In the music industry, shooting of music videos can be said to be an effective way of immortalizing great songs.

In recent years, the Nigerian music industry has boomed,with great songs and some really nice music videos.

Unfortunately,this boom has led to 'creative arrogance' on the part of many Nigerian artistes. These artistes release certain songs that become hit tracks but due to certain awkward considerations they decide not to shoot videos for the song(s).

I've heard of some Nigerian artistes deciding not to a shoot video to a hit song because they don't have enough funds to shoot such videos abroad and hire white or mulatto female models.

In the case of hit songs that are collabos, i've heard of some Nigerian artistes deciding not to shoot music videos for such songs in order not to allow the artiste being featured on the track to outshine them.

A cross-section of electricity consumers in Lagos under the jurisdiction of Ikeja Distribution Company (IKEDC) are currently being blackmailed and held hostage by some auxilary staff of IKEDC.
These staff consisting mainly of unskilled technicians now go about vandalizing PHCN poles and carting away major cables connecting streets. After days of darkness, they aggressively persuade resident associations of affected streets to impose a levy on every compound on that street in order to raise money to fix a ficticious major fault.

This trend is nothing new as it existed during the era of government owned NEPA and PHCN, however with the privatization of these entities, such an illegal trend must now be considered an aberration.

Areas affected by the dubious IKEDC staff include parts of Ikeja,Egbeda,Idimu and Isheri areas.

We are calling on the new owners of IKEDC to take note and act swiftly.

With 2015 elections just months away, Boko Haram has intensified its evil campaigns against Goodluck Jonathan's government.

Obviously,the numerous bombings, killings and abductions has not really achieved its aim of pulling down GEJ's popularity.

As it stands now, Goodluck Jonathan is looking like Nigeria's consensus candidate for 2015 elections. Potential opposition candidates that truly stand no chance in Aso rock are busy fighting each other.

Boko Haram's latest onslaught seems to be directed at Nigeria's sovereignty-who would want to vote for a president that cannot secure Nigerian territories?

Boko Haram DOES NOT have the capacity to capture, occupy and RETAIN any viable territory-all they do is criss-cross our porous borders with Cameroun, cowardly attack border towns and villages,move into residenial homes and hide from the Nigerian army as long as they can.

Meanwhile their media savvy political sponsors go into town and tell the world that Nigeria has lost territory.

The good thing is that while the Nigerian army aggressively flushes out and destroys the insurgents in their 'new found territories', handlers of Goodluck Jonathan are simulteanously engaging in massive pro-jonathan rallies in support of his second term.

A lot of Nigerians have no qualms with these pro-Gej rallies cos they plan to vote for GEJ in 2015 anyways.

Unfortunately, opponents of GEJ, many doubling as Boko Haram political sponsors remain bitter,frustrated and confused, daily planning the next line of media backed insurgency attacks on the Nigerian nation,

They'll still fail.

Let me start by painting a scenario here, perhaps male Nairalanders married with children can relate to this.

*Armed robbers attack your household;as the man of the house,you push your wife and children aside and confront the robbers. You try your best, fought them with all you've got but alas,you're over powered. The robbers beat you into a state of coma, they may have even finished you off but for your wife and children pleading.*

Now, how would you want your family (wife & kids) to relay this incident to the outside world?

A. "Our house was attacked and overrun by robbers, they beat up my husband into a state of coma."

B. "If you see the way armed attacked our house and beat up our 'Daddy', you'll feel sorry for him-they nearly killed him,if not that we begged."

C. "Some fierce looking robbers attacked our house and my husband fought them bravely but was overpowered. I know that if my husband had a gun or someone else fighting by his side,he would have finished the robbers."

Now,let's relate answers A-C to our resposes as Nigerians to the war against Boko Haram.

As Nigerians,we are all members of the same household and the government through the army is 'our father' expected to fight for us as we face a common enemy-Boko Haram.

Now all the answers above are the TRUTH but each answer offers various perspectives that can either make or mar the reputation of the 'father figure' in this scenario.

From answers A to C let's give ourselves an intelletual assignment.

Which of these answers represent a neutral view, an opposition's view and a 'pro-government' view.

Many PDP bigwigs have been congratulating Osun people and their APC governor elect ever since INEC announced Aregbesola's victory.

This is a far cry from what happened a few months ago when the PDP won Ekiti gubernitorial elections-many APC personalites,supporters and media outlets (TVC) poured venomous insults on Ekiti people.

A whole Femi Falana said "Ekiti had voted to return to Egypt"
Others mocked Ekiti people and accused them of voting for 'stomach infrastucture'.

The PDP has today shown Nigerians why it is the only matured and national political party in Nigeria.

Congratulations to Rauf Aregbesola on his victory at the polls.

However,fact still remains that the APC cannot go to sleep because the PDP fought a good fight.

Also, President Goodluck Jonathan has once again organized a free and fair elections. He has also been assured that at least 35-40% of Osun indigenes with vote for PDP in 2015 elections.

So wetin remain?

If the PDP presents popular and controversy-free candidates in the remaining South-Western states in future elections, they will pull some heavy surprises.

Clearly the figures favour APC's Rauf Aregbesola but the opposition PDP posted some very good figures and were not humiliated in any way.

This goes to show that without doubt PDP's presidential candidate (GEJ) will muster well over 25% of votes cast in next years elections from Osun state.

PDP clearly has a good foundation in Osun state and if they had fielded a more loved and less controversial candidate at #OsunDecides, they would have carried the day.

Well done PDP.

Even if APC eventually wins this elections, the PDP has done extremely well 'so far'. Imagine what would have happened if Omisore did not have the 'Bola Ige' tingy over his head?

Truth be told; All GEJ will ever need from Osun state is at least 25% of votes cast. From the fake and real results being posted here on #OsunDecides, it's clear that the PDP will secure well over 25% of votes in Osun during 2015 presidential elections.

So either way, GEJ wins!
