IfnobeGod20: My brother, court rulings do not contemplate and not court will contemplate for the petitioner or the respondent. The case in contention borders on 2024 budget representation and an event has overtaken the 2024 budget representation to Martins and his group of 26 friends because the 2025 budget is now in force. They should go to any high court of their choice to ask for the 2025 budget representation to them and let us hear what the court will say. Shikena! My brother, the judgment stating that 4 members cannot transact any legislative business remains. Whatever fubara does with his clowns remains illegal |

IfnobeGod20: Mr. Man, APC is just been smart by half. These are people that declared their defection on a live tv and they were welcomed by the state chairman of APC in Rivers state and they went to court to go and sworn an affidavit to handicap INEC, State assembly and PDP not to declare their seats vacant because they claimed their was an issue in their former party. Except you wished to tell the world that anyone can just go to court to swear an affidavit without no cogent reason. Have you sat down to ask yourself why they went to the same court to withdrew same affidavit they sworn to. The mean thing is, they cannot undo what has been done because a case has been filed on that ground. You cannot aprobate and reprobate at the same time. Not allowed in law, even though I am not a lawyer but I know all this basic. If not they have committed perjury for lying on oath, hence they are liable to jail term. Yes, they can go to jail for perjury but there's not sufficient ground to claim they defected so fubara loses |

IfnobeGod20: Whether the 2024 budget is illegal or not it has overtaken by an event and the event is that the 2025 budget is in operation. Go and listen to Femi Falana on the same issue today. You can search for the video on the net. I have it but can post video here. He explicitly said, this suit was filed before their defection and their defection suit is already at the federal high court in Portharcout. Meaning if the go to court again to fight for the representation of the 2025 budget to them, the respondent will have a enough ground to address their defection properly as they were unable in this 2024 budget suit. Just try and search for video of Femi Falana reaction to supreme court judgement on Rivers state 2024 budget representation and you will get clearer picture. Falana is fubara lawyer so what do you expect him to say? I rule you out of order... The appeal court ordered the budget to be presented to Amaewhule group which is legitimacy and that ruling subsists. Fubara lost today and would still have lost whether he withdrew or not. The apex court ordering fubara to pay separate fines to Amaewhule and the assembly should tell you the direction of the case. Fubara will lose heavily |

This unit results was added up and led to the Governor's lead over Ighodalo. What's your take on this my brother? 😂😂😂 What is on irev is irrelevant sir. The supreme court has rubbished irev. Bergavis: Over voting has taken place in 133 units across the entire state, not only in this particular unit. The individual testifying for the second respondent acknowledged over voting in his unit. The same acknowledgment is expected from others. If you subtract those units where over voting transpired, the PDP will emerge as the winner. PDP failed to substantiate the over voting in any of the 133 units.this particular units was already cancelled so back to square 0 |

BluntCrazeMan: He actually AGREED to one out of MANY DOCUMENTS which the PDP presented.
If he agrees to it, it means that many others are also correct, until proven otherwise.
They stopped other witnesses from appearing, so that they cannot agree any further.. But the damage is already done.
They accepted that what the Petitioners are saying is true. I thought you learnt from atiku vs Buhari and obi vs atiku. He further revealed that those units where over voting occurred where cancelled contrary to PDP claims. There is no damage. PDP can only succeed on the strength of their petition and not on the weak defence of Apc |

Come oo.. What did I Just read here.?? I already stated last week that the smart play is for APC and inec to close their case without presenting any witness since pdp failed in presenting any cogent witness. The defence will just rely on testimonies elicited from PDP witness to damage the case further. Once a petition fails, whatever the defence does is useless even if they admit to rigging |

IfnobeGod20: Remain valid but can you rewind the hand of a clock. Remember the suit is not on their defection but who to receive the 2024 budget. For now 2024 budget has been overtaken by event and that was why SIM went to withdrew the case, as it would turn to academic exercise if the judgement is delivered. In the eyes of the law, the budget of last year was illegal whether overtaken or not and also this this year's budget is also illegal whether it is academic exercise or not. All these points to indications that he would lose the defection case |

SIM withdrew it because he knew any judgement given will only be academic exercise because the 2025 budget has overrode that of 2024. Nothing like overtaken. Technically, he still lost |

obasidon1: Fubara withdrew his appeal
Read
The Supreme Court struck it out
The Supreme Court hasn't decided on the Rivers House defection matter
Fubara withdrew the appeal because that case was about 2024 budget
We are in 2025. That budget is gone.
The expired lawmakers should go and start another case about the 2025 budget
The 2024 budget case that was before the Supreme Court panel has been overtaken by events by virtue of effluxion of time
Those beating drums a d having premature ifedi
Should wait for the main case to reach the supreme court
For now Amaehwule and Co are expired lawmakers It also means that the appeal court ruling invalidating the budget was sustained |

OldSkoolHeadBoy: You guys don't know how the electoral and legal system works !
The first issue is it that it is universally recognized that there is no election that is 100% flawless anywhere in the world. The witness that has been called, despite scoring an own goal has only confirmed that there was over voting in only one (1) Polling Unit, out of several hundred Polling Units that were used during the election in Edo State. The judgement to sustain or overturn the election result would be determined based on if there are several of such infractions in several Polling Units that would be sufficient to affect the declared results in favour of the APC Gubernatorial Candidate. The volume of possible number of votes in the affected Polling Units where over voting took place must be greater than the margin of difference between the declared APC winner and the PDP loser that is challenging the process.
Therefore, before you get unnecessarily excited and at the end of the day the judgement does go in your favour, please note that there would have to be several of this type of revelation that must be in overwhelming volume, if not the result of the election stands as declared ! Cc bergavis, meteordman, chinjo2 |
