Politics / Re: "The Truth About Igbo Presidency: Senator Saraki Playing On Our Intelligence" by Alexk2(m): 4:34pm On Aug 25, 2018 |
Truth at it's peak for all south eastherners and I wish for the sake of the future, they listen this time and play a more pragmatic politics that'll earn them there pride. The old propaganda method and feeling of entitlement for what you never worked for is stale and inconsequential in Nigeria politics. Stop putting your eggs in one basket...enough said. 15 Likes 2 Shares |

One of thing I dislike about PMB which to me is his greatest undoing is the way he tolerate indiscipline and irresponsible personalities around him. It seems he just close his eye and pretend they don't exist or isn't affecting his reputation. Just for example, How can you tolerate GYB of kogi state to such level that he feels he can treat kogites anyhow with such impunity and PMB is doing nothing about it and will always be seen around Him. ....2019 will be very interesting! 12 Likes 1 Share |
Education / Borno State Boy Scored 364 In JAMB And This Happened by Alexk2(m): 7:48pm On Aug 15, 2018 |
Borno governor celebrates best JAMB candidate for 2018 UTME. Borno governor, Kashim Shettima celebrates best JAMB candidate for 2018 It was moment of celebration at the council chambers of the Borno State government house when the governor, Kashim Shettima, hosted an indigene, Israel Zakari, who emerged the best candidate at the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) exams. Israel and his mother, Jummai Zakari, were ushered into the council chambers where the governor offered a seat to the young man he called ”King of JAMB”. Israel scored 364 marks to emerge the best. Mr Shettima said his attention was drawn to Israel’s achievement by a friend of the boy’s family via a text message. He said he immediately directed the person to contact the Zakari’s and invited them to visit him in his office in Maiduguri. According to him, the young man who also did well in his WAEC is an ‘Albert Einstein’ of his time. He said Israel’s performance has proven to the world that the people of Borno State are ”not known for the Boko Haram conflict alone; but also in academic and scholarly excellence”. “I am fixating on his achievement because it has also put me particularly in the spotlight. An orphan, raised by a single mother a son of Boko Haram-ravaged Borno who triumphed against all odds. “He has proven to the world that where there is will, there is a way; he has proven to us that adversity should not lock us down; adversity should bring out the best in people. We have to identify with this young man; we have to identify with the boy and his family, fundamentally for two reasons; we must avoid the tyranny of the majority. I am a Kanuri man and a Muslim; this young man, is a Bura-man and a Christian – but above all he is a son of Borno. We must at all times have the generosity of courage and magnanimity to be inclusive. “I am an advocate of inclusivity, I am an advocate of tolerance and accommodation. This is the fundamental reason we invited the Zakaris so that we can all come together and celebrate this young man who is a symbol of excellence, resilience against all odds, so that any young man from Borno can be inspired. “Incidentally the young man has secured an admission into Covenant University and the Borno State Government would want to take full responsibility for his full scholarship. I am in the last lap of my time in office as a governor, so I want to pay the full five years scholarship for him; even though who ever that would succeed will sustain whatever commitment we have made, but I felt that when opportunity beckons like this one should utilise it optimally. So to keep the mind of his mother at rest, we are going to pay the full package of his scholarship now. “The full five years scholarship include the cost of books, cost of living in the campus, and all other related expenses. While we are giving you the offer letter today, the commissioner for higher education will hand you a cheque of N5 million naira which covers all that he needs to study electrical engineering at the Covenant University till graduation. “And I want you the mother to make the payment upfront so that this will not be affected by any kind of inflation. “If not because it is a little bit late, I won’t mind taking him to Harvard or Oxford to pursue his degree; but we will still not lose hope in exploring those opportunities.” In a voice drenched with emotion, Mrs Zakari thanked the governor and the government of Borno State. “We are honored and I am honored and so lucky for this kind of benevolence,” she said. “I did not expect this. We are so thankful and we can’t be happier. What you have just done today is a testimony to the fact that you have keen interest in the capacity development of the young people of Borno people. When you invited us we did not believe this will happen, but you have exceeded our expectations... Source; https://www.premiumtimesng.com/regional/nnorth-east/279265-borno-governor-celebrates-best-jamb-candidate-for-2018.html I salute this governor this kind gesture and rare display of statemanship so uncommon with most of our politicians. Yesterday, i watched a clip in TVC where the governor send delegates to CU VC to ensure the money is paid upront as directed/advised. We need more of shettima. Lalasticlala let's celeberate brain for once pls.

These politicians will start seeing the stupidity in their so called smartness by 2019. So you just decided to come see the library that was inaugrated over a year ago? Every plot against Nigeria is failing in Jesus name and the plotters will be humilated and publicly disgraced in Jesus name. 1 Like |

Proudly left-handed. Reminds me when I was growing up and i was almost hating myself and ashamed because of the way everybody around was reacting and cautioning me to switch. Had to educate myself by doing some research; realised it wasn't by choice but by birth and it's all about the location of the most active/sensitive parts of the brain. I became an advocate since then and feel proud of myself and how God make me....though I can use both hands beside writing now but I trust my left so much for everything 8 Likes |

You want a foriegn coach, be ready to face such consequence as this. He's not a Nigeria and his family isn't here; so what do you expect? As far as I'm concerned, we have alot of coaches who are far more qualified than this man......we'll have gone far at world cup of not for his shallow tactics. 3 Likes |

degamemaster: What he says is inconsequential as long as the igbos learn to work together as one entity.... what matters is the attitudes and nature of igbos as a whole. The problem of igbo as an ethnic group is in themselves; it's in their "false superiority complex". Hatred toward eachother and fighting within; and generally "unaccomodative" even to fellow igbos. Strange enough, the few who seems elightened and wana make a difference are being pulled down....hmmmm |

Why not just leave this guy with his decision and choices. It's his right just like it was the right of saraki and others to detect.... I'm less concerned about all these political dramas here and there cos it's all about there personal and family interest; never for the masses sake. The fight to right the wrongs in Nigeria is the right between the elites and the masses. We've been played long enough; it's high time we wise up. Our "gullibility" don do. If you don't pass the message accross through our pvc by 2019, the story will remain the same. 4 Likes |

FFK is at again; always bitter with anybody who say anything good or support buhari. This intolerance and politics of bitterness is evil and self-destrctive; we don't need it in Nigeria. Jerry Rawlings is entitled to his opinion on buhari and he's responsible for his it; whether right or wrong is another thing entirely. Stop the bitterness; stop the hate. |

He didn't force you people not to follow whoever you want and choose to follow so why making noice over his life choices? Why so intolerant so much so that you'll make an enemy of those who didn't belong to your political line of thought; what makes you Mr right? Just like he said, he own nobody an apology....deal with that. He's man enough to take responsibility for his decisions. |

It was buhari yesterday and some might cheer him because of hatred for the president but he remain same Saraki. |

A king rule a town or village traditionally in accordance with culture and traditions and that is same thing as mayor as obtained in the western world. Again, kingship is not by birth; it is absurd to think like that. We're all born equal; circumstances makes the differences afterward. God decide what happen to us all |

The king makes kingship enviable. By 2050, i predict that kingship in most civilised Nigerian cities will be by vote because only few families cannot be ruling and enjoying all the attached previleges; that's too unfair. |

How can you measure the Sucess story of Jamb under the new registrar simply based on the amount they are remmitting within taking cognisance of how much candidates are paying under previous registrar....not to talk of the introduction of ICT in the general conduct of their operations. Oloyede had done well and must be commended pls...we can only ask that he tighthen the loose ends. The right question everybody should be asking is where are the unreported/unremitted excess from the previous registrar administration? 6 Likes 2 Shares |

hopefulLandlord:You're even quoting a bible to justify your claim. Can you show me a place in the bible where Jesus ask a witch or anybody possesed by evil spirit to be killed or rejected/excluded/ostracized? A pastor who's "anoited" enough to identify a witch but cannot cast out that spirit from her but instead ask her to be neglected at the mercy of poverty is justified? If she's a witch, she cannot still harm them where she is Abi? I have observed similar cases and it's same story; there problem never go away despite running away from their old mother's or grandmother's. grandmother's strongly advice you to stop reading your bible upside down. Let the Holy Spirit guide you into all truth of God's Word and stop listening to false prophets and pastors as your basis for living..Peace! |

His message to the WORLD is LOVE and that was the reason for sending His Son to save you and me. That message cannot face instead I believe and pray it'll change your life one day soon in Jesus name..amen. Peace! |

Very common but less reported cases. If God didn't show mercy, i wonder what would've happened to some "children". These fake pastors seeing doom visions upandan don scatter many homes but it's the gullible followers who careless about what their bible say that I blame....last last, we'll all stand "singlarly before God to be judged one day. 30 Likes 1 Share |

There is nothing to be scared off if you've lived in Lagos as claimed. You'll find good and bad people just as there is in Lagos and the same survival instinct you need in Lagos will be needed in kebbi state too. No boko, no terrorist attacks like in borno, taraba, benue..e.t.c. Maybe more peacful than lagos state self. There'll obviously be more Muslim over there but Christians are well rooted too. No need to fear of you belief in One Nigeria; if you know........... 1 Like |
