^ ^ lol Pick and choose has never been this picky and choosy. The bible can say whatever you want it to say. |
He got banned severally and got tired of re-registering. He was simply a nuisance. |
Whatever you do, don't make any decisions against your conscience. I subscribe to the view that God will make all things work for your good if you do all things out of integrity. |
And what is the criteria you people are using? Me sef I want to select my own. ![]() |
Its probably hardware. I have an old one that started with one line and now looks like this: https://i48.tinypic.com/29ut3er.jpg |
Is IDM better than DAP? |
I mean invasive as in invading someone's personal space. They can come banging on your gate at 8am on a Saturday when you're trying to get some weekend catch up sleep. And when you tell them you're already a christian and are in another denomination, they still try to shove their message down your throat. Their intentions are good, the methods are just sometimes overbearing. |
Because their style of evangelism is too invasive?? Especially when they are preaching to the converted. |
^ ^ ^ Who is greater in the eyes of Christian God, Abraham the father of faith, or the nameless faceless author of Cor you quotedThe nameless faceless author is Paul, and all men are equal in the sight of God. 1). He did not advocate marriage but that every man must have a woman. Proof me wrong. He did advocate marriage: each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband 2). He ignored the fact that every woman needs her own man, too, or even some men. I need correction. Its right there, every woman needs her 'own man' because he considers having multiple partners immoral.3). Evidently, if he married he was immoral and not fit to give any injuction, since his desire was no marriage at all, if there wasnt immorality.Ditto. Please re-read what he said well. 5). Was the author not an eunich who cant husband a wife, so he covered his track by going against what is natural in mankind; woman/man?He was unmarried, but see what he says to the unmarried: Now to the unmarried and the widows I say: It is good for them to stay unmarried, as I am. But if they cannot control themselves, they should marry, for it is better to marry than to burn with passion: 1 Cor. 7:7-8 A recurring theme. Marriage is encouraged to prevent/reduce fornication.6). If Abrahim married more than 1 wife, Isaac married more than 1 wife, Jacob married more than 1 wife, and Jesus married no wife, why 1 wife?Again, the above passage explains it. Jesus probably did not marry because He could hold bodi, and it was not expedient for Him to. |
Nobody can force you to write any amount in your cheque book. The intentions of the pastor may have been wrong, but that does not remove the free will of the account holder to write whatever they like. If someone normally drops #500 every week, what stops them from writing a #500 cheque , or from paying their tithes in advance if they pay tithes? If you're stuck, there's always a way to go about it without being duped. After all you are not giving the church a blank cheque. |
^ ^ ^ 1 Cor 7 1Now for the matters you wrote about: It is good for a man not to marry. 2But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband Most places in the bible where marriage is discussed, a monogamous picture is presented. Even if you don't agree that this is a direct injunction, I am of the opinion that where there is no explicit biblical principle, it is wiser to stick to pattern(s). |

If both of you don't want but your families insist, I think you should just do it for peace sake. |
^ ^ ^ Personally I'm not defending crime in the name of patriotism, I know most people aren't as well. What we are saying is that Mr. Ctele should think before he opens his mouth to the press, and not make careless generalized statements about foreigners, worse still in a xenophobic climate like South Africa. And about your comparison with 'kidnapping business', I think you are simply dancing around the issue and not confronting the demand side of the drug business. Whether its Nigerians or Bulgarians, South Africa has a drug problem, evidently. Perhaps Mr. Ctele and his enlightened colleagues should work on that also. |

1 Tim 2: I also want women to dress modestly, with decency and propriety, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or expensive clothes. 'Modesty', 'decency', etc are constructed, subjective and culture-specific terms. We should think about that before attempting to legislate what women everywhere can or cannot wear. |
@OP I feel your pain, no be today. I can't speak for churches in the UK but this is the general theme of most pulpit messages today. Its a sign of the end: 2 Timothy 3: 1This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 4Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God |
I jst wnt 2 knw if it is a sin for a Born_again believer in a uni. of abt 20+ to fall in luv and date girl cos i am, and wen al these 'holier than thou' christain see me reading christain books on dating, and mingling, d impresion on dier face wil say,' so dis bro. has backsliden totaly'.Plz i nid your views.
In my opinion, christian dating is fundamentally not a sin. However, the motive is crucial. Are you doing 'trial and error', seeing if this one will work out or if she is the best for you? That is the popular version of dating and in my opinion is not God's perfect will. Secondly, christian dating should be with the ultimate aim to be married. Before you date someone, ask yourself "is this someone I can actually marry?" Personally, there are relationships I have refused to get into because the answer to this question was no. So in my opinion, christian dating should = courtship. You are quite young and what I know is that successful marriage comes with a certain level of spiritual, physical and emotional maturity. You must honestly assess yourself and judge if you are mature enough to begin to consider marriage. You are not too young; I know a couple of young successful couples, but it is a very thin thread to tread I must tell you. |
^ ^ ^ Sorry to burst your bubble, but with limited research people can get what you are trying to sell for free. If I have time I will personally post a more comprehensive tutorial.
