed to associate with him. Of course this means that very soon FDF will also make Tafa Balogun their BOT chairman. |
Congratulations to my incoming governor Capt. Wada. Please do serve our people with the fear of God and clean conscience. |
I do because we did not separate in quarrels. I do appreciate the relationship while it lasted. |
President Goodluck Jonathan yesterday failed to attend a forum of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) holding in Perth, Australia, where he was scheduled to outline Nigeria's mining potential, a development which was described as “mysterious” by a newspaper, The Australian. Jonathan was expected to take part in the Presidential Country Roundtables, specifically the Nigeria/Australia Mining Roundtable, but failed to show up. According to the newspaper, the non-appearance of the President, who is at the head of Nigeria's 120-man delegation, the biggest from any country, was more curious, given that he had “cut an imposing figure at the business forum all week.” There was no explanation for the President's failure to appear for two scheduled speeches. However, Jonathan's absence didn't stop Nigeria's delegation from going ahead with efforts to lure investors into the country. Mines and Steel Minister, Musa Mohammed Sada, spoke in place of the President. He advertised Nigeria as "the last frontier" for mineral exploration in West Africa. Sada told investors that with other "big-time mining companies" waking up to the potential in Africa and taking up substantial mining in neighboring countries, Nigeria wanted in on the action. "There is no scientific reason to say that such resources are not also existing in Nigeria, if not even better," he said. "We have also been endowed with the right quantities of these minerals." He said Nigeria had identified seven "world-class" commodities, including coal, iron ore and gold, adding that coal reserves were estimated at more than 2.7 billion tonnes, iron ore more than three billion and one gold find with an estimated 600,000 million ounces, according to the report. Sada assured investors that the government is initiating reforms to break down investment barriers in the country. With a delegation of 120 officials, we need no soothsayer to tell us that they've all gone for jamboree, thereby mixing pleasure with business. I think the country deserves an explanation when the President returns. |
Congratulations to the First Lady. People please let us stop all these blind criticisms and irrational arguments about the first family. |
This is good news. I implore the EFCC to pursue these cases to a logical conclusion ASAP. |
I did three years ago and I am still regretting the decision today. |
Another opportunity to squander resources. What happens to the previous probes that have been swept under the carpet? |
With 924 aids, all that is left for the Governor to do is wine, women and go to sleep. |
I am disappointed at M-Net decision over this issue. What if the management of Beat FM decided to sweep the case under the carpet which is most likely. Why must they rely on Beat FM investigation when they could have review the case independently and take appropriate decision. This is indeed setting a bad precedence and as for me I am done with Glo Naija sing programme. |
I am interested in buying a mini Android laptop and I need an advise on its performance in comparison with windows laptop especially in Nigerian environment. Please over to you the computer gurus. |
This is an unprofessional conduct and must be tried to a logical conclusion. But why were they given alcohol in the first place? I think this is a lesson to our big men that often hijack these policemen from their primary duties at the detriment of Nigerian. |
Here we go again but let him try it, dan wo lobi iya okere. |
Aunty Ngozi don't mind your detractors just be focused, Olorun a fun e se (the Lord is your help). |
That is how Nigeria has been running on auto-pilot without any accountability. In Yaradua tenure, unspent funds were returned to the treasury but now it is business as usual. I can only pray for Aunty Ngozi that 'Olorun a fun e se' (the Lord will help you to clear the rot in high places). |
It is high tide that glo review their relationship with Olisa as a judge on their Naija sing programme. Also I will advise 'Dewunmi to pursue this matter to logical conclusion. This type of battery of a colleagues is totally unacceptable. |
Leave Baba Iyabo alone, he is old and gradually becoming senile. |
Good report on power projects but it is not yet uhuru. Let them start new projects right away. I could recall that it was Obasanjo that started these projects they are completing. Obasanjo also built many of the power stations that currently serve the nation. Let President Jonathan complete these ones, start his own power projects and complete them before leaving in 2015 so that he can at least point to something after his tenure. |
Omg. I am ashamed of Nigeria, that after 50 years of Independence we are just talking of launching a database for vehicles in Nigeria. Are there no records for vehicles plying Nigerian roads? What about the population census data? For how shall we continue to waste resources counting this or that. God help our governments. |
Oro pesi je. |
Then let them (Patience and Goodluck Jonathan) publicly declare their assets and liabilities before and after assuming office as Deputy Governor, Governor, Vice-President and President. |
It is because marriage is for better for worse. In addition, in Yoruba culture it is called 'Dalemosu' which is often considered as a taboo. The affected family is also stigmatized. |
Even though employers of labour would prefer First class or 2-1 candidate, the fact remains that 2-2 is an average score which means the candidate is good ceteris paribus. However, the best thing to do is to pursue a postgraduate programme. I work in a University and it may interest you to know that many of the lecturers in Nigerian Universities graduated with 2-2. |
![]() I am advising the government to mount a vigorous 'Life is Sacred' campaign throughout Nigeria because the generality of our people don't value the right of fellow citizens to life. |
I now believe that the Devil has finally taken over the Christ Embassy organisation. I have always had my reservation about that "church", but I am now fully convinced. Please forget the 'miracles' and 'sweet sermons' delivered by their charismatic pastors. Why dabble into such such a controversial wedding without resolving the grey areas. I think CAN should comment on this, over to you Pastor Oritshejafor. |
I actually support handing over the governance of the entire nation to foreigners. Perhaps we may have some respite from our multifarious problems in Nigeria which have defiled local solution. |
Is it right for Local Government Chairmen/Caretaker Committee to use state fund to sponsor religious programmes? This issue is now very common during this Ramadan period with statement like: "The Ramadan sermon you are about to hear is sponsored by X Local Government". Somebody should please educate me. |
