What I am saying is,, if the result is not transmitted instantly (whereas it is supposed to be instant), then two options are available.

1. Either to proceed without collating the results of the Polling-Unit. The results can only be added during the time of FINAL REVIEW BY THE RETURNING OFFICER -- when the Returning officer would be settling the final disputes according to the procedures listed in the Electoral Act.
(This would cause our collation officers to actually settle disputes during collation)

2. Or to wait for the result to still pop-up in the IREV-Portal.

If I send a message on Whatsapp, even if there's no network on my phone, the message registers on the system as being sent and whenever network returns to the phone, the message will be delivered.

The most important point here is that it registers on the system as being uploaded at a certain timestamp and there should be no option to resend or alter the uploaded result at a later time or date.

That's what happened in 2023 and other elections sir. Polling unit results where sent and because of the glitch, they couldn't be delivered or transmitted to irev for a few hours but within 24 hours, 95% went. Now if result of a unit are sent it can't get to the server until two days later, what is the difference with that we currently have? Are you even aware that even before the results is uploaded, they could change figures on ground?

There was no glitch, whatever your definition of the word. Tinubu, in cahoots with Mahmood Yakubu's INEC and other co-conspirators, simply turned off the result transmission system (IREV) when it became apparent that he was losing the vote count and that the results would not favor hin, therefore need to be rewritten manually.

This is how we ended up with this APC government, and the youths they are unable to create gainful employment opportunities for are now being recruited to gaslight the rest of us for a pittance wage.

The only senator I know who could realistically survive such an election is Senator Abaribe.

The Electoral Act 2022 made provisions of transmission of results though a means as prescribed by the Commission.

Electoral Act 2022
60(5) The presiding officer shall transfer the results including total number of accredited voters and the results of the ballot in a manner as prescribed by the Commission.

The Apex Court has always held that non-electronic transmission of results doesn't invalidate the process. The Court has held that by virtue of Sections 52 & 65 that allow for manual transmission of results, INEC can uphold any of the above.

This new proposal was advocating a mandatory electronic transmission which was shot down to retain that which was in the EA 2022.

It will be passed after 2027 polls. Justice Oyewole is going to the apex court
