@gosj- I will advise you to read posts with open mind and not be sentimental in any way. Most stocks lack fundamentals, majority of us buy stocks on sentimental grounds. I posted the info on Enron to guide investors generally and not refering to 'YOUR OANDO'. We are mature minds on this blog. U are the MD of your portfolio and no negative sentiment on the blog on a particular stock can affect NSE output @ d end of the day

@mercylicious- u should have exercised a lil patience b4 entering FcMb cos it'll shed weight in coming week as guys that entered @ N3.2 will likely offload @ N4 which will force price down but Skye seems to be fairly ok cos I don't c the price going below N4

@Dumexoga- you've been marketing this Japaul almost on a daily basis, I want to believe u are not trapped with heavy dole in that shares cos I don't c any reaon of investing in Japaul now when 1 can easily make 20-30% gain in other stocks on a short term level than been held captive in sonething only God knows when it'll gain 5K

@Megainvest- my opinion about Japaul is for people that want the share for long term investment cos their results has been enmeshed in deficit and huge debt

Guys, has anybody seen the documentary 'Enron: The Smartest Guys In The Room'. Pla look out for It and learn 1 or 2 things about corporate world, stock market deals, dos and donts in decision makings and a lot more

To buy, U must do due diligence on stocks performance history, know the company, do research, seek expert opinions (BGL, PROSHARE, Renaissance etc analysis on stocks), to EXIT, have an exit plan @ d point of purchase I.e min profit margin % to make but this might change by cautiously checking the trade pattern vis daily stock trade schedule by focusing on d demand and supply levels (is stock on bid). Overall, majority of stocks buy nowadays are sentimental in nature and a sort of guidance is joining a forum like this platform on nairaland and as I and others have said b4, most suggestions by stock trading house are mostly on d wrong side, make ur decisions and stand by it

Investment in stock has its' risk factors just like any other business but as an investor, you should know ur risk apetite cos u are the MD of your portfolio but of most importance is the TIME to BUY and appropriate TIME to EXIT

@Donmarshia, the probability of u getting Oando to buy is slim but if u wait a lil till 1st week in Jan, u can always join d train. As for Japaul, those guys result is badddd, I doubt if anything can move the price in short term (even sentiment analysis no favour the stock)

If you check http://www.nsepro.com, u'll discover that Oando opened today @ 16.8 which is diff from the closing price of friday-16.42 and closed @ 17.64 which is 0.84 gain however the figure of 1.22 is right if taking cognisance of closing price of friday. Any whichway, ur money is still intact and working for you

As a means of managing risk, I know it's 100% right to have diversified portfolio with variety of stocks across diff sectors but I've always found myself with 1 or 2 diff stocks @ a time and not many as majority stated above. I do hit it big with lil or no loss but the former should b d ultimate.

@mercylicious- aint u looking @ Oando shares I sold off all my holdings in Nov but still skeptical @ re-entering. After I sold it off, the shares has been dangling @ N16 or so

I just don't understand why some guys can't just leave Transcorp alone in the sense that all stocks are bound to be trading @ this level by this time of the year going by history of DEC trade. This Dec trades has even surpass expectations from people in that the lull is not as much as projected. For. As an investor, you weigh diff analysis and not just buy blindly. The analysis of BGL and proshare has always work for me interms of decision making and that's y I put it up to guide willing minds. I don't miss Thisday papers on sunday cos of BGL analysis and Simon Kolawole's column. 1 man's poison is another man's food. I'll recommend Transcorp shares for anybody anytime anyday QED

Toluway: Fellow investors somebody has been repeatedly telling us here that Transcorps will soon go into re-construction. The fundamentals are ok and I intend taking a position. But i am worried by this re construction alert. Pls my ogas what do you say ?

Follow ur intuition and understand ur risk apetite, I just bought on friday and I'm confident by thurs I would have gained close to 20%. As a comfort, I just read BGL analysis of Transcorp shares in this day newspaer of today recommending BUY and putting a price of N7.01 in the short to medium term investment. It's a good buy anytime. I know d share will b a scarce commodity tomorrow
