A classical example of reinventing the wheel. |
What is the role of Nigerian Electricity Regulation Commission NERC in all this mess. What are regulating? Or has IBEDC settled them? |
I wish to report the ongoing fraud about IBEDC Meter Upgrading Fraud. I purchased a meter token online on 22nd September, 2023 which failed to load on my meter with an error code “CrError”. Thinking the challenge has to do with the online platform, I went to the IBEDC Office in Lagere, Ile-Ife on 14th October, 2023 to purchase another token which also failed to load and with the same error code “CrError”. So far, I have purchased a total of N3,000 tokens without being unable to load them. I returned to IBEDC Office to raise a complaint on the matter and was told to do a KCT upgrade and I was issued two KCT codes to load on my meter. After loading the KCTs codes, I tried loading my tokens but they failed again with an error code “Old”. Whatever that means! I went back to IBEDC office in Lagere, Ile-Ife to the Customer Care Unit to complain about the new challenge and to my surprise they had no solution to the problem. I was told that I would need to migrate from Meter to Direct connection as a condition of addressing my complaint. This is fraud. Why will IBEDC start a meter upgrade project that is not working and now forcing customers to abandon their meter for direct connection. I repeat IBEDC is a fraudulent organisation. Now what happens to my N3,000 spent in purchasing the tokend? This is criminal. I call on National Assembly and the Nigerian Electricity Regulation Commission (NERC) to save us from NEPA/IBEDC exploitations. |
You have a point but have ask yourself why the bank kept paying out the same old notes throughout the 3 months period. In other word you deposit old notes and get back old. Savedday2: |
Nigeria is almost irredeemable. What manner of system are we running that makes it possible for a public officer to steal that much? Where are the checks and balances or is it that everyone is a thief except me? |
Well with this scenario, I am afraid that your father is not under any obligation to bequit you any property. |
Please stop mentioning Osibanjo name because the request was rejected by FEC meeting and the Chairman of FEC is Buhari who must take responsibility even when absent at meetings Truthisunique2: |

Woe to you, O land whose king is a youth, and whose princes feast in the morning (Ecclesiastes 10:16). |
This normally happens when prizes have been instituted for a long time and have lost their value over time due to inflation. What the institution should do is to either phase out the prize or request the donor to upgrade the prize with the economic reality. |
Beggars now have a choice. |
Good initiative from Glo. This is what the blockheads in Abuja could never contemplate. |

These officers just retired for god sake. They needed a break. This certainly must be the condition given to the President to finally leave and let go his ball. |
More like a prostitute who never had sex. |
There is nothing to be grateful for in this. The fact still remains that abberant character like LGBT is a sign of failed parenting and family values. Parents with such kids should really be ashamed having make a shipwreck of their kids life. |
The OP should please clarify. Is it EFCC or ICPC? I'm aware EFCC is strictly set up for financial crime unlike ICPC and Police that are empowered to handle all forms of crime. |

The proper terminology is 'makeshift lab' not 'mobile lab'. Mobile lab would mean it can be moved on wheel but what I am seeing is not designed as such. |
We only have political doctors and professors in Nigeria who are currently on strike. joshjc: |
I hereby recommend Don Jazzy for induction into the Philanthropic Hall of Fame. I am not sure we have such honour in Nigeria but I think it is desirable. |
The Federal Government should come and assist Osun State at this stage because the State is not as buoyant as Lagos and FCT to handle the rising number of covid 19 cases in the State |
Wow that is a significant donation from an individual. God bless you sir. I think Dangote should be ashamed with his 'paltry' donation, being the richest man in Africa. He had better review his donation for posterity sake |
I am surprised that while other countries have been reporting their cases in geometric proportion, ours has been in arithmetic proportion. It's either the grace of God is sufficient for us or something is not adding up. |
Demanding bribe has become a culture of all the Committee of the legislature whenever they are on the so called oversight duty. They expect the host agency to fully fund their convenience and grease their palm even when they have paid their due allowance by the national assembly. In fact, I feel strongly we should scrap one of the two arms of our bicameral legislature for Nigeria to move forward. |
What has he been waiting for all these day. A good example of a lawless judge. |
asuustrike1:Please get my point right, let us create institutions and regulations that work. Why should the President of a country be presiding over meeting to approve establishment of private universities. They may as well begin to approve establishment of private companies. Why not just create an enabling environment and allow the NUC do it work. |
This idea of the Federal Executive council approving private universities is weird since they are not being funded by the government. Are there no more urgent economics issues to discuss. Government should just cede this approval to the NUC and focus more state matters. |
