AMINDA:
And the Labour party too with the full support and approval of Tinubu. Seyi Makinde already told us how the deal was brokered in Aso Rock. But for the political deftness and wisdom of other politicians who came together to form the ADC, there will be no opposition party today. It has never been this bad. Tinubu is still highly unpopular among the voting electorates and his only pathway to re-election is to contest unopposed.
The ADC does not pose a threat

But assuming there's no crisis in nnpp, Only nnpp can complain or sue. It is not your business. Apga has raised an issue about Abaribe

Please suspension of a member or members does not equate to having a faction. Suspension of a member is a disciplinary action. SDP had no crisis as at when the senator left the party.

PoliticsRe: Turaki-Led PDP Rejects Ruling On National Convention, Heads To Supreme Court by Akpakomiza2: 8:23pm On Mar 10
fergie001:
Based on ruling party and/or bias is better put.

Jurisdiction is the life-blood of any suit
Without jurisdiction, any suit no matter how finely delivered will be null, void and of no moment.
It is not always so. In an election case, the laws are clear on who has locus but on civil/ political matters, the court can swing anywhere
PoliticsRe: Turaki-Led PDP Rejects Ruling On National Convention, Heads To Supreme Court by Akpakomiza2: 7:38pm On Mar 10
fergie001:
It won't happen with the ruling Party. We saw things like these overlooked by the Supreme Court as early as 2022.

On the issue of ad-hoc delegates, we see the Supreme Court argue profusely that delegates who are members of the Party are not aspirants hence cannot contend same even in gross violation of Party rules. We saw this many many times.
See, this issue of jurisdiction in a party matter is not cast in stone and not constitutionally specific. It is fluid, flexible and malleable. It is neither here nor there. It is down to the judges and they will rule based on the exigencies, scenario, trend, interest at that time. I can't argue on points of law but on common sense.

Legally, the desire to do justice overrides any technicality. Once there's a grievous violations or crime, justice must be done. One cannot hide behind jurisdiction. The law weighs the offence and the technicality and the balance of probability prevails. Normally, the court would have said it is an internal party matter and dismiss the case but for them to overlook this, then there is nothing stopping them from doing substantial justice. Once you fail to handle your party matters and you go to court, you are at the mercy of the judges. It is a political matter and of course......
PoliticsRe: Turaki-Led PDP Rejects Ruling On National Convention, Heads To Supreme Court by Akpakomiza2: 6:28pm On Mar 10
fergie001:
I contend strongly with it because of jurisdiction.

The three plaintiffs didn't attempt to buy forms, their states were not amongst the 14 contested. They are neither members of NWC or NEC of the Party. Again, non-joinder of any of the 14 alleged affected States.

Aspirants are suppose to query the system. Let's be honest here, you are telling me an ordinary APC member in Ayeh-Gbede in Ijumu LGA will be filing a suit challenging the APC National Convention where he neither is participating or have entrenched interests? We have seen all of this before. They simply have no jurisdiction having not shown sufficient input to show their purpose of grievance.
They have partial jurisdiction as members of pdp, voters in the congress and will be affected by the actions of the party. Where an infraction or a violation is very grievous and fatal, the issue of jurisdiction which is technicality can be waived

I pity Bala the most.
He has no where to go to. Seyi is already in ADC.

I tell you I strongly differ with the Appeal Court judgements yesterday, but this Supreme Court will not do anything.
On what grounds will you disagree with the appeal judgment when there where grievous violations of pdp constitution? The convention was conducted contrary to pdp laws...
I don't think Seyi will join ADC

Lol.

As usual, bat is being clever by half. Trying to soundbite so as to cover other glaring incompetences. A man that has borrowed more money than 3 administrations combined.

What is the value and pp of the money you are bragging about? As at today, almost 40% of government workers at federal level are yet to receive salaries.

You are owning wage awards of over 2 years

You are owing promotion arrears of 3 years.

N18k in 2014 had more value and purchasing power than N70k today.
Wage awards of just two months. Forget about promotion arrears

The easiest election in the world will be in 2027.
This man is too pro Atiku, he might be a saboteur in APC. Anyway with the leadership fracas in PDP, no serious aspirant will remain there
PoliticsRe: Governor Dauda Lawal Of Zamfara State Defects To APC by Akpakomiza2: 4:03pm On Mar 09
LagosOrigin:
It will be a big disgrace if after all this defections, APC still lose to Peter Obi in 2027.

Peter Obi defeated them all in 2023 till Wike rigged the final decider in Rivers state to tinubu.. I trust Obi will deal with this thieving politicians again in 2027 and this time, no amount of rigging will save tinubu because Nigerians are tired of him and his failed government.
So without rivers votes, obi would have won?
PoliticsRe: PDP's Suspension Of Anyanwu, other National Officers in order - Appeal Court by Akpakomiza2: 12:46pm On Mar 09

That's if they won't go to supreme court.

We have seen the Court invalidate adhoc members by virtue of the fact that they are not aspirants. Are they not also Party members?
They are aspirants but where not allowed to buy forms
PoliticsRe: PDP's Suspension Of Anyanwu, other National Officers in order - Appeal Court by Akpakomiza2: 12:41pm On Mar 09
fergie001:
1. Court invalidates Turaki
2. Court affirms suspension of Anyanwu & Ors
3.;Court validates Damagum
4. Damagum's tenure has expired.
5. BoT will take charge of the Party.
6. BoT will call for a NEC meeting.
7. The NEC will appoint a Caretaker EXCO.
When will they use and do primaries
PoliticsRe: Appeal Court bars INEC from validating PDP's Ibadan National Convention by Akpakomiza2: 12:38pm On Mar 09

with or without locus?
My argument has not always surrounded the internal affairs,, I know Kekere-Ekun in one of her judgements dealt with this.

My argument has been that all 3 plaintiffs at the lower court had no locus to institute same.
They are party members, exco members and would be affected by the decision of the court or party
PoliticsRe: Appeal Court bars INEC from validating PDP's Ibadan National Convention by Akpakomiza2: 12:35pm On Mar 09
fergie001:
They didn't because Abdulrahman or the Caretaker were not parties to the suit.

For Abdulrahman, his case is before the Appeal Court in Ibadan. Again, his Secretary's suspension has been validated meaning anything he is doing or has done with Anyanwu's signature is null and void.
Who suspended Anyanwu? The Turaki led Nwc or NEC

PDP should make sure they go to supreme Court so this becomes a law

We all know now u don't need 25% in Abuja to be President that one has ended
We knew since 1960, no be today
PoliticsRe: Appeal Court bars INEC from validating PDP's Ibadan National Convention by Akpakomiza2: 12:17pm On Mar 09
fergie001:
The Appeal Court also upheld the suspension of Anyanwu, etc who were earlier suspended by the Damagum-Executive.

This invariably means their own leadership who has these suspended leaders are also not in-charge. Party will likely be headed by BoT/NEC.
Once again, I keep telling you that a court can adjudicate on matters of internal affairs where a party disobeys it's own rules
