The reigning Miss Ambassador For Peace Nigeria, Queen Judith Okwunodu has released her first official photo shoot ‎after her emergence as the winner at the star-studded finals of the 2015 event held in Sheraton hotel Abuja.

 The shoots which were taken in choice locations is designed to promote the Queen Judith Okwunodu Peace Football Tournament holding in Delta state‎ from 21st - 27th of December. 

 Eight communities in Ika North-East LGAw, Delta State will be involved in this one week tournament. The participating teams ‎drawn from the state are Otolokpo, Umunede, Ute-Okpu, Akumazi, Owa-Aliro, Nbiri, Owerri-Olubu and Owa-Oyibo. 

‎ ‎ Winner of this soccer contest will go home with the sum of N200,000,  first Runner-up 150,000 and Second Runner-up 100,000 with the Grand Finale holding on 27th December at  Umunede, Delta State. 

 Prior to this arrangement, the beauty queen‎ visited the IDP camp in Abuja where she gave out cash and food items, and also encouraged them to be strong.

 Speaking to cross section of journalists, the project director Amb. Kingsley Amafibe said the Queen Judith Okwunodu Peace Football Tournament is a soccer contest aimed at promoting peace and uniting the people of the state especially at this festive period. He further stated that the choice of the football concept is because football is a passionate unifying factor in the world today. According to him, the visit to Abuja IDP camp is to provide for those affected by bomb blast and other disasters that has bedeviled  the northern part of Nigeria. ‎‎‎

OLAKUNLE CHURCHILL the husband of star actress, Tonto Dike was recently attacked few days ago with his friend who had just returned from the United States of America, on a visit to Ghana for the first time.

Churchill, who had just picked up his business partner cum friend from the Kotoka International Airport in Ghana, had his car blocked by a group of young men who immediately brought out harmful weapons to attack them after first pretending to be allies.

But when things went out of hands, the security men were called into action as they reacted swiftly and made sure that serenity was restored and Churchill and his friend were driven home safely.

Briefing  our correspondent, the attack according to the security personnel (who has asked that his name and that of his colleagues be kept unknown for now), who witnessed everything that occurred that night said that the duo was saved by the sheer grace of God; because the hoodlums who caused the stir in the neighborhood came with vicious intentions tracing Churchill and friend from outside, but they were halted by the tight security men who were guarding the environs at that moment.

According to our further follow-up on this issue, we can report that both Churchill and his friend have formally made their own side of the story known to the district police station in the area.

Also, whatever may follow suit in regards to this case, we shall bring to the notice of the public accordingly.

The city of Abuja was practically the nation's centre of attraction on the prestigious evening of the grand Finale of Miss Ambassador For Peace and Peace Achievers Award as top profile celebrities and notable personalities besieged the event in the numbers. The highly publicised pageant and award show had several entertaining comedy attractions and impressive musical performances that left the audience screaming for more. 

‎The 4th edition of the colourful event saw the emergence of  20 year old Judith Okwunodu from Delta State as the 2015 Miss Ambassador For Peace Queen. The 400level undergraduate of university of Abuja was given Venza 2014 model car as her prize. 7 other winners were crowned to be part of the peace crusaders and  peace education campaign activists.

 
Amb. Kingsley Amafibe, the CEO of the project said that this year's event which involved alot of fund to host is designed to empower the young ladies and also use them as agents of peace campaigns. He further buttressed that the award was to celebrate and honour those who have been instrumental to achieving and preaching peace in their different fields of endeavours. The young man doubles as the project director of South South Progressive Awards which will be staged in Asaba soon.

It was glitz and glamour on 14thNovember 2015 as Ifeoma Sharon Anya (Miss Tourism Nigeria World 2015/2016) added a cap to her crown in Umuezeora Enugwu Aguleri, Anambra state at the annual Eri Festival to commemorate the time and arrival of Eri, (the Progenitor of the Igbo race at Ime Obu-Gad Palace) as she was crowned Chief. His Royal Highness, His Majesty Eze Chukwuemeka Eri (JP) Eze Eri, Ezeora 34th and Eze Aka Ji Ovo Igbo was all smiles as he decorated 9 new chiefs.


He had earlier taken the guests down memory lane, and ensuring everyone understood the Igbo heritage, Ifeoma intimated him with her pet project which is to revive and rebrand the history of the igbo race which starts from aguleri (Obu-Gad) the King was so pleased with her and decided to award her with a chieftancy title as the "ADA EJI EJE MBA 1 OF ENUGWU AGULERI, Anambra State. Meaning a Woman Of Substance. For a beauty queen to come up with reviving her tradition is a great thing. 


Amongst the chiefs were veteran actor Bob Manual Udokwu and Miss Tourism Nigeria World, Queen Ifeoma Sharon Anya who took on the extra lifelong responsibility with great strides and pride. Congratulations to His Majesty Eze Chukwuemeka Eri (JP) and all the newly appointed chiefs.

I don't know how true this research is, but someone just shared details of jobs that are depriving ladies the opportunity of finding a husband or getting married to the right man. See the list:

1. Strippers
This is a profession ladies do at expensive lounges and bars where they display almost all the glory of their body for viewers discretion to enjoy. Hardly can you see any sensible man who will marry such.

2. Prostitution
People often say that getting acquitted to a prostitute is not a bad idea, but the truth is, how many men can keep their eyes wide open and take such a decision. Ladies who go into prostitution find it very difficult to find husband unless they hide under the canopy of born again, just as we see in churches.

Most men believe that ladies who are into marketing are promiscuous in nature due to the unrealistic target set by some organization. These are category of ladies you see in financial institution with deflated bosom as if "Olympus has fallen".

4. Acting/Modelling
Most actresses live exorbitant lifestyles that can chase guys away. Men often bash female actress and modellers because they believe that they always offer their body to producers in a bid to get famous.

5. Weight Lifters
Many guys are like "I no fit marry woman wey go dey beat me for house."

6. Paramilitary and Military Force
As a single lady if you join a paramilitary or military force, the chances to getting a husband may be slim because guys will assume such ladies will possess arrogant behaviour.

7. Alcoholic Drinks Sellers
Ladies who sell alcoholic drinks stand the chance of being molested by drunkards. A guy seeing that his girlfriend is being sexually embarrassed by drunks may not find it funny at all.

8. Offshore job
Life at offshore is not easy because the workers face harsh weather condition like cold, etc even though their monthly take home is huge. Ladies who fall under this category of profession seldom have time for social life as there may be delay in getting husband

The season 10 of Avant Garde, Abuja's popularly monthly concert indeed lived up to its billing especially with regards to the massive turnout and stage breaking performances from the different invited artists.

The concept of this edition was unique‎ because of blend of comedy and live band presentations which obviously kept the audience up the feet screaming for more.

One after the other, the artists thrill their fans and audience as the hosts Laffin Gas and MC Smart held the stage with their rib-cracking ‎jokes and moderations.

‎The high point of the event was the appearance of the guest artists Praiz and Jumabee. Other artists that displayed are Bez, Simi, Bondo, AdilaDanceAcrobatics, Districkt. Matters, Emperor Effizy, Zinny, Raplord, FO & more.

Pamela Peter-Vigboro Leesi, representing Cross Rover State, was crowned Miss Nigeria 2015 in the early hours of Sunday at Oriental Hotel, Victoria, Lagos. Very little is known about the winner.

In fact very little is known about this year's competition – the 39th in the series.
Grace Oyelude, the 84-year-old winner of the inaugural the contest in 1957, was a more trending topic in the hours leading to the final.
Musician, Yemi Alade, was the star performer on the night

Ruth Osime, Lanre Da Silva, Audu Maikori, Adebola Williams and Mai Atafo joined others to decide who got the tiara.
Even Twitter, the platform for everything serious and banal, largely ignored the contest.
Daily Times, owners of the Nigeria's oldest beauty competition, was as uninformed as million of Nigerians.
The media organisation has only copied and pasted tweets from the competition on its website as at the time of writing this.
Precious little has happened since the now 24-year-old Ezinne Akudo won in 2013.

The last entry posted in the news category on the pageant's website was on October 12, 2014.
A last minute attempt at generating media buzz few days before the competition ended in a whimper.
AIT did broadcast the event live but it was too little too late.
Organisers now have the task of playing post-event catch-up.
Miss Nigeria has evolved over the years but what is left is a shell of the glitz and glamour perhaps last witnessed with the crowning of Bibiana Ohio in 1991.

The scrapping of the swimsuit segment, stiff competition from the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria (MBGN) which produced Miss World Agbani Darego in 2001, age and certificate scandal, and change of franchisees – from Nike Oshinowo in 2010 to Elizabeth Aisien in 2012 – have all conspired to rob the pageant of its shine.
Miss Nigeria winners no longer represent the country at international pageants after Nwando Okwuosa at Miss International 2003, focusing now on charities and soirees at home.

Pamela may therefore not achieve the fame of Oyelude, Rosemary Anieze (1960), Yemi Idowu (1962), Helen Prest (1979), Binta Sukai (1990), Vien Tetsola (2000) and Sylvia Edem (2002) but she has been promised N5million, an SUV, six-month skill acquisition programme in any institution, one-year paid apartment and all expense paid trip to three different countries for her trouble.
That, and an escape from Twitter troll, should make the 22-year-old happy. For now.

Nneze Richards, a 22-year-old graduate of Accountancy from the Enugu State University of Science and Technology has joined the league of Nigerian beauty queens.

The Enugu State-born beauty emerged winner of the Miss Independence Nigeria beauty pageant held in Abuja on Friday, October 30.

She represented the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and the Toyota Corolla car star prize of the competition organised by Abuja based Link-Up Entertainment Company.

The pageant was graced by top entertainment personalities, including popular comedian, Klint da Drunk, and Nollywood actors like Femi Branch and Sir Sidney Diala.

First runner-up, 21-year-old Susan Michael, from Ogoja in Cross River State, was crowned Miss Independence Nigeria Culture, a position which makes her culture ambassador for the country.

Michael, who also represented Cross River State at the pageant, is a second year student of International Studies at the Federal University, Lokoja.

The second runner-up is 20-year-old Zoe Enabs, from Edo, who also represented her home state in the contest. The final year student of the University of Benin was crowned Miss Independence Nigeria Tourism.

Linda Nnamonu of Link -Up Entertainment told journalists that the company took up the challenge of organising the Miss Independence Nigeria Beauty pageant seven years ago to promote Nigeria’s rich cultural heritage, her colourful costumes, unity, patriotism, peace and to celebrate the country’s vibrant youths to mark October 1st Independence Day.

According to her, the pageant which is meant to be an annual affair is just one of the worthy causes Link-Up Entertainment is committed to.

“We are also committed to promotion of education with special target on rural areas. Our target is to help upgrade standard of education given to the children living in rural areas through our outreach programme Outreach to Children in Rural Area (YOCRA),” Nnamonu said

The much anticipated Face Of Education Nigeria Initiative took centre stage recently at the prestigious Sheraton Hotels & Towers Abuja. 

The colourful and star-studded event saw the emergence of 19 year old Eva Chukwudi  From Anambra State as the winner.

Several top Nollywood actors, entertainment practitioners and beauty queens were in attendance as over 30 contestants battled it out on stage for the title. 

Some Nollywood stars like Bruno Iwuoha, Sani Danja Manager, Rita Edochie, Camella Mberekwe, Agility Onwura, Victor Osuagwu witnessed the crowning of the first ever Face Of Education Nigeria Initiative Queen, an academic based contest where the contestants where tasked intellectually by high profile judges like Amb. Kingsley Amafibe - Ceo Miss Ambassador For Peace, Amb. Roland -CEO Face Of Culture Nigeria amongst others.
 
At the event, popular actor Victor Osuagwu was honoured as the Nollywood Comic Actor Of The Year, Amb. Kingsley Amafibe received Young Entreprenuer Of The Year, as well as Agility Onwura the Chairman Actors Guild of Nigeria- Abuja Chapter.

Also honoured was Hon. Ejiro Okpihwo CEO Most Beautiful Girl In Abuja who came on stage with his Queens to receive the award. To receive for Sani Danja was his publicist AlexReports as the actor was unavoidably indisposed.

The Kogi state Born model who was signed to Amity Global Models defeated about 30 contestants to emerge th‎e Nigerian cultural Queen. Susan recently called on the Ministry of Education and Nigerian Government to encourage the used of Nigerian indigenous languages from primary to University as part of school subjects or curriculum.

‎As at press time plans are already at the advanced stage to launch her project with high powered media conference in Abuja.  Last night she was honoured with an award as Nigerian Beauty Q‎ueen of the Year at the 15th Anniversary Edition Of Most Beautiful Girl In Abuja pageant held in Transcorp Hilton- Abuja.
