I'm so ashamed with the kind of students we have in our institutions of learning.Why can't our students make research on a particular issue before coming out to disgrace their institutions and lecturers?I'm a student of Abia State Polytechnic and I want to tell that OP that he just showed the world that his institution lacks good lecturers. The man that named his dog Buhari is not guilty of any offence,be it breach of public peace or whatever you call it.Consider the Supreme court's interpretation of section 249(1)(d) of the criminal code cap 29 vol 11 laws of Ogun state of Nigeria in the case between Nelson Ohanyere & 9 VS IGP(1957)SCNLR 213.Check section 39CFRN. Also check section 36(12) CFRN. Students don't argue like touts,we argue with FACTS. #Peace

Bro,according to the Supreme court,for an act to be termed "breach of public peace",SUCH BREACH OF PEACE MUST HAVE TAKEN PLACE.Therefore in man's case,there was no breach of peace.Sec 36(12)CFRN will also help you if you want to Remove sentiment

Naming a pet after anyone is no criminal offence but what the man who named his dog the name he chose under the prevailing condition was bad. He had a quarrel with a northerner and the name of the northerner is what the accused person chose to name his pet, we learnt that he went to the extent of writing the name on both sides of the pet. The problem is, the community they both live is populated by northerners and this could incite the northerners into violence knowing very well how volatile these people are. The court could find him guilty of "INCITEMENT" and BREACHING OF PUBLIC PEACE. He has to prove his case beyond reasonable doubt knowing fully well that facts win cases and not truth.

Pls what is breach of public peace? You can help yourself by looking out for the supreme court's interpretation and also consider Section 36(12) CFRN. Thank You

For clarity on this matter,check Section 249(1)(d) of the criminal code cap 29 vol 11 laws of Ogun state and the subsequent interpretation of the section by the Supreme court in the case of Nelson Ohanyere & 9 others VS Inspector Gen. Of Police (1957). Also consider Section 36(12),35,39 CFRN. Pls we should not let lawlessness to thrive.LEGALLY, THAT MAN IS INNOCENT.However,morally,he might be guilty.But morality is relative.

. How does staying with one's in-law connotes "involve into their private affairs? From the OP's complain,the guy is not interfering in their private life.Rather, all I can deduce from her is that she wants to turn the guy to a househelp just because he is "eating her food" and "staying in her house".Will she make such complains if the guy is from her side of the family?

What's wrong in calling a dog Buhari? Is it against the law? The police have not arrested the budget "Padders",the rampaging herdsmen,Shekau,but here they are raising dust over a man who decides to name his dog with whatever suits him.

It seems that this administration has a pact with the herdsmen to revamp their business.If they use the same energy and vigour in helping the herdsmen to channel into our ailing economy,we would have been better for it.Moreover,when will they begin to rehabilitate the markets and stalls for the Igbos cos what is good for Greece is also good for Uganda.

In as much as I won't say there aren't people earning that low, but I can guarantee you their lives must be "Hell"... Even regular bus conductors and drivers earn over 60K monthly.
Those people earning 15k per month wont bother dreaming of renting a good apartment or settling down in Lagos

This video doesn't even say much. Get a better perspective of how their mind work, and how they have this unhealthy phobia for progressive and hardworking southerners from the book "The Biafra Story" by Frederick Forsythe.
