As how? Take it how? Because he has governors on his side? That is irrelevant. Obi's votes are not dependent on the governors. Let's assume that Tinubu would capture the PDP machinery in those states, since he has destroyed the PDP and absorbed their votes, it is still not enough to win Obi in those states. In Delta state for instance, Obi had 55% of the vote, Atiku came second with 26% of the vote while Tinubu came third with 14% of the votes. So, if we combine Atiku and Tinubu's votes, that gives a total of 40% and this is assuming that the PDP has been fully absorbed into the APC and they will repeat the same performance.

You guys and all pollsters gave obi north central so him losing it is a big steal. It is good you didn't argue about cross river and akwa ibom. I never said Tinubu will win delta or Edo because these are obi strongest areas in SS but Obi will win with less votes. The PDP in delta led by okowa and Gov sheriff are now in APC. Tompolo the biggest political juggernaut who delivered delta south to Atiku is now campaigning openly for Tinubu. In Edo, the governor has seized control of the electoral structures and emasculated the opposition.
North Central voters or northern christian votes are swayed by who allays their feelings of marginalization and Tinubu has given them much appointments and shown that Muslim Muslim ticket isn't to islamuze them. He has shown commitment to fight fulanis unlike buhari. The major challenge is banditry. APC has won elections in areas where they have never won before in southern kaduna and plateau which shows a large shift in electoral fortunes. Those that helped obi get food votes in Benue, nasarawa, plateau are now in APC. Even in Fct, Wike massive success will sway votes to Tinubu.

Peter Obi won four out of six states in the South South (Edo, Delta, Cross Rivers, and Rivers(Wike rigged it)). That isn't a narrow victory by any stretch.

He also did well in the North Central. Especially the Eastern North Central states (Plateau, Nassarawa, and Benue(Tinubu won narrowly)).

And yes, Tinubu might have the upper hand because he has taken the PDP out of the picture, but that only affects Atiku, not Obi, who didn't need political machinery/structure to garner massive votes.

Atiku might also benefit from Buhari's death -- making him the Northern champion since he's basically the only Hausa-Fulani in the race, and the Northerners have already soured on Tinubu.

It is narrow sir. Obi was projected to sweep SS or win massively like in SE but the difference was just 500k. Tinubu will take CRS,Aks, bayelsa, rivers and get good votes in delta Edo.... Obi will still lose north central. Tinubu has captured the minds of many of those Christian northerners.

He will do everything within his power to make the OK ticket win Kano, including with vote buying and rigging. As for Atiku, I still believe he might do better than Tinubu in Kano. There is an anti-Tinubu pitch going strong in the North today. This is not 2023.

Overall, I still believe Tinubu will win 2027 elections. Tinubu is a street politician and he will do everything to win.

Yes to Tinubu, he has made massive progress in both states. Most of Atiku's votes and structures are now with Tinubu. Atiku is the one being denied. South is tinubu vs obi, north is Tinubu vs Atiku so Tinubu remains the common factor and biggest beneficiary

Something we may need to realize is that northerners do a lot of skirt and blouse voting, especially since the inception of the 4th republic. You may see Atiku win most states while a lot of APC govs are returned in the north. It happened under Objs second tenure and under Gej in 2011. In both cases, their saving grace was that they both were well grounded in the south to nullify what ever they were expected to lose in the north. Same won't be said of Tinubu, who is the weakest southern president among the three in terms of broadbased southern support, no thanks to obi.

Don't be surprised Atiku has reached a form of accord with some northern politicians openly singing Tinubus praise in the open. Thank God you mentioned the infighting in Zamfara between the gov and Yari. This is the North we're talking about. The governors have little to no influence on who they vote for presidential elections.

I'm the 2003/2007/2011 elections, the North voted massively for Buhari even though he barely had any governors in his camp.

If Atiku is seen as the Northern champion the way Buhari was, then he would get those same votes.

Although what you mentioned about 25% is valid. The election is most likely going to go into a run off.

From 2003-2021, the northern governors delivered 30-40% for PDP and that is what Tinubu needs
