BlueRayDick: So I prepared this stir fry spaghetti yesterday, but due to the domestic incident that followed it's consumption I couldn't post.
So I prepared the spag and devoured it almost immediately, but when I was done eating I noticed I was experiencing some discomfort somewhere down my throat. Then it hit me, the shell/Legs of the dried prawn I used for the spag had hooked my throat and was causing serious pain.
I tried everything I could to have it forced out but I couldn't. The more I tried, the more the pain down my oesophagus increased. I even dipped my hands down my throat to throw up as much as I can but yet the particle causing the pain never came out. I even followed some YouTube videos that required one to take coke or olive oil when food particles get stuck in the throat but nothing came out.
I eventually ended up in the hospital. The doctor who happens to be a childhood friend whom we grew up together in Sunday school told me I just have to keep drinking warm water and allow the particle drop down my stomach by itself over time. An alternative to this is for her to refer me to ENT specialist who will perform a procedure and remove it. She gave me a drug to relieve the inflammation around the area sha.
Well, I woke up this morning and it appears like she predicted the particle already dropped down my stomach. I only feel slight pain from the sore the particle made from my constant efforts at trying to force it out yesterday.
Why am I posting this long story? It's for us all to be careful when swallowing these food items especially seafood. As we keep safe this period, let's also eat safe ó. For me no more dried prawn in meals for now Sorry bro. Trust you're good now |

ceeceeuwa: Pleas, can you put me through on how cucumber can be cultivated on a flower pot? Please!!! I will be derailing though. 1. Get a good cucumber variety (seeds) 2. Get a flower pot, sack or grow bags with hole for drainage. 3. Source for top soil or any other substrate you intend using. Just ensure it's fertile et Al. You can mix with cured cow dung or chicken droppings. 4. Sowed your seeds (not too deep about 1 inch or 1.5 inch deep 5. Water. Be careful with over/under watering. These are just the preliminaries. You will learn as you go. |

cococandy: Don’t edit your post. Let anyone understand it the way they want.
All those rich celebrity chefs on Instagram supporting the protests with meals are contributing their time and energy but not their money. Their time and energy is actually worth more than the money donated because at the end of the day, no one will fold money and chew it.
They are using donations from Nigerians home and abroad to fund it. And people are donating heartily. I’ve been following and impressed with the actions of everyone who’s been supportive .
You have done nothing worth criticizing and your heart is in the right place. Thanks for the encouragement ma. I was motivated to do some thing for them, going through my wallet and pantry, I discovered I could only afford for 20 people. I felt 20 was too small for over 200 protesters, reason I asked for support. Well, it turns out there are bitter people lurking around/in this thread looking to pick faults and vent their frustration on one. I edited because I derailed the purpose of the thread and because I lost motivation to even support. Make my good no turn bad. Thanks again. Thanks Amorprincessca24! Brioche. This is my first time making Brioche.
Brioche is a French bread (I guess) made lot of eggs and butter. For instance, I used 3 eggs, 1 tbsp sugar and ½ cup of margarine for the Brioche. If I was making normal bread with same flour quantity, I'd have used 1 egg, 3 tbsp margarine and 3 tbsp sugar
It tasted unique (savoury kinda) with a flaky exterior and velvety soft interior

GboyegaD: Congrats bro! Share how you were able to do without carbonated drinks. There's no super thing I did. I simply made up my mind to do away with carbonated drinks. Initially, my favorite were Smoov Chapman, Fanta and Sprite. I discovered they were affecting my health negatively. I decided to reduce my intake. Surprisingly, I went 1 month without it....I continued till date. I started January this year. I replaced with fruits water, I used mainly cucumber and lemon slices. I got a 900 mL water bottle, cut a slice or two of both cucumber and lemon, put them in my water bottle, fill with water and drink. I kept filling with water for 24/36 hours, then I replace with new slices. The results were great. I had fresher face, my pimples faded away and it had this refreshing feel. Unfortunately, I couldn't keep up cos I didn't have storage for my lemons and cucumber. They get spoilt and my money wasted. I continued with normal water. My target is at 2.5 ltrs of water daily The only problem with this is constant urination . I pee frequently and the urine is pure.... That's just it jare |

smh, u deh try o..... Initially, I replaced with lemon water (I cut lemon slices and infuse in water)...I couldn't keep up cos my lemon get spoilt at room temp. I just continued with normal water. It's not like I was a chronic alcoholic.. then, I take alcohol occasionally (once in 2 or 3 months). My addiction was fanta and Sprite mariahAngel: *Singing* Akpokpokpo Akposy!

Celebrating my myself and small wins with this yummy dish. Rice| Croaker fish stew| Dodo
Despite been broke with 1,300 left in my wallet, I decided without apology to celebrate my small wins and self today! It has been 9 months and counting without carbonated drink and alcohol. At first, I thought it'd not be possible but here I am in the 10th month already. I deserve this treat and more.
Nothing is too big nor small to celebrate yourself today. Remember say na who get life dey celebrate o. Meanwhile, I will continually say to no police brutality!
