BREAKING: #UnityBank, the first listed lender on #Nigerian bourse to report HY1 2014 earnings - basic EPS of 18.49k vs 10.59k (HY1 2013). What effect will this on the stock?

That is the motive of this thread. It's illogical to thread that part of Ban in my opinion. Whoever activated that button should reverse the action. To suggest shares to buy is not a crime cos the final decision is still with the portfolio owner.
The rule of the game is clear here and should not be benchmarked with what subsist on other threads.

The little I understand is dt he analyses the mkt as a whole. Whether he forcasts or not is what I cannot really say. I think wit his post he forcasts that the bull will continue, I might be right or wrong.

Yes o my bro @ Dexterax, i wanted to buy Transcorp again after i sold the few units i had on wed for N5.63. i wasn't lucky to pick even a unit @ N4.74 today. I have only WAPIC in my portfolio now and loose cash to invest with wisely next week if the environment is condusive enough

I greet u all and may we never suffer this kind of NAIRALAND shutdown again. More grace to all the technical gurus especially Mr SEUN that salvaged this site from the unexpected.

I have first bank shares but the rate @ which investors are dropping the shares is alarming but i know it's a good buy for midterm not short term. Transcorp shares is a good Buy too @ price btw 3.95 - 4.15 cos on or b4 the EOM, this share will start flying and heading towards N7. Their result is likely to be out by Mid FEB & It's a sure thing that they will declare Jumbo dividend

My acct officer is fantastic, no issues @ all. I only talked about their charges which seems to be on d high side compared to others but i've since discovered on this blog that there is lil or no diff with others with the exception of Morgan Capital

Nope, tried but the broker didn't c it to buy so i just stopped placing the order. There is still time to join the train by those who wish but i see this stock as a time bomb (Good or bad[b][/b]) that's sitting on so many dependencies (sealing of conocophillips, correction might come in anytime, sentimental analysis, Financials not too good, heavily indebted coy, bad mgt)

I use Dominion trust Ltd @ Lagos Island, they are quite efficient but sometimes i feel the charge on my transaction. I've notified my acct officer who promised to notify their mgt

@bigass- transfer of shares from one holder to another electronically without trading on the floor of exchange. E.g. I checked Morgan's site today where I saw that shares can be trsfed @ no cost, imagine myself with 1M unit of link assurance, I'll surely transfer and it'll relect in the daily trade report

TRANSCORP PLC:
Short term: Stand aside after the target had been triggered at N4.72K, await breakout above N4.84K
Long term: Long position since October 23rd targeting N6K risk limited to N2.63K

Oando Plc
Short term: Profit taking zone since price reached but fails to breach resistance N28.90K,
RSI 14 period at overbought level of 82. A reversal candle pattern formed at the resistance,
therefore a correction is expected between N21.45-N23.98K.
Long term: Bullish still in view

GTB Plc: Resumption of the fifth impulse wave (reference to the analysis in the first week in December)
Aggressive investor should enter long at current market price N28.88K projection N41.70K
for short term profiting and the risk is limited below N20.
Conservative investor should wait for breakout above N30

PROSHARE Technical conclusion on NEM sentiments: The stock has moderate chance, with moderate reliability, to extend uptrend in the coming session, considering the sustained active bargain tendency coupled with upper breakout observed during the week.  However, a cautious bargain approach is advised as the stock now trades in an overbought posture

@immanuelo- if @ all Transcorp is going to do reconstruction, it'll be @ d peak of price surge (my thinking though) I also butrss this pt by what a friend who works in a big finance house told me during the last Rally on Transcorp that b4 reconstruction can take place, the price will b very near to N7 which was the price of the IPO in 2007 or so.

I can only vouch for sterling bank and if you want comfort, I have the feeling that if you buy 1st bank now, u can gain 20-25% in the short term on or b4 feb ending. FCMB already trading @ N4 'overvalued' while the prob of skye getting to N5 is not likely within short term. Access-Ive got no clue.
I'll advice my fellow investors to always cultivate the habit of buying sunday Thisday newspaper to gain insight into stocks by BGL analysis, I've been ffg this for the past 6mths, most of their predictions always come true. 1 last thing, u can place ur money on Transcorp, it'll get to N7 in no time by the time they announce their end of year report (note, they will dividend this year)

CADBURY Announces Closure of Register and Full Suspension

My only advice is know when to buy and exit and do not do follow follow when it comes to shares trading. Be wise on Oando stock, set limit for yourself and exit @ d right time before some bad guys offload mega unit and everybody will be looking for safety. Note the stockbroker will first offload theirs before considering their client
