Politics › Re: Saraki's Victory Is Northern Conspiracy Agains Yoruba-bisi Akande Blasts by akpumping7720(m): 1:44pm On Jun 29, 2015 |
onatisi: bisi akande is a complete fool for making this statement . Whatever is happening to him and tinubu is their own palava,he shouldn't play any ethnic card with the apc crisis . Infact many yoruba states are even tired of apc. The crisis happening in apc is the headache of tinubu, akande and co and NOT of the YORUBA RACE . We don't see any conspiracy against the south west, what we see and which is glaringly clear is a conspiracy against tinubu and his henchmen within in apc,and this is even a result of their own actions. Buhari never wanted to be part of apc ,it was tinubu that went to persuade him,the yorubas or the south west DID NOT SEND tinubu to buhari, he went for his own selfish political interest,so bisi akande shouldn't drag the yorubas into their mess. Am just hearing this for the first time that Tinubu went to persuade Buhari to run for the Presidency.... Chai,'u see different kind of knives when an elephant dies'. The merger of CPC and APC was suppose to take effect in 2011 but due to reasons best known to them it wasn't possible,go ask confirm politics observers! I will agree with u that Akande shouldn't bring in the issue of tribalism into the APC crisis. Coz if they had play their cards well, they wouldn't have been in this mess.... That's why I will always respect OBJ (the ebora of owu himself). Baba knows how to play the in and out of Nigeria politics... U can confirm this one from Atiku! Shalom Brother! |

chukwudi44: It appears that even with the heavy defeat suffered by the SW local champion Tinubu,He has not learnt his lessons rather he wants to fight dirty by throwing up irrelevant stories about the Hon Senate president Bukola Saraki. The way it is any ministerial candidate presented by Tinubu to Buhari is also going to face the same fate suffered by Gbajabiamilla and Lawan.I would like to advice eminent SW APC politicians like Fashola and the gentle Fayemi to stay far away from him if they want to ever have a chance at working at PMB's cabinet.
Saraki and Dogara with their positions and the numerical superiority of their supporters would never allow any of his candidates to make it pass the NASS screening.
It is a matter of saying " those in favour of not clearing the nominees says nay" and I bet you the nays will have it.Tinubu should swallow his pride and dobale else he will be subjected to more ignominy. But why u hate Tinubu like this naa? Is it only Saraki that will single handedly screen candidates? Naa wa to u oooooo. So u don't even know that there is always an agreement between the party chiefs and NASS as to the screening of candidates. Or do u think there is no pre-screening process before the live screening process u watch on TV? Guy, u funny no be small. Tinubu no bow to Obasanjo.. Naa Saraki abi Atiku he go kan bow to... What Jagaban could do is to align with the 'Ebora of Owu' in other to defeat those 'Traitors'! |

Politics › Re: Wike Has A Short Time In Office – Rivers APC by akpumping7720(m): 12:21pm On May 31, 2015 |
My Prediction: firstly, if a rerun was to be conducted; Dakuku will win the election, reason is because; APC will strategize on how they can expose PDP rot at the Federal Level so therefore the people will turn their eyes away from Wike and Goodluck might be invited to tone down his support for PDP in Rivers state or otherwise he will be Probe for his mismanagement at the Federal level (Don't underestimate the power of the FG, Ekiti State as a case study). Trust me Jonathan will concur. If we observe carefully, Madam Patienece isn't even ready to back any of her 'Chosen Candidates' again, she has left everyone to his or her faith coz the shock of loosing the second term bid is still affecting her psychologically; PDP fans needs to start praying that a rerun shouldn't be conducted in Rivers State. Secondly; Buhari may calm down APC to ignore the rerun and leave Wike alone! |
Romance › Re: Can Someone Fall Out Of Love? by akpumping7720(m): 9:35pm On May 30, 2015 |
tohpahz: Now this is something that has been on my mind for quite a while..
I hear people say they fell out of love with their partner, and I've also seen cases where attitude and everything just changes because of the same reason..
Personally, i don't know and it's getting me a lil bit confused here and there..(i sometimes think the person never loved the partner )
So i want to ask, Can someone fall out of love with his/her partner Isn't love supposed to be a forever thing.. What causes this? Can it be prevented(if it exists )
Thanks... Love.. Love.. Love! There are so many things that surrounds it. But the absolute truth is this: there is nothing like true love again... Guys and ladies fake emotion due to outward appearance or benefit they will gain from their partner... And immediately all these vamoose or fade out; partners tend to 'Fall out of love'. Love is a thing of the innermind! Show me a beautiful lady who marries a struggling guy who isn't even handsome and who looks uglier than 'Bance' and I will show you 'True Love'! |

saxywale: Ode ni guy yi sha. All the present 4 ruling houses in Ife descended from the line of Oranmiyan. The 1st Alaafin of Oyo who also was the 6th ooni of ife. If the throne of Oyo was so important, why did oranmiyan return back to Ife to fight for the throne of the ooni if not that it was superior to that of Oyo He should have stayed in Oyo, katunga, Niger state, a lesser kingdom and died there nahh. It seems your brain is filled with Mucus.... that's why you are arguing like a robot.
See as u just dey dribble yaself. Ooni is the Orisa... while Alaafin is the igba keji orisa. Thanks for clarifying that. And if you don't know, Ooni also has the iku baba yeye in his title too.
And Adimula aka Olofin Adimula is also Oduduwa. Your knowledge on Yoruba history is next to zero. He be like say craze dey worry u for head. Who are u referring to as 'ode'? Never in your life label me such again nor abuse me like dis again. I repeat never in your life. Did I abuse u or talk to you in any rude manner. nas00: This will be the last time I will comment or reply anyone on this non-issue.
Now, let me help you listen to yourself. These are facts:
1) Oduduwa is the grandfather of Oranmiyan, who later founded Oyo kingdom
2) Meanwhile, Oduduwa himself was the first monarch of Ile-Ife (And first to bear that title you disrespect- OONI). Oduduwa, your ancestor was the first OONI of Ife.
Now, hear yourself: "OONI isn't among the seven children of Oduduwa".....
Oga mi, where you missed the point is that Oduduwa himself was OONI!
Figure that in, and you'll see that you didn't make sense up there.
The Throne cannot be equated to personalities. The throne of the OONI far supersedes that of the Alaafin.
Is that too difficult for you to grasp?
Oh sorry!... You actually meant Oduduwa, OONI of Ife and the grandfather of the first Alaafin, was one slave appointed to be in charge of the deities?
So, who appointed Oduduwa OONI of Ife? .. Alaafin abi?
Ride on, the wise one.
The gods are wiser though My question for you is this: the past and present Ooni of Ife(excluding the founder; Oduduwa) are they direct descendant of oduduwa or not? And did you know that Oranmiyan founded Oyo and became the first 'Alafin' at the same time direct affairs in 'Ile-Ife' from his palace at Oyo. Do you even know the meaning of 'Alafin'? Oranmiyan was suppose to be the crown king of 'Ile-Ife' but he chose to govern from Oyo and appointed 'Adimula' to oversee things in 'Ile-Ife' and bring him report. Boss! Make I stop here for now. But I would like u to reply my first question. |
Travel › Re: 5 Nigerian Traditional Rulers You Should Meet When You Travel... by akpumping7720(m): 9:04am On May 30, 2015 |
nas00: These days, people can hardly tell their left from their right. Can one blame them?
Yet often, the empty barrels make most noise. See them agitating for recognition!
That said, how could you compare Oònirìsà (literally: Ooni the Oracle) to 'Aláse èkeji òrìsà' (literally: Commander, next-in-command to the Oracle)?
If you know that the full title of the Ooni of Ile-Ife is Oonirisa, you will then understand that he himself is the deity. Your Alaafin can only be second to him, as his title parlance implies.
Realize that Ile-Ife is the source of the Yoruba race. Oduduwa's descendants left ile-Ife with crowns to go establish kingdoms and rule all over yorubaland. These kingdoms include those of the great Oba of Benin, Alaafin of Oyo, Olowu of Owu Kingdom, Alaketu of Ketu, Orangun of Ila, Onisabe of Sabe and Olupopo of Popo. It was from these initial kingdoms that all the Obas you know today sprang.
Memory verse: Ile-Ife is supreme, and the stool of the Ooni is higher than any other in yoruba land.
If you choose to respect the Alaafin or even Olubadan more than the Ooni, no problem. It's entirely your right to choose who to respect. But historically, the fact is what i've stated. Ego-massaging get us nowhere. Let's say the truth as it is..always!
A yoruba proverb says "the Okro plant cannot be taller than than its planter/ harvester".. Alaafin's stool is the Okro, while Ooni's is the planter/ harvester
Cheers! Oga, don't mix things up here by distorting history. Ooni isn't the deity himself. He is the 'Custodian' of the deities. Ooni isn't among the seven children of Oduduwa. He was the son of one of the slaves appointed to be in charge of the deities at Ile-Ife. The Old Oyo empire is the capital base of the Yoruba kingdom. When they call someone 'Iku baba yeye' in Yorubaland; Alase ikeje Orisa; it has a significant meaning. |

saxywale: In your household shey. Alaafin can't even challenge the soun or olubadan, the Chairman of the Council of Obas and Chiefs in Oyo State is rotated between the three thrones... Oga park well. Why mention my 'Household' in this issue? Am I discussing my 'Family' issue here. Never in your life quote such rubbish again. Back to the topic: when Alao Akala decided to look down on the Alafin by rotating the Chairman of the Council of Obas what happened to him at the end? Does he have any relevance in Oyo State Politics again? Did he not plan to join APC so as to be more relevant? Who gave him the authority to place iku baba yeye under any oba. Pls if u don't know 'History' try to learn. Even the Oni of Ife dare not look down on the Alafin talkless of Awujale of Ijebu or Onibadan. As far as history is concerned. Alafin remains the Paramount ruler of Yorubaland. Oni is the 'Custodian' of all the deities in yorubaland. |
